Seeing how your approach recovery and decision points is so useful. I had calf ping on me as I was starting a new heavy weight and wasn't sure how to deal with it besides just rest. Thankfully a week was all that was needed, but seeing this explained gives me a very different idea for next time. Thank you!

Calves, bane of my life. Did mine skipping. Once it’s better, do calf raises standing & seated (put a heavy kb on your knee) to build up strength. Def helps, just boring to do!

Your philosophy on working through injury - drop weight, but keep moving seems very logical. I was told by a former coach, just take a day or two off then get back with the program which resulted in just pushing the inevitable injury a week or two later. Dropped that coach and found this channel not long after. If you drop the weight, but keep working out you will get stronger than if you keep getting injured. Thank you for all your great content :)

Happy new year! 👍 Very interesting approach to training. Are you doing any running/rucking in your training? Body weight? As someone who has to do both for work, I'd be fascinated to hear your thoughts on how to integrate kettbell training into this.

Hello Mark, I've been a fan for a while and I'm excited that you've finally launched your own programs. I'm looking to sign up for a program to achieve the following goals: i) Build muscle and strength (legs, back) ii) Increase bodyweight from 68kgs to 75kgs. Before signing up I had a few questions: i) Keeping in mind my goals which program/bundle would you recommend? ii) Will access to the content expire after 6 weeks? iii) Is it a one-time payment or recurring payment for the programs? Thanks, AD

What you do when encountering a training injury is very helpful to know. I'm doing the Mill/Squat 2H club program and the muscles at the base of my right thumb have started hurting - like it's sprained or something. I assume it is from a grip technique problem. Back down the weight and re-train the technique was my plan and this video seems to confirm that plan.

Mark, just a thought, if you wanted to go lighter with you Adjustable Kettlebells you could just take the bottom half off. Then add weights until you got back up to 12kg. Would look ugly but you’d lose the weight.

Hi Mark! Really helpful video! Right now, my knee is hurt and I can only workout seated or lied down. What exercises do you recommend for maintaining some condition? I'm doing KB seated and floor press and club shield cast. Thanks!!

Mark awesome I recently just got into kettle bell training. I started with light mace training and club training from your channel I only did it for a month. The last 7 months I've been training with just sword and sword style workouts. I welded up a 17.5 pound loadable sword that's 6 feet. I try for 1000 strikes a day dragging a 50 pound sled. My goal is 100 pound sled drags a 70 pound vest one 15 pound ankle weight on each ankle while performing 1000 strikes. I came up with about 20 different workout moves. You can pick up a great sword that weighs 7 to 8 pounds its a perfect start. Check out the workouts on my chanel. Keep em comming would love to see you performing sword strike workout I came up with.

Question on the non linear progression aspect. I am doing the Overwieght program and having issues with my grip on one hand causing skin issues in that hand, think skin breakdown and almost to the point of blisters. I have been going through the program fast for the clubs at this point. Should I slow down and do the same number of sets for each time I work out for a whole week or go back to a lower weight and add way more sets?
@virginiacrofford5107
@virginiacrofford5107 2 года назад
@@hazelmaines2040 I started using the same weight reps and sets for all 3 club sessions this week and it seems to have helped. I am only at 7.2lbs on the club so not terribly heavy.

1. Is the mill squat program published yet? 2. Why squats, a heave, when the OALC is also heave intense? Wouldn't a forward/ reverse lunge series make more sense, to add a surge with the heave, since surge is lacking in the Kettlebell movements? (realizing you might be avoiding due to prior knee injuries) 3. Mill makes perfect sense. 4. Is there a sway somewhere in the mill/ squat program? 5. What do you think of swipe from the rear position to order, to compensate/balance, since that reverses the direction of resistance of the snatch movement?

I’m sticking with squats because snatch and long cycle are all hip hinge. Lunges are covered in the warm ups of all the training days, away is covered in my warmup as well
@MarkWildman

The swipe is too much like the snatch for me. I don’t like the swipe much. And outside swipe I do really like.

Question: I am aiming for the SSST, I have 20, 24 & 28 kg KBs. I completed 200 in 10 min with the 20 and currently can do 8 a minute for under 10 minutes with the 24, progress is slow. Should I train a light day with the 20kg building up to 20 minutes or a much lower volume 28 kg heavy day?

I beg your pardon coach Wildman, here 21 snatch per minute means 42 (21 left / 21 right) or it's intended to work one side per minute?
@MarkWildman

I meant 21 reps per min, if I meant hand change I would have written 10/11. Where is here.

I just purchased the Clean & Press program and noticed some errors in the data entry tables. Can you please look into these and fix them? Page 73 of the KG PDF, if you look at Row 8 onwards, none of the math works out correctly. Example 4/4 - 3/3 -2/2 -1/1 scheme says 12 REPS PER SET on Line 9 but it should be 20 Reps per set.
