I’ve opened one Topps Hobby box pulled 2 Franco base cards and open a Jumbo Box pull 1 Franco base then 1 1987 Insert Franco. Overall I like the look of them.

Ole Miss guy here. In 2020 the Rebs were rolling and looked like a CWS team and then Covid killed the season. They dominated. However, they lost one game in a tight matchup. Who pitched, Reid Detmers. I took notice and have followed him since. Agree wholeheartedly he’s a good investment.

The hobby boxes are going up here for $160 CAD so I’ve gone with hangers so far and in 8 of them I have pulled 1 Wander base, several of his retail exclusive Stars of MLB insert foils including the Chrome one, 3 Duran, 2 Brujan + the gold parallel, and all the base cards that you showed in your top 10 picks. I think hangers are bangers. If the hobby boxes drop in price, I’ll grab one to get a shot at the auto and see what I get in the silver pack. Take care! 👊⚾️

Thanks for the tips Joe! My daughter and I lucked out on our 1 box. Our box gave us: 1 Rainbow Foil Wander, 1 base Wander, 1 of each rookie, no golds, our silver pack yielded a gold Mikey Yaz auto /25...no complaints here!!

I have the entire complete set of the 1981 topps. And non are scratched or bent. I’m any form. What do I do with them. I read the Pete rose. Goes for a lot.

Should put the cards immediately into penny sleeves so you can go through them like this as if they’re a deck of cards without scratching the surfaces. IMO always appreciate the content…🙏

Getting 1 gold card in 2 hobby boxes sounds very bad news for value. I'll still get retail when it's plentiful.

Out of all 2022 series 1 I’ve bought it’s the hangers I think has the best cards. I to had a hell of a time pulling the Franco base but once I hit one I was gonna stop then the very next and last two hangers I hit Wander base in both. Total 3 Franco base 4 Franco stars insert Willy Mays sp 4 golds best one is Scherzer Kimberl green foil one of those 6-4 Red Sox cards /75 numerous Marsh and Durans 87 Duran rc and other 87s Tatis Guerrero jr Judge and almost complete set of Stars of MLB I think I’m missing 2 cards from that set. Also have multiple chrome stars. Shoot my little brother bought a pack of heritage and hit a Wander rc error that cards going for well over $1000. Have no clue how but he always hits big cards and buys way less than I do. I lve hit some big hitter cards but I’ve also spent a shit load of cash. My bro got a horseshoe in his ass I say. I started collecting again in 2018 so I’ve pulled some nasty cards of Othani Acuna jr 2019 Tatis Guerrero Jr Alonso Jimenez 2020 Roberts I also buy cards from Walmart so I’ve hit some nice yellows. Cool content brother keep it coming!!!

I got really stoked, but couldn’t find any info on the card doing internet research. Do you have any suggestions ? Or should I just wait for more people to open and post about it?

im always confused about the wording that Topps uses on their relic cards...on the front they all say "Game Used Material" but then on the back they have the phrase you pointed out "Not from any particular game/event/season"...does that mean they arent game worn or does that mean they just cant guarantee a specific match to the game it was from?

Joe I’m a big fan of this channel man and I never really comment cause I’m usually watching or just listening while working or driving, but I had to for this one cause your silver pack experience gave me ptsd with mine. My LCS guy I’ve forged a tight bond with over the years will sell single packs out of hobby and jumbo boxes while they have enough in stock. He always takes out the silver packs and puts them aside for me to give me first crack at them when I swing by before he sells them to someone else. Always a fan of those cards. This years are just gorgeous cards. Im 39 so the ‘87 design is my first memory of collecting. So I’ve bough about 9-10 silver packs from this years release. The last one I opened I noticed with a slight fan out of the cards that I had a teal in the back. They are either /150 or /199 I can’t remember. I go for the slow reveal and see the Rays logo. BUBBLE GUTS immediately 😂. I keep sliding the card down and see that it’s darker skin toned Latino player and now my mind is paying bills with Wander money. It’s Randy Arozarena. Who I like. But not that much. So I felt that story in my soul. I have had zero luck with this product so far until two days ago. Bought two hangers from Walgreens and hit the Ken Griffey Jr SP blowing a bubble with his gum and then I hit a Carlos Rodon sticker auto gold /50. It sucks he isn’t in his Giants uni or I may have been able to move it for a good chunk of change. Anyway have a good weekend dude and I’ll try to comment more. I find myself agreeing with a lot of things you have to say on here. Keep up the good work dude.

Awesome…definitely junk base wax…for sure…you only open a pack to see what inserts you get…I think base inserts of rookies are going to be much more valuable than the base rookie over time…pops will be lower…
