As much as I love hearing you play these are the types of videos I like the most.I usually don't comment on videos but Jamal you are bringing it with these,so powerful.So much emphasis in on the gift these days.(yes be skillful in what you do)but where is the love for your brother,where is the heart to worship, the relationship with Jesus.Music ministries have become straight up entertainment.If that is what I wanted I would just go see beyonce or someone, anyway keep the videos coming bro, be blessed!!!!!!!!!
I think we don't put enough energy into meditation. Meditation can eradicate these egos. Fasting is also important!!! God put this on your heart so keep being aware.
Man I feel like I was just delivered now. I’ve been dealing with a monster p&w leader for three years. I’m just a volunteer keyboard player and I feel like a slave without a voice. I see that I gotta take the road of love and not passive aggressiveness. To be honest, sometimes I completely stop playing when she says some things. I know I’m wrong and I wanna behave better. I’ve told her before that i don’t like coming to church because she’s mean, but now i gotta try another route paved in love. Pray for me bro! Thanks for sharing. Bryan Smith It may be time to step away. Stepping away from a bad church situation is not stepping away from God. If you are being abused and your health is at risk, then it may be time to step away, even just for a season.
Gospel Musicians thanks for the words. Man it’ll be hard to step away. I really love this church and have grown to know the people there. I’ll take some time to really assess what is going on and see if stepping away is best. I couldn’t imagine leaving and not having a church (even for a season). Thanks again for the advice.
12:55 and on broke me man just yesterday I played a church and everything thatvwas played was very basic but done just to praise the Father piano was basically a starter little Yamaha with the speakers on em...you know what im talking about lol. It was awesome tho man I played as simple as can be and the Spirit just flowed no no bass no guitar no sinth nothin just for and five chord songs too. Ideas jus came to me very simple and geared towards letting the singers shine amd the worship shine and God just moved man. Later I go to my home church where we have everything a musician could want and it was just not happeneing man. Before we started the service the drums player from the other church was helping us and he told me that the church loved my playing and that they wanted me to keep helping them and it was awesome and I got all high on myself insteas of doing the same thing from the other church I started making myself the focal point by adding some spise to my chords and playing over the others not regarding certain chord changes they simply didnt know and just making it about me and man it didnt work but when you said those things I felt the Spirit and crying and Gods love showing me why it is that happens sometimes. Return to yur first love. Playing like you just wana worsip him and let yur playing be to lift others up to doing the same is what God wants. This is true of any guft its to lift others up not YOU. Praise God man! We got to much STUFF going on in church Jesus is over there just sitting waiting for us to let Him lead and He aint even in the service half the time cus we make it all about us and look at me. Thank God for His mercy tho
The true Christian does not live in masks, he has to take the side, just as Job, who went from heaven to hell, but did not blaspheme God, is not only about having a good musical instrument and being a good musician, the Kingdom of God is crying out for a renewal, and I am not only referring to a group of people who renew themselves, but to the attitude in spirit and truth, more than to touch and sing, but to go on the way, evangelizing, to give up the vanities that never end, there are thousands on the road, so many others on the corners, we must be attentive, the Lord has brought us a powerful word, let's leave the comfort.
Thanks for sharing that bro. I hardly comment on videos... You are right, we shouldn’t be having to talk about it, yet here we are. I’ve been through a lot in regards to worship teams and ministry in Général and one of the things I’ve been thinking recently is (as you mentioned) the fruits, the main thing we will be asked about when we get to be before God one day. I believe many will be surprised on that day as it won’t be as many think it will. In order words, we might think we are doing the right thing right now, just because every other Christian does it perhaps, which doesn’t necessarily mean it’s what God asked of us. I think we need to wake up and get real, take off the masks and honest with ourselves because Jesus didn’t die for who we pretend to be, but for who he knows we are! Be blessed!
Let me tell you something if a minister of music‘s disrespects me me him and the pastor or going to have it out and if the issue doesn’t get resolved I would get up and leave it’s just that simple
They are talking about you if you think they are, and if someone is mean you must say it aloud. Quickly. You know that you are being mean right? You must stop being mean. They will deny it because they do not know they are mean. They think they are being asservative. Ingnor what they say next. Just, treat them like a child and just say people are not going to like working with you if you continue to be mean to them. Practice at home. If they say they are not. Do not argue. Just say well it seemed a little mean to me. Then refuse to discuss it further. I have this one comment that always works with mean people. I say. Let me get this right. I am here trying to help you and you are going to be mean to me? They always apologize.0
tough subject but you can't keep people do what they do while fooling themselves or you else they think their own interpretation from the situation and then you're further away then what was. It can get worst. I let it simmer and act then, No rooster will not crow and point out to disown.
