Not nasty. While he said that he doesn’t care what we say, it’s frustration with a guy we all like who had a career and now has not much of anything. You don’t leave what you’re doing, even if you aren’t happy, until you have something definite waiting. You don’t sell off the tools of your profession until you’re successfully embedded in your new one and so you know you’ll never need them. Every week and sometimes more than once a week, he’s thinking about doing something else. It’s like having a child who has no direction.
