Experience the language. Become the language.
A few things have changed. Pablo shows his much more compact studio, and how he livestreams and records himself playing video games.
Research shows that the best way to learn a language is to have authentic experiences with it with Comprehensible Input.
Rather than boring grammar lessons, we provide free interesting listening experiences for learners of Spanish. By listening to our stories, culture explanations and games, you will get used to real Spanish as it's used in context, and develop a native-like intuition for the grammar and the vocabulary, together with a clear pronunciation. The videos try to be easy enough for a complete beginner to start picking up the language.
Comprehensible Input means that the videos try to use basic Spanish as much as possible and be easy enough for a complete beginner in the language to get the gist of the story and start picking up vocabulary. That way you'll get that i+1 necessary to make fast progress in the language.

We use the same mouse, Pablo. I think it's the biggest vertical mouse on the market.

There is always something to improve in the studio! Congratulations! Looks clean and practical. Especially the way you have saved the space behind the desk. What about your microphone? Do you prefer that it's plugged in your phone to be able to move around or directly to your computer? What do you use when you draw on the screen - is it a graphical editor or you actually draw on ANY part of your screen? That's a cool little switcher you have. I am using OBS studio for those kind of tasks. But your thing there looks easier to use. Thank you for sharing your experience. I have more questions than that 😅

For the microphone I use a Tascam DR-10L. Before I used an old iPhone also with a lavalier mic and it worked okay. I tried connecting the mic to a computer, but I got a lot of electrical noise. For the drawing, I use a Wacom tablet and the site canvas.apps.chrome

@@DreamingSpanish I see, thanks, Pablo! May be you would also like EpicPen. You can look how I use it here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uj4qkdtdAvA.html It's a game changer as you can draw anywhere you want on the screen. Magic app

@@DreamingSpanish You know I thought what were the questions I wanted to ask and actually I realised that what I have are not particular questions but rather questions that suggest a discussion. Especially on the theory and the method. If you ever have a wish and some time for a talk I would be happy to have one with you.

Pablo, what are your thoughts on learning certain dialects of Spanish? For me, my family is from Puerto Rico so I want to eventually learn Puerto Rican slang and accent. But I enjoy your videos a lot even though you speak Spain Spanish. Do you think that I should focus on the Puerto Rican dialect after I have become fluent in the Spanish Language? What do you think?
@DreamingSpanish
@DreamingSpanish 3 года назад
Since I imagine there are very few resources for Puerto Rican Spanish, yes, I'd recommend first getting comfortable with the language and then using Puerto Rican native media and talking to people from there to learn the things that are specific to that dialect.

I'm learning Puerto Rican Spanish as well cause we're moving to Florida! If you know any good puerto rican content to listen to, do tell me!
@jkasenberg
@jkasenberg 2 года назад
@@jamesmccloud7535 The only thing I've really found as far as Puerto Rican content goes is a podcast called En Serio, but it's very very difficult to understand. For the past year, I have been really bad about tracking my input hours outside of Dreaming Spanish, but I'd estimate I'm at somewhere between 250-300 hours total, and En Serio is still well beyond my pay grade. If you find something easier, definitely post it here!
