@@kontrystieI could never defeat Bowser's Castle and both SNES tracks' ghosts Those were the only 3 ghosts I could never surprass as a child SNES Mario Circuit 3 even had like 8 seconds of advantage 💀💀💀💀
I have watched poof play this since the beginning of his MKWii journey and I feel like I can count the amount of time he has used the wheelie on a single hand😂
I can count the amount of time's he's made any effort to not get hit by a bullet bill on 0 hands. He always just stays right in the middle of the road and whines when they hit him after making 0 effort to attempt evasion.
some easy tips to help: 1. use stand still mini turbos, these are essential on mach bike which has bad acceleration, just brake and accelerate until you see the blue spark. a. another option is to use the dolphin dasher, its still faster to do SSMTs if you get hit, but if you forget you can just accelerate and the difference in time isn't that bad, and extra weight on top of it to get bumped less. the trade off is that you lose drift and speed, but its still a solid option. 2. wheelie whenever possible, pretty much wheelie on straightaways unless there are CPU's near you, or else you will be wheeliebumped. its free speed for minimal risk most of the time. to exit a wheelie easily, just hit the drift button. it becomes second nature really quickly. 3. avoid falling at all costs, the rating penalty for this is so severe that even being hit twice is preferable. if you do fall, accelerate right as you land to go back to top speed immediately. 4. hit opponents, this will make your rating better and can offset a lot of mistakes, the easiest way to do this is with bananas or fake item boxes, just use them in narrow passageways or near item boxes and a lot of the time, you will get someone. it should be really easy to get a single star (even 2 and 3 stars sometimes) even if you mess up a lot after learning these
Every single factor in reality just comes down to "how fast you are", because I do think the only factor when it comes to cup rankings is just your time per race (since you can get 3rd and A ranking). When it comes to bonus points for blocking items, well... that's probably just placebo, since that's time you didn't lose.
maybe not as much as the time trial ones to unlock the other characters like Funky Kong, Baby Luigi, Toadette and Birdo. he's gonna be resetting perfectly good time trials for unlocking the fast staff ghost because he hit a wall and it "wasn't good enough" (kind of like how he reset every bowling game that wasn't a perfect game when all he needed was to go pro)
It’s time for the big guns of Mario Kart Wii The 3 stars Everything sucks about getting a Star and it’s so challenging 1 Star: 36/54 points or higher 2 Star: 38/57 or higher 3 Star: 60 Points perfection This must all be done while trying not to get hit a lot,not touching grass, using items, and staying in 1st for the longest time Let’s see how Poof does
Poof, if you get hit into a stand still, or hit an item, hold A and B then let go to charge a mini turbo, (blue sparks at your rear wheel) and you’ll accelerate back to full speed instantly
For this challenge, you REALLY need to get out of the habit of restarting after a subpar performance. Any decent performance could surprise you and just complete a cup, ending a race in 7th is a valid reason to restart. Plus the amount of practice you get on any of the 4th maps in any cup is drastically lower than than the rest. So even if you end up playing well on the first three after restarting for ages, 4th map could destroy you since you wouldn't have practiced it
Trying to get a 1-Star Rank allows for some leeway, but not too much. To earn a 1-Star Rank, you'll still have to play well. -You are allowed to bang into walls (1 or 2 times) -You are allowed to bang into obstacles (1 or 2 times) -Stay on road as much as you can (Off-roading is allowed 2 to 3 times without a boost) -Try not to fall off the track (Once is allowed, twice almost guarantees a non-Star Rank) -Do as many tricks/tactics as you can. Drift Boost, Snaking, Wheelie, etc. (This is a rumor, but it may help) -Stay in first for a good amount of the race -Try not use items to catch up to other players (once is allowed. Ties into the above reason) -Finish as fast as possible -You must get 53 points or more (47 according to Milon) as your grand total
When this game first came out I thought star ranking was based on the time difference between first and second, it was safe to say I learned every track to get those stars
Poof, you can half-dodge the Pow. Just shake the wiimote like you mean it right when the Pow is about to take effect, and you won't lose (much) speed. You'll see little circles appear on the ground around your character if you do it right.
