Great video, lot's of detail as usual. I use P&S Brake Buster diluted at 5:1 on wheels and tires that are not heavily soiled, if the tires are browning I use it full strength. I have been using it for a few years and I get great results, and if bought by the gallon it's really economical. When it's finished I might try the Armour Detail supply, but for an all in one solution for both wheels and tires P&S works great. Thanks again for the video.
You can use the tire cleaner as all in one for maintenance but the wheel cleaner has the iron remover. What amazes me with the tire cleaner is how it just foams right from a normal trigger spray bottle.
Those two products (wheel and tire cleaners) look like they work great. Especially that tire cleaner. WOW. I was impressed when you first sprayed the tire and it instantly started turning the tire brown and all the gunk and previous whatever that was on the tire started to breakdown and run down the tire wall. I am definitely getting a gallon of that stuff! Armour Detail Supply is one of the best detailing supply company's out there right now. There products just WORK. And work well. Those are the kind of products a professional detailer needs. Stuff that they can rely upon to do the job right the first time, everytime. Makes getting the job done a lot easier too.
The two ADs products are absolutely fantastic if you have wheels and tires from someone who you've never seen before. On a well maintained vehicles where you are doing rims monthly, the brake buster is a go to. The ADS tire cleaner though is next level and I haven't seen anything that comes close to matching it for the price.
I don’t have a wash keg. If I don’t have hose access, I use a second bucket with just water and a pump sprayer. I refill the pump sprayer using the water bucket and adjust the spray nozzle to what I need it to be. As for chemicals, I use Adams Eco Wheel Cleaner, Adams Tire and Rubber Cleaner, and Chemical Guys VRP (Dressing). I could go on and on with my process, but it would be a book if I typed it all out. Lol
You would likely need to refill once or twice. For reference, good detail pressure washers put out about 2gpm and you can get around the car in around 5 minutes or less. I have rinsed off the sides of the vehicle and the hood multiple times using a single fill. When I continuously use it, I generally hold the keg and compressor in one hand and let the compressor pump the keg as I use it, similar to how the E Foam Pro 12 works. I have 4 total kegs right now and one is designated for rinseless wash and has a different hose and wand. I'm working on a video on how to build one, but it's a lot of production and editing.
Their tire shine is bussin and I have the first version. And I’m gonna do the same when their Decon wash comes out and I’ll pick up the newest version of the tire shine..
This was an excellent video, and just what i needed as I had questions about using tire and wheel chemicals with no hose available. Also, a wonderful tip on using the wood! That will be so handy in the future.
Great vid Mike! I use the ADS maybe once every 4 months for a deep clean. For the maintenance washes I use Nanoskin Wheel and Tire cleaner. At $24.00 a gallon it’s all you need. And you dilute it 1-4. You can thank me later 💯💪🏼
I spray with water the brushes every time I use them to be clean for the next wheel but I need a stronger sprayer like the one you have can you tell me what is called pls?
I call it a wash keg, but some people call them detail kegs. They're converted 5 gallon kegs that used to be used in the soda industry and are now used by people who brew their own beer and now, detail cars.. you can buy them from people already done, or make your own. (I'm working on a build your own video).
By the time you set all this up, just go to the neighborhood car wash and call it a day.. Ridiculous You have clear coat failure because of the chemicals you're using. It's turning purple because it has iron remover in it. Buy Adam's Tire and Wheel cleaner.. You don't need to buy 2 products.
