Alex, I’m so proud of you I’ve been watching you since I was 12 years old so about 12 years, you have such a healing energy and you’ve been helping me so much through my eating disorder recovery and self image journey. I can’t wait to have babies and I’ve literally been watching you and your old videos the past two weeks and it’s been helping me so much. Your evolution as a woman and mom is incredible and inspiring. Love you so much even though we don’t know each other. such a kind heart and beautiful soul your body is so beautiful truly. Welcome back Alex!! I missed you🫶🏻 happy to hear that you’re feeling better this time around. I’m SO glad that you got the right help with your post partum OCD. There’s still a lot of stigma and misunderstanding around OCD. My husband has been battling OCD since he was a kid. I’m so proud of you for talking about it and getting the help you needed🙌🏼❤️

Sooo happy to hear postpartum has been going well for you! I’m sorry about your ER/blood clot experience though - I went through something similar, just 2 days postpartum I passed a very big blood clot and had to go to the ER with my breastfeeding newborn and wait there 8 hours to make sure no placenta was retained. Luckily all was well but it was not a great day lol

Omg please link the scratcher thingy you use for the rugs ! I really need one like that cause when i scrape my rug by hand my fingers always hurt afterwards and i don't have anything grippy enough to use like the device.

Thanks for talking about scary thoughts. I had them so bad post partum with my son and was terrified I was going to drop him out the window etc. starting talking about it and realised it is so normal!

I had my baby 2 months ago and I get intrusive thoughts too! I thought i was the only one…thanks for being open and honest! I am giving her mostly formula because I hate pumping. I feel like a cow and it makes me feel anxious.

Also, no one prepares you for the pain of getting those cloths out post birth, those “massages” on the tummy right after you deliver are the most painful thing I have ever gone thru

Loved this vlog, Alex! You have such a lovely family. Also just a random comment but I recently had a mirror fall and I want to suggest that you make sure the large gold mirror on the bench is secured to the wall or perhaps moved somewhere higher. They really are a hidden danger that can fall and hurt kids/dogs unless they're bolted to the wall. Anyway just wanted to pass this along.

If you get a chance can you link or provide the name of the dog fur tool? Need that so bad 😅 Also thanks for the book recommendation!! I’ve been struggling a ton with intrusive thoughts this pregnancy. Therapy has helped but I’m nervous they’ll get bad again post partum.

You look so happy and in complete bliss! I gave birth to my first, a baby boy, at the end of May and I can tell you I was slightly nervous about post partum since I have a history of depression and anxiety and honestly I think having experienced some really low lows it really helped me take my post partum journey really well, which I'm so greatful for. I know this isn't the case for all. I will say that i had the same intrusive thoughts about dropping my son down the stairs or outside on the concrete or something and falling out of the baby carrier or something. Not an image you want to picture. I think what helps me is just knowing that it's not real and if I'm thinking it then it's not actually going to happen. Congrats on baby girl!

The amount of relief, I thought those “intrusive thoughts” were just inside my head and that there was something wrong with me, like I was subconsciously wishing something bad would happen, they are so bad. Thank you for sharing 🫶🏼