The easiest way to get three stars is to drive well( stay in first place) only go off-road with boosts, and MOST IMPORTANTLY hit other racers with other items. I fell off the map twice in one Grand Prix and still managed to get three stars.
Basically there is a par time to beat on each track. Hitting items/ walls, going off road without boosts and falling off, and staying near last place all reduce the par time, while hitting other racers with items, getting mini turbos, and staying in first place all increase the par time.
We all know how much Poof loves Wii Sports golf so to make it easier and much more fun, you can hold down 2 after the Mii selection screen and keep it held down until you start the match. This will unlock super fun mode and it really gives you a new feel to the game.
Hey Poof, I have done this and I have to say, it is quite the challenge, so my advice, get funky kong on the bowser bike for supreme power.(this fantastic combo will also make this challenge a bit easier..)
Poof big fan. I love these mario kart Wii vids cause it’s my favorite game when I was little. Last month I unlocked all the characters in the game like funky kong, Daisy, Dry Bowser and more. It’s a hard challenge so maybe you can consider it to keep the game in the rotation of videos that you make. Keep up the amazing vids man
I went through this challenge years ago and got up to 2 stars. I thought for the longest time, the rating was just subjective/random. I had no idea items or offroad time actually made a difference.
There's 1-star rank, 2-star rank, and 3-star rank, 3-star being the hardest to earn. To get the 1-star rank, the player needs to get 36 points or higher (54 or higher in later games). To get the 2-star rank, the player needs to get 38 points or higher (57 or higher in later games). To get the 3-star rank, the player needs to get a maximum of 40 points (60 in later games). However, in Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart Wii, falling off a pit at a certain time may cancel the star ranks in a cup. As well as hitting walls or colliding with fixed objects, driving off-road (unless it is with a boost), crashing into beasts such as Goombas or Moo Moos, and staying in 9-12th place for too long. Using Items to avoid getting hit by other items add bonuses to your Star Rank, as well as using these items to hit other CPUs.
3 stars isn’t hard, you have to boost start every time, avoid hitting the sides and obstacles and stay on the track, get a higher hit to being hit ratio, and finish every race lower than a predetermined set time. It can take a few tries depending on the aggressiveness of the AI but you can do it easily. As long as you drift, take tight racing line turns, and have good defence (basically hoard items and hold defensive items behind your kart to stop red shells etc) you should be fine.
As someone who has all stars on my profile, here is some advice: 1. You don't always have to win, it is recommended that you do win since it boost your chances of getting the star ranking. 2. Whatever you do, DON'T FALL TWICE! 3. stay on on the roads as much as possible, going off-road can kill your star ranking 4. You can hit walls but don't hit them more than twice.
I can see to all 3 stars if you have the racing driver resolve, a F1 driver like Michael Schumacher, Nico Rosberg, even Ayrton Senna, Alian Prost then you still got a long road to glory.
The unplayable players will switch for who goes for first often and the ones that go for last. The game is made that way. Will adjust on the course somewhat to the left and right. The n64 the players would stay in the middle. So, if to use a shell backward. Would be to use the shell in the middle of the road.
So your rank is based off “hidden points” and performing mini turbos from drifting as well as hitting opponents with items grants hidden points. So spamming those during races can help guarantee at least 1 star, even if you have fallen off a course, hit a lot of objects, or gone off road a lot. Even helps get a star without getting first every race
If you take a closer look at 9:53, you can see King Boo got decked, and Bowser passed him. But if you look at the score, it shows King Boo still finished 2nd place.
so who's gonna tell him that not wheelying is slowing him down SO MUCH | also not making sharp enough turns to constantly be using the mini turbo drift boost is also making him a snail
For a little extra incentive to get all the stars, you can unlock a character for doing it, and it’s the hardest one to unlock, not gonna say who, but you can do it.
Tip for poof: don’t boost jump on every mushroom in a row (in the cave) you go faster if you go every second one and make sure you boost on the last mushroom This is for when he attempts 3 stars
