I was an exchange student to Norway. I loved every bit of it. It taught me to explore & enjoy the beauty of God's creation. I learned to eat healthy too.

I'm 2 years into a 10 years plan (then I'm 50) it looks like it will happen much sooner than I expected, but I'm not doing this rat race anymore. I'm leaving all that shit behind and focus the important parts.
This is absolutely beautiful. I have always wished to live in the mountains or somewhere away from the bustling city. Going back to nature and appreciating it's richness and beauty is just a GIFT.

@tshansen personally, I think It's how life has turned out to be. We work and take care of what we need to, and technology is something we kind of need to do most of the things in modern life, but as long as we don't lose track of ourselves and spend time in nature to look after it.

Yeah, and I think that is a misunderstood term (simple life) Nothing in this life is simple, and if it is, you gain nothing from it. You need to get out there and do work you are happy doing, grow something, interact with animals, use your body to change something and stop taking all luxury for granted. I think you should start your life there as soon as possible because your viewers will appreciate it. Just don't forget to have patience with your RU-vid channel, because slowly but surely, you will attract many viewers. Our eyes are drawn to the beauty of nature🌲🌲 I visited Norway, specifically Narvik, and the views were breathtaking, just like yours. I don't like it when people leave comments on your videos or others videos saying, "I envy you." They shouldn't feel that way. Hi 😊 I don’t blame you at all I live some good distance from a city and have surrounding countryside which I access as often as I can!…..I was brought up on a remote farm in Lancashire on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales our family pennine farmers it has never left me I crave countryside a simple life! Nature is key so good for a persons mental health! But the earthiness is what makes me feel free and alive so you go for it you are on the right road the cabin is absolutely stunning 🤩 good luck on your journeys to fulfilment.

Brilliant video Thomas, I share your thoughts about living in that type of environment. I’ve spent as much of my life as possible doing exactly the same. I believe it’s where true contentment can be found when you connect with what is free. My motorbike takes me to similar locations as often as possible, taking me back to my childhood and family roots. Nature is great for the soul, dismissed by so many, preferring mountains of material things. How lucky are we! Well done 👌👌👏👏

Oh, Man you are killing me, everything you have done, is exactly what i would have done, if i had that magnificent cabin or any cabin in the nature if i could afford one. Open it up, turn the water on, feed the birds, put the fire on, chop wood, sit on the deck, enjoying nature and the break, do maintainence around the property, go fishing, make bread, make spoons! Dude!! I have a thousand things to do today, but i stopped and watched this well filmed vlog. I am envious my friend. Your job obviously dictates a lot of money in a Norwegian city, to afford these "simple things". I love it. New subscriber. I would like to see more at this cabin, and of course your motovlogs as well. My bmw 1200gs is chafing at the bit.

I can understand, I feel quite lucky to have such a place. I hope I can spend even more time here in the years to come. I really want to make a wind shelter or a place where people can drop by and sleep in the motorcycle season, but that will be a surprise for an upcoming project.

Hi Thomas! Just got this in front of me thanks to RU-vid. Having a couple sandwiches infront of the tv. I enjoyed the video very much, well made, nice photography, nice music, well put together. Im 44, grew up on a farm, im pretty familiar with getting firewood, fixing stuff etc. Now to my point. Everything costs money. That beautiful cabin by the fjord isnt cheap, common Bills isnt cheap, a car costs, food costs, you have to have a job where you can work from home lot of the time etc. I think very many would love to escape the city and the "musts" to do "whatever" (in your case beeing a better author, in my case it would be music) and enjoy nature and a calm pace..... Very few are as Lucky as you, enjoy it 👍 /Robert Sverige

I think we have grown into a must have generation instead of only need to have generation. We don't need a house, a cabin, two cars, x amount of motorcycles, diving equipment, tools to build what ever we need and the list could go on. If you look trough the houses of a normal person today. It is crowded with stuff that is never used. If we learn more to let go, slim down and only get what we actually need. Lower our expectations, everyone can be lucky and have more free time. I wonder each day if I'm in a little midlife crises. I feel like time is thrown away on stuff that is not giving anything back. I will be cutting down on stuff, sell most of my crap I don't need. But you should consider not to give away to much Informations about the location. Nowadays there are o lot of weird people out there. I would not be surprised if one day some of these cheerful happy 'Fans' knock on your door an expect an nice chat and getting a coffee. It was a little bit uncomfortable, but they understood after I made a little talk with them. I understand it in my core: Born and raised in the countryside, but having lived in cities in sizes from 60 000 to 600 000, now living in a city with around 110 000 people in it. I thoroughly love the size of a city when it gives it a certain pulse, energy and a vibe, and it has culture, restaurants and people in it to give it life, but I would go seriously mad if I couldn't go to the countryside or lakes or to the beach to just calm down and end enjoy life at a far slower pace. In my case, I think that variation is key, and if I had to choose between one or the other I would go for the countryside or lakes. Leaning more and more towards that with an increasing age. (Age I have plenty of...)
I do think you are on to something, if this was our daily lives, without know about the downsides of the big city it would probably not be so impactful. I guess I have learned to like more of the simple stuff by been forced into the city noise and all the stuff going on at work etc. You really need to learn what works best for you as a person and the stuff you enjoy doing. I would choose silence and nature any day. But I think it is good to have a little bit of both. There can't be light without darkness etc.

Haha, well. I will cast floor inside the tool shed so I can park my bike, or even a ATV in there. I have an own special place for my bike right outside the window so I can look at it every time I drink my coffee.
