Full home tour of my new HDB apartment in Singapore. I'm taking you inside of our apartment and show you what S$500,000 can get you in Singapore. This size of an apartment (4 room flat - around 100sqm) is quite standard in Singapore, though some people prefer to purchase a 5 room flat which is significantly larger. Singapore is one of the most expensive countries in the world, but they provide affordable housings for their citizens. Usually HDB public housing flats cost somewhere around $300,000 - $1Million depending on the age, location and amenities of the flat. We are excited to start our new life here, and I hope you enjoyed this tour of our humble home.

For the air-fryer, try to put it in the open space when using it, because the heat generated is quite high. It might destroy your cabinet

$20k is very cheap for the works done ! (kitchen cabinets, toilets carpentry, wardrobe, demolitions and sliding doors etc.). Can you share who is your ID contractor?

Woah.....that soundbar is not cheap. S$1500. I heard a demo of it, and it's damn nice. Supports Dolby Atmos and man, you can really tell the sounds coming from around you. Sad to say, I can't afford it. By the time I save up for it, I think they'll have like version 4 or 5 liao.....lol.

We bought it as a resale and didn’t do much! We mainly only renovated the two toilets and hacked off the wall+added bifold glasses.

I believe having cats in HDB is very common Ghib. As long as you do not own 20 cats, let them wander around into someone elses home, meow incessantly, pee/poo at common area... you are fine

I assume the unit has relatively low number of years left in the remaining lease, yes? it seems to be an issue for many buyers, how do you guys approach it? does this affect your planning? the balcony is lovely and the unit is very close to what I'm looking for. for a 500k flat in singapore, I see a lot of value here. happy for you!

U can have cats in sg flats (the govnt closes one eye to this), so long as ur cat dont disturb the neighbours too much that they lodge a report. I have two cats. ADOPT NOT SHOP!!

Is the bi-fold doors made of aluminium? How much and who is the vendor? Does it affects the tiles of the floor when you hacked? Does the floor tiles comes with the flat?

Bathroom exhaust fans are not commonly seen in Singapore. In such a humid climate, an exhaust fan to get rid of excess moisture during and after a shower seems like essential equipment. Not to mention exhausting foul odours.

Yes I’ve heard properties are expensive there! The cost was not too high because we purchased a public housing. Condos can cost way more💰
