This is epic. I signed up for notion a while back but found creating useful templates on my own overwhelming. I will definitely be logging in again and using this job tracker. Thank you!
Hey, such a great content. Thank you for that. I am not able to access the template link though. Is there any other way I can get access to your template?
thanks for the video.... one point of confusion, how to we add new companies and contacts so that they link between the boards? I'm not able to link anything after duplicating the board. I'm new to Notion so might be missing a step
This is a very clear and understandable way of breaking down your job search information--thank you for sharing it! I have a question--have you used Notion to organize the information on your resume itself? The job search and contacts databases made my job search information so much more organized that now I want to do the same for my resume (especially as Notion has introduced "synced blocks" where you can update the information in one block and have it populate everywhere the block is synced). Thank you for the content!
Thank you for creating this video and sharing your template! The organization strategy upped my job search game so much better than using traditional spreadsheets. Linking the company pages to the contact pages helped me tremendously in keeping track of all the different conversations and roles that I had applied to. I also enjoyed looking at the data points of all my efforts after completing my job search to easily evaluate which job search approach worked best.
Genuine question as I'm a bit confused as you say you created this template, but this is the same template that's available via the notion template gallery that says it was created by someone else in 2019. Did you just customize the already made template?
Great Job putting this product together. I am stuck on how I can add my information as it keeps taking me back to the contact page for the HR POC, even thought I created my own copy. Any ideas on what am I doing wrong? Thank you.
So, let's say I want to apply to more than one job on Accenture, in that case, would there be multiple Accenture entries (pages) with different positions?
I have a notion account but haven't really used it. This should come in handy. What has been your experience with Notion vs Excel/Google sheet/Airtable? In terms of time, how long did it take you to fill all the details for your job applications on Notion?
I used to use Google Sheet for this, but I changed because I can actually store information about companies and contact inside, compared to Google Sheet! I have not tried Airtable but heard about it, it looks great, did you use it? And yes, I have some videos on Networking coming up soon! 😇
@@independentconsultant Airtable is great but I have not used it for my job search. I had access to interview questions in Airtable which looked great. You get a lot of space compared to Google docs/Excel. Besides that I have not used it that much. I know there is a learning curve for me when it comes to using Notion and Airtable. This has stopped me playing with both of these tools.
@@bitesized. true, it takes time to get accustomed to these tools. What helped me is starting small and simple, then once I am used to the tool, try more complicated things
@@independentconsultant Small and steady is the way to go. That is how got I started with my Excel training this year. I will be diving into these two tools once I get some quality free time on my hands.
Mahdi bro how to find the Right Companies ( Specific one ) when they are not on Linked in or any site at a time when we are in a New City trying to explore the Job market efficiently ? As some companies have very little to no visibility on social sites ..
Great question Mohib! My technique is usually go on Google and type "Industry + Company" I usually find tons of company I never heard of, then after some research I can determine if they will be great companies for my career or not!
