@@ViktoriousDeadI had to tag you cause I have a question. I agree with you about spending money for over priced stuff. But in your opinion do you think a ACOG is worth the $1000 price it's set at. I would like to know your opinion please sir.
This is the single most practical RU-vid channel for Minecraft citizens, and the most real, and I watch every single video. Please keep these coming, it is really needed - from a former contractor who's tired of seeing minuteman advice that's going to get people killed immediately.
Thank you for being a normal human being and a knowledging the fact that items can be over priced. It’s like the twilight zone on RU-vid with a narrative that if your rifle and accessories didnt cost $3,000 + you have a shitty rifle
For anyone wondering, if you’re MIL/LEO this upper can be had on brownells for about $650, which is arguably the best value you’re going to get when it comes to any AR15’s. Also this is not a recommendation for Daniel Defense, they’re just the only ones that currently offer this barrel/handguard setup, which is my favorite upper.
@@TheModernColonistare you military? Military grade smokes are restricted for military/leo use. There are some fairly decent airsoft smokes for civilian use, but I haven’t been able to find anything with the same output as mil smoke
@@PotionSlammerGaming no not military just civ, you know because our constitution and all and the reason why we have one, shouldn’t we have better smokes than the military ?

Nice rifle man. Its nice that we can get better stuff as a civilian than what we were issued in the military. I was in the Marine Corps Infantry myself, and I am also in Tennessee. Not as many people around here that are into firearms unless they are active duty. I am out by Ft Campbell and most of the people I have to train with are mostly civilians because they dont have the commitment of the military.
@@ViktoriousDead how far west? I go out to Dover TN quite a bit, and every once in a blue moon I might go out to Paris TN. Maybe we can get together for a range day man. I’ve got a 16” AR I put together with a Radical Arms SOCOM profile barrel, Rise Armament RR434 trigger, and a cheap holographic red dot on there for now. I picked up the cheap red dot so I can run it on a 45 degree offset mount and run an LPVO on top so I can transition between close in targets and out to distance
PSA parts builder here for all 4 of my ARs. Vortex Strike Eagle LPVO on my 5.56 and a PA Prism on my 11.5" .300 AAC due to Astigmatism. No Red Dot is sharp with 2 diopters of astigmatism, regardless of price. Even EO Tech. For Secondary, I stick with an M9. Fits my 2XL hands and U've been using it since the early 90s. Not former Military, but I've been shooting and hunting for most of my 64 years. The Astigmatism/Red Dot issue is one you should address, especially for the new guys/gals. It isn't talked about much, and it really needs to be. Dot price and emitter quality go out the window when you hit the 1.0 diopter of cylinder point, over 1.0 diopters it only gets worse.
I see the Starburst effect in all my red dots because of the same issue. I've read reviews prior to purchase before I figured it out. People would say the dot is crisp and pinpoint. But when I would look at it, was fuzzy and alternating.
You may very well have a stigmatism, but a common error is people will actually look directly at the EOTECH reticle and it will appear fuzzy, in reality you’re supposed to look at the target and impose the reticle over it. This is amplified when the optic isn’t mounted to a dot and people just pick them up at look through them
I have the same upper and Aero lower. It runs flawless, added the DD bolt carrier and raptor charging handle. Eotech 2.0 green on top with the Eotech 5X as well. Love it, shots beyond amazing you can tell the quality difference,
Central Virginia here. It’s awesome seeing others run a very similar setup. I’m running the same DD upper with a Holosun ACSS red dot + Holosun 3x magnifier on Unity mounts, Modlite OKW, and BCM KAG. Mine was originally an aero lower too lol but swapped it for an ambi LWRC lower. Runs like a dream with an H2 buffer.
I like my holosun he510c with the 3x magnifier i also bought a PA3x prism with a holosun acss he507c piggy back the mount is questionable but im sure they'll build something more durable
@@jakesoros2376 it’s more comfortable honestly. All of the other benefits are secondary to me. And at the distances I’m shooting at, the holdovers are really not that bad.
