It is 2022. I have just spent the last three hours doing everything under the sun to make my printer print. It seemed to have a disconnect between computer and printer. I did all the Epson recommendations, did maintenance, replaced an ink cartridge, pulled my hair out, wept on the floor. THEN I found this video and IT WORKED, even though the Epson whatever was supposed to have done something with the spooling about 2 hours ago! You have saved the life of my printer! It was about to be beaten to shrapnel with a hammer any time now, just like I did with the last one!

It worked! You ROCK! This is the first time I've had this problem and wondering what caused it to happen. Unfortunately, Windows provides no error codes or anything to identify the problem...I didn't know where to start. Almost 9 years after you posted the video and still helping your community. THANKS.

I worked for the document I was working on at the time. But the next time I tried to print it happened again. Is there a setting in the spool settings I should change? Can't imagine doing this stop/start spool every time I print.

After following your steps, I'm still having problems. I managed to print just fine before I installed Windows 10. I don't know if that's the cause, but that's the only thing I've changed recently. Now when I print, I get "Communication not Available. The printer cannot communicate with the computer." The solutions they offered didn't work. I have no idea what could be the problem and how to fix it. URGH!!! The computer detects the printer, but it refuses to print!

I didn't disconnect the printer: just clicked "Stop" on the Service Status and waited for a few seconds when "Start" option became available. Then clicked on "Start" and printer went back to working. Thank you! Great explanation!

Thank you so much! worked like a charm. I am connect with a usb and was printing just fine then all of a sudden I was getting my printer was in error. I did the troubleshoot scenario and it said my usb was incompatible even though I had just been printing from it. So frustrating! I tried all these other videos and nothing worked except for yours!
