My Mom had a 1976 model 4 door. I still remember the pillow upholstery and smooth ride. Her’s got 17 mpg and went 100,000 miles before she traded it with just tires, batteries and oil changes. I think they downsized the bodies in 1977. My Grandmother had one that I inherited same year model with 36,000 miles but I had to sell it because I didn’t have a decent place to store it and it deserved a better owner. Beautiful automobile.
Dad's last two restorations, we're keeping. Olds 98 big block 1970 convertible and hardtop. the hardtop seems to have a very high compression engine, but the build sheet is skant, shows little real info. Fun to drive, tight: dad was a carberator man and could SQUEEZE all kinds of things out of that carb. 8 track, all Anne Murray, all the time. We added passenger spot mirrors!!!
Olds 98's are one of the best examples of the Real America. Big, solis, fast, safe and tank like reliability and durability. My family was a Hudson family and when they ceased we became an olds 98 family. Amazing cars. We always ordered them will all the export severe duty options. HD brakes, cooling, suspension etc. We would use the cars to 100 K miles or more. Great, wonderful vehicles always. Curses on the cabal of unelected policy making NGO's, government agencies, academics and the press who reduced the once great American automotive industry to what it is now.
Just rode in one for first time it’s menacingly huge and comfortable at the same time. The only running one in my entire country, except it had a engine swap with a 1JZ from a toyota crown.
That is real job car , ride nice look nice , with a 455 CID , you need pay for gas , but not maintenance , I can tell that's a 1975 98 , ours is 1976 was sold without my permeation , oh I'm in love with that tank , can't help it . Please keep it fresh , I like it but I'm into 76 98 . GL
thank you, yes it is a 75, I too like the 76-80 98's i will do my best to keep my olds clean and running tip top shape, i have to get the tranny rebuilt and the rear suspention redone, airshocks are leakin......thanks for watching
Beautiful car, would love to own one someday, but I’m currently in possession on a 71 olds cutlass S trim 350, brown with a white vinyl top, I got her from my grandfather.. take a look on my channel if your curious
lol I bet..it would take me a while to find the right set..because I wouldn't be putting them on to say I have big wheels haha would want it to look as clean as possible :)
I just got a 76 4 Door Regency.I want to put in the Flowmaster 40 like you, but how does it sound in the interior? I dont want to shout to my passengers.
Nice looking car man..very clean. Not my style. but I can appreciate because I'm a car guy I like everything with a motor and wheels..well and some without haha. I know your going for the fully original look but that think would look sooo tuff with the RIGHT set of 20's tucked not sitting up like the homies..she even sounds mean too
@@TheLTD_ really solid cars my grandmother bought one new in 76 orange with the white top and white pillow top leather interior unfortunately she stopped driving in the late 80s and it sat ever since the frame was completed rotted to un driveable condition unfortunately had to scrap it big regrets😢
Ah, cool. I had a 40 Series, a glasspack, and a Thrush Weld on Olds 307 (all at different times). I thought the muffler tone sounded a little familiar but was quite sure on which muffler.
Jeff Hill I went looked at it today Jeff but no one showed up it's one of those fly-by-night dealerships that we have here and there was one other car in the parking lot that was it I waited for the guy
