3:22 I love how he’s surprised by the price, I was equally surprised when I went art supply shopping for the first time and just staring at the price tag of a paintbrush and wondering if it was perhaps made with unicorn’s tail hair

Aren't they cute when they go shopping with us? My husband wanders off then comes back with some random item and says, "Babe, you could make so and so with this". He often has really good ideas I wouldn't have thought of.

gotta admit, the first purple outline I was like.... uhhhh, then it all came together, the pizza has a cool 3d look and the melted cheese is perfect, the colors match together well and the whole thing has an art deco early 90s cartoon vibe, it's awesome 👍

I have been using Poscas to keep myself occupied during a long-term hospital stay. I found that you can actually blend or even mix them really well with basic cotton buds (q-tips). Just work on smaller sections at a time and layer your colors. Then use the cotton bud to blend them together.

My non-artist brother once bought me art supplies. He picked out an Artist Loft watercolour paint set and Artist Loft watercolour paper. They weren't things I'd have bought myself (I can be a bit of a snob about my watercolour paints) but on the whole, he did pretty well figuring out the kinds of things that I like to work with.

My 5 year old son was watching the video with me, when you said it might be cheating, he said "she can do whatever she wants, she's good at the art" 🎨

It would be really neat to see your boyfriend pick out a few art supplies from ones you already own. They would be ones you are familiar with using but based on what he chooses you would possibly have to use them in ways you never thought of. I enjoyed this video and live the idea of having someone else pick out supplies you wouldn't normally pick for yourself. I may have to try this out myself. 💜

I watched with my 8 year old, and he wants to try that out! Get some random supplies and do something on a paddle too, haha. I told him it can be a summer vacation activity.

Oh Lord, seeing that paddle again sent me back to my sorority days 😔 we gave our bigs and our pledge moms a paddle while we were pledging. We also got them for our bigs' 21st birthdays, graduation, and (if you stayed in touch) weddings. My big made me a paddle for my 21st and my graduation and I cried bc I thought I wasn't gonna get one bc I didn't have a little but my big surprised me! The tears were also due to my family line getting bullied through my whole time in my sorority and going extinct after me but knowing that my line was still there for me.

I love this!! The pizza turned out really cute. I wouldn’t have thought to outline it in purple but it was a good choice to make it pop out more! The unicorn spit stain actually really added some oompth to the pepperoni! And the garnish at the end was a good idea too. I cringed at that one $7 pack of brushes too😂 the one with the visible glue💀him picking out the supplies didn’t go as wrong as I thought it would and that is solely due to the POSCA pens😂

I used 3 of those paddles and drew large breeds of birds on them in ink. They look awesome. 😁👋🧡

I have used Unicorn Spit before, and it’s actually really fun to use. It is water based, so you have to use an oil based sealent, but itd good for doing abstract stuff. I actually have a drawing desk which my mum painted like a galaxy for me, which I really like

That paddle is so triggering but better once painted. My principal at private school used to have a wooden paddle he would use on children who misbehaved. He would use it on me because I wouldn't stop crying which only made me cry more. :( I probably would have been distracted enough to stop if it been glittery and pizza 🍕 on it like this.

The wooden paddle is something we often use in fraternities! They’re usually what bigs give their littles after the complete the pledging process or the little will give to a big for graduating :)

The artwork came out nicely. It’s fun to do different styles and not just do the same one 100% of the time. I think you should go back and get those other markers now and do a video with them.

A hair clipper can be an alterative for your mic, jus a drop of hot glue or e 6000 an it should work as clip for the cloth. I think if you might had use orange or red on the chees it would looked a little more like chees on a pizza, also a orange outline might had hav better, maybe. Ilike such competitions, butmy brain is sik, Ihad emidiatly some idea. 😁

You could probably use a binder clip or a hair clip for your mic. Or even just put a regular pin over it to hold it up.

Don't might have to call foul send it to the judges unfair influence over the chooser may need to demand an interference free rematch but the art did look good we'll have to wait for the judges decision.

Good luck teaching him to read the back of anything. I've got serious food allergies. Forty-two years now, my husband still doesn't read ingredient labels. He recently got me kale chips as a New Treat and I read the label and say, "Why did you get me corn chips?" And he was offended because "It says KALE!" Well, yes, there is SOME kale in there, but ON THE INGREDIENT LABEL, it says CORN FIRST, which as I've told him eleventy BILLION TIMES, means it's mostly corn. Which I do not tolerate. Thread your mic into one button hole and out of the next one up this may hole it just above your top. You also could use a safety pin - not through the wire but have it to pin to your top. Of course you art is wow - yes even when things do not go to plan. I like how you say what you thing and let us know about the different art items out there. Thumbs up for bf chosen items.

This is really cute and the red spit works well, shimmery shiny. The white and purple reminds me of the E4 tv channel logo. It’s a good combo.

What you said about liking something then coming back to it later and hating it? I (fortunately) have the opposite happen. I can work on something for a while, maybe even like it for a while, then I'll hit a point where I feel like I'm making it worse and I'll stop there, convinced I've ruined it. Then I come back the next morning and like it much better.
