I never watch a movie about an animal before I have assured myself it has a happy ending for the animal. I watch films for my fun, not to get a year long depression.
Can’t wait to see the movie! I followed the real penguin/man friendship story when it was just a small RU-vid video. Such a moving story. We need good vibe entertainment in these trying times. And Mr. Reno is the perfect choice. 🇨🇦🖖🏻🇨🇦
Jean Reno is such an underrated actor. He brings such warmth and humanity as well as a little humour to his roles. I am glad to see him in another movie.
I'm sure this is a beautiful movie with a message to carry on. However, the trailer brings forth a certain sadness in me. I love Jean Reno and seeing him as an elderly man reminds me of how fragile life really is and how quickly time passes. I'm older than I care to admit to myself. I'm sorry for this nonsensical commentary. Just sharing my thoughts.
Ok, yep. I'm tearin up haha. I remember the real life story. But I think its me, I'm a Jean Reno fan and...yeah, I dunno, I think i'm gonna need tissues for this one.
Movie opened today. We went to see it, and, wow, I absolutely loved it. I love penguins (they mate for life) and happily we saw many. This movie brings laughter and tears.....but the ending leaves you with hope. Go and enjoy this beautiful film. You won't be disappointed. Going to see it again.....🙂
It's a wonderfull truly history happened in Provetá village, in Ilha Grande, Rio de Janeiro shore. Spectacular idea make a film, with the excelent Jean Reno, in the real scenarios, about a history that still happen every year to these day.
The actor and story strongly reminds me of a RU-vid channel called A Chick Called Albert. He rescues all sorts of birds, wild and domestic, and is so wonderful and gentle with them.
Was at the movie theater today and saw the preview of this movie opening date mid August 2024. If you are a penguin lover (and I am) this is going to be a warm, sometimes tear-jerker. It is a must see for me! 🐧
betwen this and the movie IF. we need more family friendly films. those days of Disney and nickelodeon making family movies are over thanks to superhero films.
This trailer was great, thank you for showing me the entire movie in under 3 minutes. I feel as if I have completely seen the movie with nothing left unsaid or unshown.
This is a famous and true story that happened in Brazil besides it is spoken in English. I think the part of the university taking the penguin to study was created for the film like ET...lol. It is a very interesting story but I don't think that there is enough material for a feature film. It is just that, the Penguin comes to see the fisherman for some months and leaves every year because he saved him. That is it.
Saiu o trailer!!!!!!! Finalmente! Rs Estava esperando sair o filme dessa linda história que rolou aqui no Rio de Janeiro em Ilha Grande - Brasil. Agora tem que fazer do Jesse Koz e seu fiel cãozinho Shurastery.
We must ask God to give us the heart of a penguin because human beings live in a minute and do not visit each other. This penguin traveled from far away, facing danger, to visit his friend. What is happening?
I’m 55 and this looks SO GOOD !! … can’t wait for August !! … LOVE JEAN RENO !! … so good for so many years !! … I’ve been looking … how do you find the real story it’s based on ??
Essa história aconteceu aqui na Ilha Grande, Rio de Janeiro Brasil; e o pinguim se chama Dindin mesmo... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_OEl7YAUvKI.html
This story happened in Brazil. A brazilian older gentleman saved a penguin and every year jinjing (The Penguin) visits the man who saved him. I hope the movie maker paid the real man who saved the penguin. It's on youtube.
BIEN!
So they left out the part where the penguin gets kidnapped and Jean Reno goes on a killing spree to rescue it, right? What kind of Jean Reno movie is this anyway?
