Hmm I would definitely say that the Macan GTS and the SQ5 are in the same tier. Same engine, same platform, same company. I think the GTS is a great SUV and not too soccer momish. But the Audi destroys the Macan in driver facing tech. It looks like an Airbus a380 and the Macan looks like a DC 9.
Haha well put! I was simply basing " tiers" on price new as far as everything else goes they are very similar. The Macan is a far better driver's car, handling isn't even a comparison... no doubt audi tech is far superior
I went with an SQ5. Little bigger, less expensive and a better family car. Never really considered the Porsche but that center button mess is a real turn off.
I went to buy the Macan and ended up buying and SQ5 30 minutes after test driving both and Audi for me is alot nicer to driver. Macan had good lower speed but Audi better around corners and Audi interior wayyyyy better than old looking Macan and I am a Macan fan.
thats what i thought i have the 2023 macan and 2020 sq5. couple weeks ago I was lucky enough to do a roll race with a macan s at 60 and i walked the macan s until i hit 130 where i saw the s walking me @@davisrochold1908
Porsche Macan GTS in full launch mode will smoke that Audi. I hope you had in Sport Plus. The Audi barely walked away barely. If you have that Cobb Tuner dude its not even a contest at that point it will launch and launch and never again be seen.
I completely agree. I don't have anywhere nearby to do a side by side launch unfortunately or I would have.. I plan to get a cobb tuner this year with the flat six motorsports piggy back. Since this video ive done intakes too.
Hahaa Not even. Audi would challenge that Macan around a track and look alot nicer at it. Macan front end is shockingly ugly. Bubble lights and outdated interior. That SQ5 looks dirty and not right. People have tested the Audi at 4.9 secs to 100. Look at them in Arctic white in 21 inch rims. Hands down winner in this category and I am a Porsche fan and drove both same day. Unless your a race driver you ain't going to notice anything. This guy is just a Macan fan.

With the PDK transmission your toast. Remember Porsche always underplays their numbers. I have seen this time and time again.
@@ausroboda4003 the interiors are outdated, no matter what year you get unfortunately. I honestly wish we had just bought a turbo from the jump so i wouldnt have to worry about tuning to be as fast as id like. The macan would definitely smoke the sq5 off the line tho. Qnd the shifts are faster, no doubt.
First of all, I own neither of these, but Someone sounds like a butt hurt Porsche owner lmao. Ain’t that big of a deal. Manufacturers can claim whatever they want. On the road ACTUAl Driving is all that matters. 0-60 in 4 secs is awesome if you can actually prove it and do it
Lol. The sq5 does not handle like any suv i know. I have had a corvette z06 and the sq5 though not as twitchy as the z06 handles quite responsively and is very communicative while in dynamic mode. Saying it handles like any other suv is just plain stupid.
This particular sq5 did not have the sport package and therefore no adaptive air suspension or torque vectoring rear differential. I do think that makes a huge difference as since this video ive driven an sq5 with those options and its a world of difference.
