I’m 18 and I’ve been in ballet when I was 4 but I wanna do it again!! It looks so sophisticated and classy and I feel like my long skinny legs will finally look great when doing something
I just got a new pair of pointe shoes yesterday. I got the Bloch Heritage medium shank size 8x. They work really well for my feet. I'm still breaking them in so it's kinda hard to get all the way win the platform. But that'll get better once their broken in better. My last pair of points shoes was a Bloch Heritage Strong shank size 7 & a half X and those worked really well for my feet. But then I got tendon idose and I decided to go back down to a medium shank because I wasn't getting all the way on my box anymore because my tendons hurt and I didn't want to cause permanent ingeries. But now my shoes work great for my feet. I only have one problem with points and that's my feet are so flexible that I fall to far over the box even when their not dead like after a week of using them and that's only like 12 hours of points in a week so once their broken in I can get on the box easy and it's nice. But u fall forwards look asked my teacher if that Kent they were dead. She said no they have lots of life in them your feet are just flexible so it'll be a bit harder not to go to far over the box and to be careful. Anyways I live points. Minute the blisters and pain lol. Anyways I'll shut up now
Hi! I'm currently wearing Bloch European Balance (XXX) and they fit pretty well, but they still seem a bit narrow for me. Problem is, I have duck-like feet, with no arch, a very high instep and extremely wide! (Sometimes I have to buy two sizes up in street shoes!!). Which shoe would you say has a wider platform/box? The European Balance or the B-Morph? Thanks!! And thanks as well for your videos!
I was fitted with those shoes as my first pair and the lady didn't even take into consideration my tapered toes. I sickled so bad with them, I was pretty mad. But they look pretty on other people
I haven’t started pointe yet, but I DID take pre-pointe classes over the summer with the most advanced teacher at my studio! I’m really excited to see if I can start real pointe in the next few years!
As a pointe shoe fitter, the aria is probably the best for you. You may want to try the mirella whisper. I think you'd enjoy it. Also, a so danca would be fabulous.
They are so beautiful! I love these shoes. And I love ballet. Seriously when I dance ballet I feel so beauty and free. I never thought before I will say something like that but yes ballet is amazing. I love ballet. I love ballet shoes. My 3 favorite shoes after high heels and boots.
Angelica Rufus to strengthen my feet again, i do all 6 positions 20 times releve... works pretty quick if you do that every day for a week (also it burns like hell on my calves)
Ahhhh-I wish I still did Ballet, I would have loved to go on pointe shoes, hah. I started my classes at the age of 4 but stopped doing them at 6 (as I was getting a little bored). I’m hopefully going to start classes again _soon_ but it will probably be hard for me as I am way older now! ^^; All the pointe shoes look amazing on you, by the way. :)
Just follow your dream. I started a year ago, because it was a long time dream for me as well. Now I've been dancing on pointe for a few months (I'm 16 btw)
That's interesting what you said about the European balances. I have a low arch, narrow feet and long toes but I didn't have a good experience with them. Right now I'm a Grishko girl 😁
It is so crazy how different the fits can be on similar feet! I love the look of Grishkos - I haven't been lucky enough to find a good-fitting pair for me yet!
I would highly recommend you try the Suffolk Stellar! I think they would compliment your feet very well! They have a very stable platform, as well as a 3/4 shank. If you can find them to try, I think they would make a huge difference!
your arches looked so much higher in the russian pointes than in all the other shoes, you should try the rubins because they have a much larger platform than the entradas!
Right? Those Russians look so good on my feet. Wish the platform wasn't itsy bitsy so I could actually balance in them!! Maybe I should give Rubins a try again - that was the first shoe I had when I went back on point as an adult!
I read something about a TMT paste version of the Serenade but they are also a high vamp shoe. I wonder if Bloch will make more shapes/styles with the TMT paste.....