I built a modern version of the CAR-15 with a SOCOM 11.5 inch Remington Defense Barrel 1/7 Chrome lined about 4 years ago before Remington went bust and I picked up on a clearance sale and I had a 5.5 inch CAR Flash hider pinned and Welded and with 77gr Mk262 ammo it reaches out to 400 yards without issues and I have been trying to find a 14.5 inch but I have not been able to do so thus far. We used 11.5 inch Commandos or M4 while I served in the Navy in 2002-2009. I love my Eotech 512 w/G23 magnifier and the Remington barrel was the first time I use that barrel I normally build rifles with BA or DD.
Other than the cool factor/legality what was the point of pinning a 5.5 in muzzle device on a short barreled rifle? It seems like now you’ve got all the downsides of a 16” with all of the downsides of an 11.5
@@ViktoriousDead That build was originally a Pistol with a 11.5 inch barrel and a SB Tactical M4 Brace but when the Braces became illegal I decided to add the 5.5 CAR-15 Flash hider. While it was a Pistol I had a Kreb type muzzle device like the ones on the AK100 but for AR15 which are available for both 556 and 762 ARs. The Muzzle device has a small baffle that increases the back pressure and allows short barrel AR15 to function very well and reduce the Concussion significantly I have used this type of device to fix friends SBRs that were picky with ammo and now are not. I found this barrel while ordering parts for a LEO Agency order that I was working on. I pick up the barrel because I wanted to see how well the SOCOM Profile would work since I am a BIG FAN of the HBAR for my Go To ARs. My favorite is a Mid-Length 1/7 twist Chrome lined HBAR with a Vortex Muzzle Device but I also have several 11.5, 16, 18 and 20 inch barrel AR in 556, 300BO and 7.62x39. Normally I go with Daniel Defense CHF barrels for high end builds or Ballistic Advantage Premium barrels but for everyday shooting and plinking I have had AWESOME LUCK with Del-Ton barrels and BCG that are made to Mil-Spec and they Chrome lined both the barrel and BCG. I have one of my first build from 2002ish I used a Del-Ton Rifle Kit with a 1/7 Twist Chrome barrel and BCG Phosphated 8620 Steel Carrier Assembly and HPT/MPI Tested with Carpenter 158 Bolt. That rifle has over 20K rounds thru it without any issues and I used it in many 2 and 3 gun matches while I served in the Navy and was stationed in the East Coast. I also used it during a few courses at the Blackwater campus in 2005-07 before they had the issues in Iraq and changed names. www.carolinashooterssupply.com/AK74-FRONT-SIGHT-BLOCK-24x1-5MM-Muzzle-Brake-p/css-ak47-krink-flashhider.htm Now days I keep a small custom firearms business open to stay busy and make keep working in the firearms industry as a consultant creating off the shelf solutions for MIL and LEO clients. I would love to find a couple more 11.5 inch and a three or four 14.5 inch Remington Defense SOCOM barrels because they are Extremely Accurate and for some weird reason they were also very Inexpensive at less than 100 dollars for an 11.5 with the F Front Sight and barrel nut and I pickup the last one that my Distributor had in stock and they have not been able to get more of them for reason. I have heard that when Remington went into bankruptcy one of their warehouses on the east coast had over 10 thousand of the SOCOM barrels but I have not been able to find out where they went.
Thanks, brother. I sure appreciate your honesty, independence of thought. I'd model your setup way before I would some other tactically "cool" ones. It would for me better than an LPVO, to be sure.
Whatever works for you, I just see a lot of people with a setup that’s a good idea in theory, but either they don’t have the capability or the weapon/optics doesn’t
I have a few eotechs and one x3 magnifier that moves around dependent on what I'm doing. Came close to buying a vortex razor a time or two, but never did. Your setup is very close to my "go to".
I think the threat of an emp or being without battery power is one of the drivers behind people's interest in etched scopes trending over holo sights and red dots.
This is true. But if an EMP goes off, not having my current red dot working would not be my primary concern at the time lol. I do have iron sights laying around for instances like that, but for this partial rifle I’m not putting backups on there
Nice rifle man. Glad to see someone else who doesn’t care about lowers. I’ve got some really nice ones, but always tell people to spend the least you can on lowers as long as they’re in spec. If you’re ever in north GA and want to shoot, hit me up.
