I have had nothing but issues with Pagani watches. I ordered the NH34 GMT and it arrived with a misaligned GMT hand. I returned it and the replacement had the same issue. I ordered a Pagani chronometer with a VK63 movement and it also had a misaligned chrono hand. Additionally the edges of all 3 watches were incredibly sharp especially the bracelets. These 3 watches were awful and I would warn everyone to avoid Pagani watches at all cost.
Thanks Mitchell, any watch from Ali is hit and miss, I haven’t had the bad luck you have had with pagani and understand why you wouldn’t recommend em. I’d be in the same boat if that happened to me, but it hasn’t
@@mrmdpgh on some, the Rolex style clasp does have some sharp edges yes, but nothing that comes into direct contact with the wrist it’s worn on. Some have sharp corner at the bottom of the case at the lugs, but not that have contact with the skin to cause a problem, but yes they do come some of them with some sharp spots here and there
Man, that's rough luck. I haven't had many issues with my Paganis at all other than the bands being pretty cheap and the Lume being bad. None of those are deal breakers for me, though.
Hi Chris, I just discovered your channel, nice reviews/suggestions, almost all were new to me. What I feel is currently missing from my collection is a nice looking GMT. I have been looking at Pagani Design & San Martin - perhaps these are what will sway me in the sale. I'm looking at Black/Green or Black/Blue on the bezel as day/night colours. I have just ordered the Pagani Design 1701 (Speedmaster homage). I've not been an avid AliExpress buyer until now, but the number of "what I would choose if it's discounted in the sale?" videos by RU-vid watch lovers (horologophiles?) has piqued my interest! By the way, living in Switzerland I have to be careful to choose clearly branded homages over imitations (fakes) because fakes will be confiscated by customs and destroyed. Yeah aliexpress has lots of nice homage watches which are legal, fakes would be any that actually place the product name on the watch (Rolex, Omega etc) the speedy homage by pagani is pretty great nice Seiko vk63 movement in it. And I can totally understand that, I find it quite distinctive from other AliEx fliegers. Very nice to see you mostly highlight watches you've had hands on experience with.
I have the white dial Addies Dive watch. It’s actually a Captain Willard homage and it’s a solid piece. I got it during the last Sale for under US$100. The bracelet is so-so but it looks so good on so many straps.
Oh ok, didn’t look like the Willard homage I’ve seen my mistake. I’ve heard legibility could be improved because of the colour of the handset what’s your take on that? Def a solid looking watch I look forward to grabbing it at some point
@@MirrlyonTime Yeah. Legibility is pretty good but could be better. I think with black hands. But that dial! 🔥 They also make a dress watch with the same dial in both white and Tiffany blue.
I've got the AddiesDive pilot watch and can recommend it. I got the black dial, sterile, metal bracelet version. I wanted simple simple simple and the sterile version is absolutely without any writing or logo even on the case back. (Why would I want the word "Dive" on a pilot's watch?) Buying this again however I would get a strap rather than a bracelet because the end links of the bracelet don't exactly follow the curve of the lugs. So now I wear it in straps (NATO or two piece depending on my mood).
Great point about the word dive in a pilot! And I also have the green one on bracelet so if I wanted to I could swap it out, although I’m likely giving the green one away. It is a fantastic watch, now I’m thinking I should have got the sterile dial haha.
I have the yellow Benyar and I like it a lot. The movement isn't as good as the NH35 and the rotor feels louder (maybe a QC issue with mine) but It looks great on the wrist. I get compliments on it a lot and the price is great!
Also, if anyone is curious about the Specht and Sohne, they're pretty well made. I have their Monaco homage and I love it. The subdials aren't like the original but the overall look is spot on 👍🏻
Thanks Juan! I got the speedy homage of theirs, the earth moon and mars version. The subdials are a little "cheesy" but otherwise it was good for the price for sure. The bracelet was the weakest part of it other than the subdials, I still have to give a review of it. I have too many on the docket to review
That 2023 Pagani PD1762 looks fantastic. Such an improvement on the Explorer II. The PD is superior in my view due to 42mm shrunk to 40mm (much more wearable), and the female end links vs Rolex inferior male end links. Male end links are OK on 36-39mm watches, but once you get to 40mm and above, they really need to be female IMHO. Pagani and San Martin are my favorite brands on AliExpress.
Yeah I have one of the older versions of the 1762 and it is 42mm, wears great but I do have a 7.5-7.75 inch wrist. I prefer PD over San martin because of the huge gap in price. SM make great watches but I don’t find their quality hundreds of dollars in better value than a pagani. Thanks for watching m8!
Well I would have to buy one….and at the moment I’m making a big purchase in near future so won’t be getting one but it does look pretty awesome! Only thing I don’t like is the subdial is a 24 hour if I’m not mistaken