I wear Bloch Hannah 6 1/2 XXX. I LOVE Bloch so much. They are most comfortable for me. Blochs are good for people with wider and less narrow feet. I have pretty wide feet, especially when you get to my toe nuckle area. I guess if you have the same feet, Bloch is for u (Edit) hey it's me a year later. Update on my current shoes: don't wear Hannahs anymore. Now I wear European Balance and they actually perfect😁
i wear the russian pointe rubans, i have about four pairs but i used to wear spotlights. totally forget the brand but they were amazing but sadly now they out not made anymore. thats when i feel inlove with russian pointe
Have you tried Grishko at all? I also have narrow feet and long toes and have just bought Grishko Nova flex 6 XXand after one class they seem to work well for me. I was using Russian Sapfir that looked so pretty but the shank was impossible to break in! I am a mom to 3 boys and just started pointe about 3 months ago
Violet Oriana Definitely, but be prepared that you might not be the best in your class. I took a break from ballet and came back to it 3 years ago and I had to work very hard to keep up. As long as you can put the effort in and just have fun you should 100% go back to it!
Yes you can- it’ll just be kind of hard. I was thinking of quitting tap bc I hate it, but my teacher said that if I want to come back to tap in the future, then it’d be really hard
2:44 I have this pointe and I'm super happy. 1) this pointe are beautiful 2) I buy it at 62€ (more or less the Grisko) 3) are very comfortably 4) When I buy this shoes,my dance teacher say me "this shoes are beautiful and none of your course and school has it" Stay dancer, stay especial✌💞
Julia Cornette since she has been dancing for twelve years, pointe shoes wear out in couple months meaning that they start to not work as well as they used to. Especially if she buys a pair she thought would be good but didn’t work out would also be the problem because she must get new pairs some day. If you do that math pointe shoes last around 2-4 months on average, sometimes even one month so that would mean a new pair every 2-4 months for 12 years. That’s why she has so many pairs
my points are i believe the bloch euro stretch and they feel nice but my feet are super super wide and very small with a very high arch so i have like a 4 and XXX but my heels always fall out and i have tried moving back the elastics and i cannot wait until they die so i can get a better fitting pair
I wear grishko for allegro and russians for adagio. Use grishko in class because my teacher favors quicker pointe combos with a lot of releves. shows. Grishkos last longer while russians allow me to balance on flat with no struggle
Ballerinas By Night Yeah, my feet hurt pretty badly after, now I use the shoes I plan to wear on stage during a practice to see if they work or not for me
I started pointe in January and I’m still on my first pair and we have Bloch ones with elastics instead of ribbons and I’m not very good at pointe I can’t always go over on my box and they are quite small on me now and my dance teacher said when they are getting small for you there will be a point they they will become dangerous to go on so does anyone know how to tell if you should stop using them or when it becomes dangerous to use
Bloch European balance are my perfect shoe I love them so much everything about them works for me the only problem is they died to quickly I need a stronger shoe sometimes
IV Ben usising bloch sérénades for 3 yrs now and just love them but have tried Aries Leo’s gambas was my first pair sanchas but for me I can’t get over on sanchas IV got a good arch and good feet any advice my last pair.
How is the bottom of the shoe like the cloth so pretty and not messed up? Mine always like get dirty and like sometimes the cloth might like peel off :(
what i do to prevent that is to cut off that piece of cloth! a lot of girls at my studio do so too and it makes it look a lot better. it prevents the cloth from ripping and peeling
Nothing's too late if you're up to it! I returned to ballet ab 3 years ago after 14 years of absence (an I'm 33 yo now!). I found a great teacher the past 1.5 years and and now learning pointe 😃 your age is still the advantage tho.. and remember, ballet is about hard work, you get as much as you put in. It'll be hard but be persistent! 😁
my first and only pair i got about in july i think are bloch euro stretch i believe and they are way too small for me and they felt fine when i was trying them on and when i sewed them they felt small and nothing's too tight. my feet are super small, wide and i have a super high arch. the shoes are a 4 XXX but are pointe shoes supposed to usually come off of your heels because they always come off for me, any advice