I agree but in terms of cost. But they do look cool. Sharps Bros makes an ambi cast then machinery lower. Supposed to make it lighter than a straight cnc machined lower for around 140 can’t beat that Edit: Those ADM lowers are very nice to. Not cheap though.
never even thought about the flip to the side as a extra deal to identify at range, i always set up with center flip behind my eotech, next go around im gonna have to flip to the side & see how i like it. thanks for the heads up bro bro!! Peace!
The flip to side also lets you run co witness irons which is a big deal especially with eotechs battery life. And I’m glad this video showed you about PID, but that’s the great thing about all magnifies optics, and you can still use you center flip magnifier to do that. Flip to side is best for irons, and being out of the way for a charging handle
When a flip-to-center is down, it can’t be used unlike a flip to side. With the eye relief I want out of this 5x irons can’t really fit, and not something i’m particularly worried about having on this rifle. I don’t know if you’ve used the center flip with NODS but they kinda suck for that
The first scout pro I received from them had a flickering issue, that wasn’t related to the contact points or the threads, and I’ve broken two of their pistol lights. I like their suppressors but for the money I’ve never been impressed with what they put out all that much
@@ViktoriousDead that’s not good hopefully surefire warranty covered that for you. I got two cans for them and 5 lights always ran good. Next light will probably be a modlite.
@@Redbusser40they sent me another tailcap but that didn’t fix the problem lol. I like their cans. The only WML I’ve ever used that was completely bombproof was the Insight’s we were issued back in the day. Surefire, for what they cost, have been disappointing
I have the same DD upper, with an LMT lower/bolt, sopmod stock, Geissele trigger, etc. I live in Arizona so LPVO is a must, Eotech does show in the desert as far as daylight illumination, but the scope gives you a little more capability. Also I have one eye so passive aiming is nonexistent.....but I'd like you to consider an LPVO on a qd mount. Razors are great, but not hardy. Almost no lpvo scopes are made for military use, except for those full metal body Trijicons. That will change. My suggestion if you want the option is actually an older scope, a Steiner PX4i 1-4x with 3ptr reticle, on an ADM recon qd mount that is 1.7 or 1.9 high. The reason is, on that scope in particular the 1x is amazing, the glass is great and clear to 4x, and the illumination is daylight bright. I have a cheaper, Vortex strike eagle gen 2 1-8x SFP on that gun right now because its summer here (always clear) and you need the longer magnification as there is no brush in the desert. In Texas with scrub brush and sub 200 yard shots I do irons, that P4xi, or a little Holosun multie-reticle. Anyway, you know more than me just a thought. Most of what I'm doing is hog hunting so its cold bore single shots with some follow ups. I have super light guns, but that m4a1 can serve as a minute man rifle in any conflict. As someone who has posted a couple of videos, please note that most of these people are...not worth arguing with or even answering in most cases. I believe I called them Shrek-Jackers in my videos, bc they are trolls who jack off all day and look like Shrek. Anyway, Subscribed.
I subscribed instantly my kinda build man. I have a urgi that is in need of an optic, I’ve had everything from nightforce to eotech but now I’m just running irons. When tax money comes I thought about the vudu x…
Very solid! Literally, bet you could beat someone's ass with that thing lmao And it definitely wins for style, classic silhouette for us younger guys Very well thought out and practical set-up with some excellent tips too (magnifier to side to PID, stupid simple but easy for people to overlook) exactly what I'd expect Even talking pricepoint was dead-on and great to see, it's far too common to hear people say 'just buy x' and it's not practical for the average person to justify the expense Overall it's an excellent, time-tested setup and a great basis for someone to start with, just a bit of research and shopping around for deals/used optics, etc. will get you there over time, or give you something similar, even tweaked to your preferences if you don't need say a heavy socom profile barrel and would rather save some weight Anyways, enough rambling lol Thanks for the excellent video!
Thanks, Yea there’s a lot of options on the market, and more expensive doesn’t always mean better. I don’t have much good to say about brands like Surefire, a lot of them absolutely don’t care once they get government contracts. But this rifle is absolutely bullet proof. The best barrel/handguard for hard duty use in my opinion
Block 2 was made durning a time of war. War in the mountains, high elevation, or the streets of Iraq. URGI was made during general peace and comfort. Not saying URGI is bad, but if the URGI came out in 2010, it would never have been adopted in my opinion. I think mlok is great for the civilian and LE market, but the Block 2 is pretty darn well proven. I have an mlok for work so I know it gets hot faster and it's a pain putting items on it. By the time you add the extra mounts and heat guards it's the same weight.
