I think your Dad is enjoying his Norwegian retirement more sa Pinas. Norway retirement fund is a known biggest sovereign wealth fund that came from oil. regarding sa food, yes, I also like(I mean love) all those prepared foods. Its been a long time na di ako naka-kaon nang version nang nilupak na sab-a nga saging. I've recently tried the Nilupak using cassava version.
I knew your dad wouldn't like the bagoong or balut. lol I think he would have enjoyed it if it was the sweet one. I didn't like them either when I was younger & because it was foreign, and I had a sensitive palette. But now I do enjoy it as an adult since our taste buds for different foods develops. Pinneskjott(crispy pork belly, lamp belly, beef belly) is basically lechon but the Norwegian version. Potatoes/bread I can attest is their main staple as rice is for us. I am glad that you guys will be visiting home after so many years, dress warm as you may experience cold during the night as summer there is very cool & comfortable. No AC in houses or cars if I am not mistaken, since it never get hot or humid as it does over here. The food will be very different, as I mentioned its going to be mostly potatoes/bread and different spreads(paalegg) in tubes or containers. I know they have a few Filipino restaurants in Oslo just incase you miss the food here. Also, I didn't see you eat the balut, you should let him try penoy instead of the balut since it will be just a bigger chicken egg. Great job by your mom for making all the delicious food and nice tattoos! Would you consider living and studying in Norway or would you rather study here? Hadet bra, vi snakkes!
@@fatimaAngProbinsyana The cold, does take some time to get used to and also the culture. They aren’t as approachable as we are. I like that in a sense that they mind their own business and don’t bother others which I have inherited as a Norwegian. Other than that I too would like to go back as an adult to experience it. Let me know when you wanna go.
