I really appreciate someone making videos like this who doesn't have a super huge following because your advice is a lot more realistic to take than someone who is already at hundreds of thousands to millions of followers. we get to watch you grow and actually see what's truly working for you instead of listen to your come up story once you've already got to a huge following. this stuff is really good and for the first time i feel like I've found some advice that's relative to my social platforms. you're doing good girl I've been watching you for awhile and I can see steady progress.
I completely agree with posting on stories being almost if not more important that grid posts- when I'm on Instagram after a long day, it's easier to just tap or let stories automatically play through. I get views from people that almost never see my grid posts sometimes. The swipe up feature is also a game changer (even thought I am nowhere near getting that feature yet lol) because it makes it easier for followers as well. I swipe up ALL the time when someone links something because if we're being honest, we forget about a link or something quickly if it's not easily accessible to us on our phones. Unless it's something super amazing that I want to check out right now, I usually make a mental note and then forget later lol. Thank you so much for these videos, they're helping a lot as I work on my own social media and personal branding and as I study in my marketing career!
i just love your genuine interest for other to benefit from your instincts. thank you am learning everyday and am growing gradually. soon i will unleash all i have learned from you.
Love this! Content pillars allow you to create higher quality content easier. You stop playing the guessing game about what to post and simplify the process!
People like it ( the photos) because you are beautiful and the outside just enhances the beauty ( in the photos). Additionally, yes you are correct - people do like to see people doing everyday life things and in your environment.
This was very helpful! I just found you literally yesterday and I’ve watched quite a few of your videos already. I learned some knew things about Instagram from you that will help me greatly! Thank you!!
Really enjoyed your talks, listened to two today (first time) and I will be subscribing. Thanks for the downloads and links to other resources. You role model what to do as you are doing it and that is so helpful!
The best way that I developed content is by thinking really carefully about my target or dream follower - everything from age, gender, location, passions and salary - created a follower profile, pointed out their pain points, and then just said, "If I felt like this, what would I want to know or hear?" Got heaps of ideas right there :) Remember, you want to attract people to you, not the other way around, so yes of course post what you like, but ensure it's valuable to your target audience as well.
Latasha, I am a new real estate agent in Florida and have just started watching your videos. In love. Is there any advice you could give for trying to find people in more of a specific location
I am a new startup - plus a one woman company of a certain age! Do you do a course to teach me all of your social media ideas? I am not a complete beginner with over 36 years in the IT industry, but I’m on my own in this ! I love your RU-vid videos, thanks very much! X
Hi Caron! If you're looking for a DIY solution, this course gives a good overview of all of the social media platforms: offers.internationalopenacademy.com/LatashaJames/course/social-media-manager-course And if you want something more personalized, I also work with business owners one-on-one for customized marketing mentoring. Here's the link for that: latashajames.com/coaching
Seeing the Wix Instagram linked gets me everytimeeeee when I see it on someone’s site. And yes this video of yours has been on my ever-growing watch list for over a year now…but I got to it! 🤣
Thanks for always sharing valuable infor!!!! I am also tryna get to 10k for the swipe up honestly. I used to DM ppl when I follow and they woupd follow back and I stopped. I will try it again
Hey Latasha! New subscriber here! Super love your content! It's very helpful since I am just a newbie in the world of freelancing as a social media manager. I was wondering if how can I gain access to my client's ig without knowing the password, like through Fb pages? Everytime i try to cross post from fb to ig it keeps on asking for the password. Thanks so much!
Hi Karla, I hope you don't mind I hop on to answer your question. I use last pass it's a program, online that Latasha mentioned in other videos I've watched and I have my client just make the account explain to them it's a safe way for them to give me access to their accounts without me knowing their passwords. You make one, download it on your computer & phone and you'll be able to log in throughout platforms. I hope this helps.
@@thelatashajames Wow!🤦🏾♂️...I had no idea that they had this much detail within the app. I was wondering why managing sites like Hootsuite and Later changed their format and free capabilities after the IG/FB merger. Other than paid ads is it possible to view/analyze IG metrics in FB?