Love the set up! I’m rocking the vortex razor because I hated swapping batteries. The 1x on it is pretty damn good. If I ever buy NVGs I’ll have to change it up. Climb to glory. Rock of the Marne. Duty First.
I live in the ozarks and I settled on a very similar setup. There aren’t a lot of times I’d need to shoot past 300 and even in those instances where I can see past 300 dudes will be using terrain anyways.
Just came across your channel. Stationed in Alaska and ETS from Army in November. looking at eastern TN as our new home. Glad to see like minded individuals are there. Hopefully can train with some of y’all.
I’ll tell you like I’ve told others Unless you have family here, you gotta understand that you will be an outsider, people in the state have always been “suspicious” of others even if they’re friendly to your face, in addition to that land prices and living expensive in general have skyrocketed due to mass migrations form the Midwest and west coast to TN, and many people are openly fed up with those political/financial refugees. Just letting you know, it’s a consideration for those considering the move to the area. Someone in my area moved here from Chicago, started building a very large house near the water and had it burned down.
@DukeOfTennessee117 You have to be suspicious of outsiders, or you end up like NC and VA. Citizens from the northeastern states made more money, and upon retirement in the late 60s to mid 80s, settled in places like NC and VA due to less congestion and a lower cost of living. Then, they had kids whose minds were poisoned with liberal socialist propaganda. Now their kids and grandkids speak with a southern accent, but want to abolish the death penalty and make firearms illegal for all citizens etc. Letting liberals in is like introducing an invasive species of wildlife into a stable ecosystem....They pretend to seek refuge from a bad place then, immediately start voting to turn the new place as bad as the previous S###hole they came from.
I'd consider out west with plenty of BLM land. It's difficult to find anywhere that you can shoot (outside of 50yd flat ranges) unless you know someone with a ton of land and few neighbors to complain or call the cops. Piggybacking off of Vik, land and houses are getting much more expensive because of people moving in from higher-paying areas, so the people that have been here can/will be a bit put off by you moving in. Out west there is plenty of BLM land that you can access for recreation, including shooting at any time that you would like. Good luck practicing outside of the 9-5 that ranges are generally open (especially night) here in TN LOL.
@@Tony27654not at all. We’re just tired of not being able to afford shit because people moving here from wealthier states overpaying and pricing us out. When a house that was $90,000 in 2019 is now $275,000, and an apartment that went $575-650 is now $1250+ while the natives still make the same money as always, it sucks. If you happen to be a newly divorced dude paying child support, kiss being able to afford housing good bye unless you make above the median income. If you shop around you can find an EXPS3 for 550 and like he mentioned it’s phenomenal for passive aiming. The SIG 8T is roughly the same price (again if you shop around) it has an 80k battery life and multiple reticle options, also looks good under NODS. Also, if you go on LWRC’s websites during sales you can find their IC DI uppers for under 1k, regular price is around 1050, but for what you get it’s a steal. Spiral fluted heavy barrel, ambi charging handle, nickel boron BCG with a gas key that’s built/milled into the BCG. You can get it with their proprietary handguard that comes with accessories or an m lok handguard and they come with a buffer spring and H2 buffer. They are extremely over gassed tho, even with the H2 buffer. I swapped out the H2 for a PWS H3 buffer. Also, BCM has had cosmetic blem uppers for 630 and they come with a free BCG.
@@ViktoriousDead that’s good to know, that takes a nice chunk off. They really are unrivaled under NODS. I’m stashing money away for thermal now and a rayvn bridge to pair with my PVS14.
New sub, watched about 6 of your posted content. Good stuff. Was a 12B from 96-04, we didn't see less than A2s until late in 03. The M4 alone made a world of difference. Was a hurdle to go from irons to ACOG. Personally i agree, only rilfes that have Scopes are DMRs. 1 AR-10, and a Wilson Combat AR15, because it is just that accurate. Never saw the EoTech while in, took to red dot very quickly. I am interested in the EoTech NV and Thermal units myself.
