I wish you good luck! I was a coffee addict and I had to quit! After going carnivore a year and half in I quite Coffee and its been 1 1/2 years now. At first I used to also try different alternative hot beverages but now I don't desire anything. Just wake up stretch and do my morning workout and even in winter I now only drink water! Its still puzzling to me but putting coffee down was the best thing and In a caffeine junkie anymore! hahahahahah Good stuff!

Yes!!! So happy for you! I quit last year, tried introducing it again over the summer. All my horrible symptoms came back. As a 6yr carnivore I’m pretty sensitive to anything that goes into my stomach. Being caffeine free is amazing!

I’m doing the same for January. I didn’t really think I depended on it, but I had a headache the first day.😮 I’m surprised that hot water is enough for me now. Sometimes after meals I like to make a fat latte (egg yoke, hot water and butter whisked).

May I make a comment ? :-) I have nothing against people taking these LMNT electrolyte solutions however I want to point out 2 things : a) The company that makes this product is big enough and profitable enough to send free samples to 1000's of people as well as offering large discounts to customers and, b) Whilst I do not doubt the efficacy of the product I do question the body's overall response to a product that is actually processed. It's not natural. Really, the questions I have are : 1) Is it really necessary ? 2) Do you (we) have an electrolyte deficiency ? 3) If you went back in time and gave this product to paleo man would he have a greater and more healthy life ? 4) Should we be wary of trendy products from massive companies ?? 5) Can we solve the problem, if there is a problem, in a different or better way ? If I wanted a warm brew in the morning I'd have hot bone broth and a warm soft boiled egg. And a stick of butter perhaps. What do you think ? :-)

LMNT (the unflavored version) is just salt, magnesium, and potassium. The flavored ones have all kinds of fake sweeteners. Those are definitely out for me. I really don't think any electrolyte supplements are needed unless you are running marathons in Arizona or are doing some extended fasting. Bone broth gives you everything you need.
@adelarsen9776
@adelarsen9776 Год назад
@@robinbeers6689 Yes Robin. I agree. I am sure that people in the city are dying from air pollution more than taking these supplements but I do question the need to take something that is essentially a man made product. Eating red meat gives you all the building blocks for potassium, magnesium and salts. I consume natural unprocessed salt from a million year old lake which has a full mineral profile. I just put it on my food or a half teaspoon in water. No packets no profits. Anyway, to be fair and balanced, these LMNT drinks are probably better than breathing in city air and living inside an apartment filled with building products which leach noxious fumes. I just won't be taking them any time soon. I don't need them. Does anyone ?
@robinbeers6689
@robinbeers6689 Год назад
@@adelarsen9776The unflavored one won't do any harm but I don't think it's needed either unless you have some extreme need such as elite level athletics or really long fasting. Also electrolyte supplementation can help get a person transitioning to carnivore through the "keto-flu" adjustment. On an ongoing basis for most people though, I don't think these are anything but a waste of money. Any time a dietary plan becomes popular, there will be somebody there figuring out a way to cash in on it with a product they tell you you must have.

Surprised no one on here has pointed out that the quality of salt that LMNT uses is not good. You go out of your way to use Redmond’s but you don’t question the shwaggy salt in this product?

I eliminate coffee every 2 to 3 weeks. After a month or so I drink it again ( because I love the taste of it). People who never tried to live without coffee don't understand and will never understand what you talking about. They can't compare it to another side of it so they always comment about how good coffee is for them.

I'm a completely fat-adapted (thanks to carnivore) endurance athlete who drinks one cup of pre-run organic coffee, infused with extracts of organic cordyceps and ganoderma (reishi) mushrooms to boost performance. BTW I'm 60 y.o. and I run 60 to 100 miles a week. So, my pre-run cup is important to me. 👍
