AWESOME, Cole! A really wonderful concert. I was completely spellbound watching this recording on RU-vid . . . but how I wish I could have been in that audience to fully luxuriate in the ambience of your live performance. Your incredible artistry and breathtaking virtuosity could easily persuade that you just showed up on the stage and played this exquisite programme without a care in the world, because that is the hallmark of a world-class musician - giving no indication to the audience of the countless hours of preparation and dedication that have been invested in the mesmerizing playing we have been blessed to just sit back and experience . . . without a care in the world. You really are an exceptional talent. If the concert hall wasn't full, it should have been; if this upload doesn't garner the mass viewings it deserves, it should; if global recognition or fame eludes you, that is a loss to the world! I couldn't pick a favourite from your programme as every piece for me was an expression of perfection (though the Mompou very nearly wears the crown - and I think you felt that, too!). As you played some gorgeous Schumann, you bring to mind some words by Robert: "To send light into the darkness of men's hearts - such is the duty of the artist." And your light just dazzles, Cole: B R A V O !
@grahamtwist I completely agree! I (almost 😉) love your weekly comments as much as I love Cole's piano playing 😃, as I experience similar appreciation. Hopefully one day we will be lucky to hear Cole playing the piano live in Europe🤞🎹 The Film music and Schumann are my favorites, as well as the encore, Oh man, he's good!
@@grahamtwist Absolutely true, Cole is by far the best! 'Good' was just a nod to the title. All interpretations of the independent pianist are scenic, natural, profound, sincere, real and sensitive... including this live (stream) concert! Those 'paisajes' are truly breathtaking. I have no other words. Thank you for always sharing your appreciation and insights, which I find not only recognizable, but also very educational and entertaining👍
Wonderful job, Cole, congratulations! It was just like the first time I saw your performance on RU-vid playing Gershwin/Wild arrangements: brilliant, masterful, tasteful, mesmerizing!
Great choice of works! I always love the approach of presenting lesser known pieces - really enjoyed this little journey. So thank you very much for sharing this concert, it is greatly appreciated. edit: I don't like being pedantic, but "Klavierbüch" is a mix of the plural "Klavierbücher" and singular "Klavierbuch". German inflections - anguish of many :)
What is the umlaut doing in the word "Klavierbuch"? It has no business being there. It's either "Klavierbuch" or "Klavierbüchlein" (diminuitive) or "Klavierbücher" (plural) but never "Klavierbüch".