Cool. I have a similar set up. My lower though, was from a local gun smith, sons of liberty gun works. For less than a couple hundred, I'd send you one... but that pesky @+f !! anyway. Curious on the eotech battery life in your region? Gets cold there, huh? I live in Texas. Went with romeo xtpro. Works for me. Might get get frisky this year a pick up an eotch. Well see what the budget says. Cheer, boss.
While I disagree with your opinion on mlok, I also got into guns right around the time mlok took off, so I am very used to it. To me, if you want a quad rail, you should get an m-lok and then throw some 8in pic on it. But, really, the biggest and most important thing is being comfortable with your equipment, so my philosophy is that if it works for you, it works for you. I still would absolutely get clapped by you in a gunfight, mlok or no mlok.
i had a socom upper and changed the barrel because of the weight lol. still have the barrel but i did not like lugging that around. it was super accurate but youll get very good barrel life with a DD m4 profile barrel or LMT rifles. my go to now is a 14.5 LMT mrp

@@ViktoriousDead Oh I understand the weather. I'm not far away from you over in Missouri. I can't wait to see what you have planned, I've been thinking about getting a Daniel Defense in 14.5 but idk if I want to hassle with the stamps.
I appreciate the content you put out. You mentioned that your environment played a role in your setup (i.e., shorter engagement distances). Would you change anything about your setup if you were in a place with less cover and flatter land (Midwest or Southwest). To use hunting as an analogy, back east we would take shots within 100 yards due to the terrain (can’t see far because of sense foliage). On the other hand, hunting in the SW we’re shooting from ridge line to ridge line, with distances averaging between 200 - 500 yards.
Entirely dependent, probably not to be honest, if I lived in very flat, open terrain then I’d probably consider an LPVO, but in open, hilly/mountainous terrain I’d stick with my current setup
Stick with what you can afford. (goes without saying) most AR15’s these days are just parts with different logos on them, I will say this upper is my fav barrel length/barrel type and the RIS 2 rails are absolutely bullet proof, if picatinny isn’t your thing they also offer the RIS 3 in MLOK. If you’re MIL/LEO brownells has this upper for around $650-$700 which is an absolute steal, I’d recommend staying away from Surefire muzzle devices unless you plan on getting one of their SOCOM supressors
@@ViktoriousDead I got the m76 Liberty gun works upper it does have a heavier profile barrel,on PSA lower. Strike industries ar parts kit. M4 style buffer tube Cmmg I believe it is. Love that trigger from strike better than several guys who paid much more from different brands. Not as good as Larue or geissele of course. I prefer the more slim line style of ar hand guard. Lighter for carrying out for hrs hunting hogs.
Making long shots with short optics is very valid. Optics have several advantages but, until recently, irons worked great to distances farther than people are wanting to use dots these days
Loving the content.Keep it up quick question from aan interested Minecraft civilian.Did you ever consider changing your weapon to a 762 by 51 ? Now that you're a civilian
Quick question: I noticed you don’t have iron sights (from what I can see), would you recommend people who are new to the AR platform to buy one with iron sights and practice with them? Or would you recommend skipping the sights and getting a platform like you have with optics and such?
I think knowing how to shoot iron sights is a good thing, I’ll teach my kid how to use them. However, if I was training a large-ish group of people to shoot, I probably wouldn’t start with irons. We’re getting to the point where prism-optics and red dots have etched reticles, extremely long battery lives and are now nearly as durable as iron sights. If you’re a new shooter in general then sure, get irons. If you’ve shot before but you’re JUST new to the AR platform, I’d say go ahead and get a good optic to start practicing on,
@@ViktoriousDead Roger that. I’ve used iron sights when I used to coon and squirrel hunt down near the sand hills, but other than that, and maybe a shitty scope, I’ve never used optics. Definitely have never used an AR platform, either. Thanks for the response. Rock on, dude.
I had an eotech glass broken and the optic still functioned overseas. This rifle will not be getting Backups, we’re fast approaching a time when optics are more durable than a set of flip up irons.
