Hi. I totally get what you’re feeling. I have seen people from medical and non medical also switching their fields to marketing, in my class. So, don’t worry. You’re not missing out. But anyways for grad, if you want to go for branding and marketing, there isn’t any course in nift. Grad courses are all about design or design tech or FC. So, for that something like b.com, or bms would be good. The masters course in NIFT that is MFM, what i did, is more towards that. Hope this was helpful.

NIFT definitely has a good reputation that follows through when you’re searching for a job. And it depends on your hardwork too. So dont worry, just focus on learning for these 4 years.

Uh I am not sure for other courses. You can connect with the bachelors students on linkedin and ask them, they’d be happy to help. If i talk about MFM, any laptop would be great.

See, it also depends on how much efforts you put in finding a good job. If you have the capabilities, you can do it. And anyways NIFT name does add to a lot, when you apply for a job. But yes, placements are fucked up no doubt.

I understand. 1st year for graduation is the Foundation Programme, where all the students are taught the basics of design. Then beginning of second year; you’ll be doing your picked course. After that you can go for SPT if you’ve good grades. NIFT has a procedure called SPT (Student Permanent Transfer) which allows students to change centres and/or courses permanently after the end of the 2nd semester. The formalities for this process will start once you enter into your 2nd semester and requires you to give your name and the centre or department you want to transfer too.
