Ye that's true cause Dolphins are mammals just they need to be in the water because their bodies can't survive on land but they jump up and out of the water since they have lungs and DOLPHINS ARE NOT FISH BECAUSE THEY DO NOT HAVE GILLS
The reason your dolphin died is because dolphins hold there breathe under water for a certain amount of time so dolphins need air to breathe that's why they jump out of the water to breathe

@@alden8231 its Magma Block, but it only works on Players bc they can Shift to not take damage, if it is soul sand, they wont get the air in the bubbles as it will push the mob upwards
Btw Jelly Slogo just got a random dolphin and named it "Skippy" so the Skippy that died wasn't tamed anyways and the original Skippy is still out there.

Tip:if you want to keep your pet dolphins its because dolphins are known to be the dumbest mob in Minecraft they need air and water to survive but if you keep your dolphin to an aquarium and come back later you see your dolphin is gone that's because when your far away from dolphin it will just not move and can cause drowning to keep them alive you need soul sand (the bottom of your aquarium to make air) then put an roof because there is air and water for the dolphins entertainment hope this helps!

Drowned was released in the new water update (I forgot the update name) with ships and a the tridents can be found by fronds they have chances to drop or holding the trident

I agree but I also think that skippy did not have enough space to be happy in his enclosure and that if you were to recreate what Jelly did with the enclosure and all that you would go to jail for animal abuse