@@ViktoriousDead you just want to give yourself a disadvantage? Eotech low battery life is a thing so if you are in the mix of it and lose power, you have no back up. Or is this a competition gun and not a duty rifle? I guess I should have asked first
I’m able to keep four spare batteries on the gun in the front and rear grip, the optic takes one, so that’s four entire new life cycles, in addition all my kits/chest rigs have an additional four batteries for the optic. I “acquired” about two hundred lithium 123’s from the military upon exiting, that I keep specifically for powering optics, so that’s not something I particularly worry about. As far as SHTF, this is the rifle I’d take if I KNEW I was going to have to engage someone, but for a long term survival scenario this rifle wouldn’t necessarily be my choice, or any Ar for that matter. My issue with the “battery lifer” people is that they’ll settle for less than ideal optics and backup irons strictly because of the perceived issue there, and end up with a heavier weapon with sub par performing optic. We can play the “what if” game till we’re blue in the face, but I’ve literally used an eotech after an explosion shattered the glass and it continued to function. That, to me, is proof enough of the durability of the optic. I suspect if we could somehow figure out how many people in a serious situation have ever had an optic like this fail and had to use backup irons the numbers would be staggeringly low. “What ifs” are why people are ending up with 20” guns, LPVO, top mounted red dot and backup irons with bipod and laser aiming device/ white light turning a handy, light carbine into a musket chambered in a intermediate cartridge
The 3-2 reticle is exceptional for ranging, no need to carry a rangefinder that sends a signal out for opfor. 2nd dot on nuts (cock and balls =3), hes 300. etc
Awesome video. Would you feel the same if the optic was a sig romeo 4xt pro and only a 3x sig magnifier? They have a very tough red dot in the 4xt pro. Thank you.
Frick yeah man! I did the same exact build idea but a slight bit difference regarding optics etc. I got the block 2 upper stripped on thanksgiving 2022 for 680 out the door next day shipping from brownells. My build is over 6k now and it’s my baby. My parts lists are as follows: DD block 2 upper, aero lower, geissele 3g, radian talón, radian raptor, vltor a5, law folder, vltor IMOD, LMT Enhanced bolt and bcg, Matech bius, dd fixed front, dead air 3 prong pinned, protac hlx, nightforce nx8 2.5-20, badger c1 1.54 mount, Harris bipod, and I’m saving to top her off with a sig Romeo 4xt pro on top. When I have it for home defense I use eotch 512 in an adm QD 1/3 mount. Once I get the sig that eotech won’t be needed. I love this build so much, it’s taken over 5 years to make since I’m not rich and I support a wife and baby on only my income but what I do have is a rifle that is sub minute with good ammo and can do anything from precision work to home defense. I love folding it up into my grey ghost apparition bag for travel and road trips. It’s the coolest gun I’ve ever owned and the only thing I’d take over it is an LMT MARS L with long quad rail upper that would be the best of the best but this is great.
I’m the same way. I can’t stand mlok. I have a couple of them but it’s a hassle. You have to buy adapter for your adapter now you have to carry extra Allen keys.
Im sorry a quad rails is too much for you, it must suck to have soft hands. But here you are fighting on the RU-vid comments section, so it makes sense. 20+ years of special operations in warfare has said otherwise in regards to the quad rails… but to each their own.

How do you go about that, or do you find it unnecessary to clean that? Im only 20 yr dont bash me
I just started watching you and I see you’re pretty new so before you get stuck in the routine, I’m begging you please do not film/upload in HDR. On iPhones, it turns everyone’s screens to max brightness and you need to turn on power save mode to stop it. I usually just close close the videos of people who do it once I see my phone getting super bright so I know it’s costing people at least some views. I like the content though 👍🏻
I’ve owned two PSA uppers both of which had QC issues, I’m the exception not the rule, it seems like most of their stuff is fine, but I won’t be buying anymore PSA ar components. Ultimately it doesn’t matter, if the rifle is in spec it will be fine. But people continue to give them a “get out of jail free” card
i use the surefire 3 prongs. idk if other flash hiders hide flash as well as well as having a muzzle device that has the suppressor availability as well
@@ViktoriousDead never has been, never will be. You know what is the way? ACOGS, especially TA02s. You should buy mine so I can buy a compm5s today when I’m at the store.
