Welcome to a new video everyone! I will be going over my DVD shelf and showing you what tiles I have that are out of print or discontinued. I think OOP and discontinued are the same thing??? If not, oh well. You get the point. If not, you're in the wrong place. This video is made for the ones who love to collect movies. LIKE ME!
Pleas keep in mind that if you have any out of print DVD's, it's not worth hundreds of dollars. Some people think that OOP automatically makes it valuable. Depending on what it is, it could be. But it's rare.

Hanging on to Dvd's is wise. I watch movies projected, and most Dvd's still look great, even on a big screen. And why do some people hate snap-cases!? Always loved them myself. Have tonnes of them now

I still have my DVD collection of 468 titles. DVD will always hold a special place in my heart! I remember my first experience with the format and to this day has not been duplicated! Long live DVD!

Thanks. My favorite movie of all time. I just got a custom cork mat for my record player and it's the Dazed and Confused logo with the stoned smiley face.

Out of Print means they don't make it in ANY format. Otherwise EVERY VHS, BETAMAX, DVD, HDDVD, 8 track, Cassette, CD IS OOP

I have that Creepshow 2 DVD, not bad for an early DVD transfer of that film and it's anamorphic. I have the Arrow LE blu which is going for a lot of money now.

I have a bunch of Echo Bridge crap from Kmart and Walmart bins, even some blu rays. Their DVDs could be very crappy or decent sometimes, it was always a gamble to buy their stuff.

Hey buddy, I didn´t realise there were so many dvds that are out of print. I have 3 snap cases, don´t like them at all, I suppose they are OOP. Great video, and a really original idea for a video, thanks for sharing, have a great evening.

DVDs are only valuable if it is the only format that movie is available in. So if it's not available for streaming, people will look for it on Blu Ray. If it's not on blu ray, they'll look for it on DVD. If it's on DVD - it has value. If it's not on DVD I guarantee it's on VHS and thats what I collect and sell. Always check facebook sales before making a purchase if you plan to resell it.

I was discussing that with a friend and we were wondering how many VHS movies have still not been transfered to DVD? It's easy to name movies not on Blu-ray, but I bet there were so many movies from the 80's-90's that never made it to DVD.

Along with the ones your showing creepshow 1,2,And 3 $20.00 free shipping the locker . $5.00 free shipping Hate to say All the movies your saying are discounted are on eBay. so they may be discontinued to some and some places not everywhere and if a person wants a out dated or long ago movie ect. Check out amazon or eBay . If you don’t see it Amazon and iTunes are also a look at . However these are eBay.

People on eBay will sell some copied that are hard to find and they don't even know it. That's why it's best to keep up on that webpage because it'll let you know what titles are discontinued. As far as the Creepshow ones, they could be different releases with a new production company or new features on it. Be sure to check your collection. Thanks for watching!!!

Surround Sound Freak 13 Thank you for your feedback I have been doing eBay since I was 18 I am 37 years old. I am also a seller mine were still sealed in packing they have never been opened or used . And they sell all different things they label what they sell Yes agree people are bootlegging and coping things but the owner of eBay and all companies require that they sell no bootlegs or copies .

I never sold anything on eBay, but I may give it a try in the future. I'm not a hoarder, but I like the items I have and don't want to part ways with them. I hope your items sell like hot cakes.

By 2003, Warner Home Video discontinued DVD snap cases in favor of DVD keep cases.

I got that Blair Witch 2 DVD/CD edition factory sealed just recently for like 6 bucks on Amazon. Still no blu ray of that one which kinda irritates me, I don't think it's that bad. If Exorcist 2 can get a CE from Scream Factory so can Blair Witch 2.

I used to collect films on different formats, But over the last few years ive selling them all off and only keeping the ones i like and would watch multiple times, Ive come to the point now were i dont want to just accumulate a shit load of blu rays and dvds regardless of if i like them or not, Its like saving money whats the point if you don't need too, Buy what you like when you like and spend your money, We ain't here forever and when we go you just end up leaving all this crap behind 👍🏻

I had to pay 50 bucks for that AB Phantasm 3 DVD back before the blu ray even existed but I don't regret having it since it is so rare now. I also have the 1999 MGM SE of Phantasm 1 in all it's non anamorphic glory lol. I just bought Highlander 3 1998 widescreen DVD yesterday factory sealed for 6 bucks, I wanted to get it because it's a slightly different version than the current DVD.

The snap cases are called loc-tites. The reason phantoms 2 is still available is because it has sam Phillips penthouse centerfold who caused a sex scandal back in the day trying to block the video release of the movie among other things but I think she's dead so I guess they can get by with it.

I have some seasons of Kenny Vs Spenny on dvd from back in the day which at one time were worth a lot, but I just rechecked and not so much now, but I’d never sell anyway 🤪

It's always a gamble with collecting movies for resell value. At least you have the original DVD.

True. I don't know why? You'd think due to popularity that they'd make a lot more box sets and other physical copies so they're not as rare for people who want them.

I guess they didn't after all. I was given the news their company went out of business and that was not true. But, a lot of their releases are still hard to find.

Surround Sound Freak 13 I have some of the Friday the 13th deluxe edition’s. I have parr’s 3, 5, 6, & 7 my favourite Friday the 13th movies. I also have Dolly dearest which I know isn’t great & is kind of a Chucky rip off but I still like it. I also have Dolls which just went out of print from Scream factory last year. That’s one of my favourite killer doll movies so I’m so glad I have it! Also the Blu-Ray of Scream 4 is out of print. You can still get it on DVD but the site said that the Blu-Ray is out of print. & I do have the Blu-Ray

Tbh what does out of print mean well just tell me if it's a original cd or DVD? 😊 For example is this an authentic cd "rare hard to find & out of print , cds"?

It means it's no longer in production and they no longer produce copies for the customer to buy. Some of those DVD's have never made it to Blu-Ray which makes it harder to find. I hope that helps😁

I already mentioned that. It don't mean it's worth anything. Only times it does is when they don't print anymore or convert to Blu-Ray or even come out with any other editions. One out of many quick examples on DVD is The Beverly Hillbillies. It's out of print and not available on Blu-Ray. Or a Blu-Ray example is My Bloody Valentine Special Edition. No other editions and it's hard to find under $100.

@@surroundsoundfreak13 I have a snapper case of Lawnmower Man from the old Platinum Series New Line put out back in the day. I think I ordered it new off of Amazon but it was long OOP, I guess they still have a few new copies of OOP DVDs in their warehouse.

How have you ordered that collection? Alphabetical is easy. Parts of yours looks alphabetical. Parts don't.

@@surroundsoundfreak13 movies that ive been waiting patiently for a blu ray release....Breakdown 1997 starring kurt russell and dead presidents 1995 which actually has an unrated version that has never seen the light of day. what about movies that never got even a dvd release like the jerky boys movie....i cant believe that movie was never released on dvd!

@@Espo2250 I have bad luck on that. When I buy it on bootleg or DVD, they finally release it. I had to get a Korean Searching for Bobby Fischer on DVD, then they were back into print a week later.

Surround Sound Freak 13 haha I know me too. That’s like the pretentious way to alphabetize a collection. There used to be a small movie rental store in my neighborhood that had all of their movies displayed by director. Very pretentious movie buffs worked there.