Hey man would you say it’s worth it to do an enlistment in the 75th today? I’m 23 but recently haven’t wanted to do it because the feds are off their rocker but what do you think?
I don’t mean this in a dick-ish way, but If your reason for not joining is goverment-related affairs, or any other excuse that isn’t 110% commitment to the job, where you’d rather be dead than not make it to regiment, I’d say don’t join. The “feds” have always been off their rocker. We haven’t fought a war that benefited the American people in over 100 years. If your reasons aren’t mercenary, then I’d say stay away.
I have that exact same upper. I am not prior military but I love my block 2. It's a great setup. How is the recoil impulse of the 4prong? I have a 3 prong and it has a distinct recoil impulse where it pushes up and to the right. It's very noticeable. Is the 4 prong more neutral? My block 2 does have an lpvo but its the plx-c and the 1x is super flat.
I’ve never used a three prong before, couldn’t tell you, over all it’s fairly flat shooting, but again it’s a heavier rifle and a 5.56 so the recoil is manageable regardless Nothing Surefire makes in my opinion is very impressive except for their suppressors, which is why I’ve got this muzzle device, and to be accurate to the Block 2 rifles/MK18’s we were issued
@@ViktoriousDead Thank you for your service bro. What unit were you with? I just found your channel today. Well, regarding surefire--I agree with you. For pistol lights on full size/compact guns(g34 to G19ish sized guns) I use the TLR1HL and have found it to be more than adequate for pistols. For rifles I have one Cloud Defense Rein and a Protac HLX with the Cloud Defense light control thing which is just a piece of plastic that you can use to mount the Streamlight pressure pad to a pic rail and it works really well. The light is good too. I also have one Tacticon rifle light that's like a clone of the Surefire m300 size(the little ones, I forget what the designation is) and so far it has held up and that thing was $75 at Christmas time but normally runs about $125 or so. It's made by the guys on youtube or rather it is sold by them. I don't know who actually manufactures it. I have one 3 prong and some closed tine warcomps and those...man, I thought they'd be a good standalone muzzle device but they really over compensate the gun even with only 6 ports. The gun kinda recoils downwards lol. It's not ideal. I was planning on getting an RC2 but these days I am seriously leaning towards either a Saker 556, a Velos LBP(both from SiCo) or perhaps even one of the Griffin Armament cans. All of those have a good reputation and you can replace the OEM mounts for a bunch of them if you want. Not all of the Griffin ones do that but the Griffin mounts are really good anyway and not too pricey. Idk which I'm gonna go with yet. Do you have any suppressors?
@@armorers_wrenchI’ve got a video explaining my background (intro to partisan tactics) that one, But I was in 2nd Ranger batt and did some work RRC aswell
I also prefer EOTech, but what’re your thoughts on how viable it is for a longer term “SHTF” situation with the shorter battery life? Do you just stock batteries? I kind of think it’s an overblown issue but still interested to hear your opinion on that
I’m able to keep four spare batteries on the gun in the front and rear grip, the optic takes one, so that’s four entire new life cycles, in addition all my kits/chest rigs have an additional four batteries for the optic. I suspect if we could someone figure out how many people in a serious situation have ever had an optic like this fail and had to use backup irons the numbers would be staggeringly low. “What ifs” are why people are ending up with 20” guns, LPVO, top mounted red dot and backup irons with bipod and laser aiming device/ white light turning a handy, light carbine into a musket chambered in a intermediate cartridge.
@@ViktoriousDeadI like how you copy and pasted this comment from the other comment you replied to. lol Plus you talked about storing batteries in the video. Good shit man
I don’t have any experience with a four dot, and I’m fairly new to this two dot, but as of now I like it more than the single dot with this 5x magnifier
Yea fuck mlok. I always have to use a screwdriver or sumthing skinny to go inside the rail b make sure it locks correctly. I alsp use a dd m4a1 ris 2, and a dd m4v7p wit recce 5
Only downside of suppressors are weight, cost, added length and having an NFA item in your house. And if you shoot a lot you can wear them out much quicker than the barrel. Other than that they’re a great investment
The dude that burned churches and was a convicted murderer? Lol, no haven’t heard that one yet. I routinely get mistaken for other people or told I look like “so and so” all the time though
