Sierra, I was an 21 year old housewife especially at 22 when I had our first child. Like you, I've also always worked ( as a writer, waitress, and tutor). Also like you, I was very hardworking and successful at my "side hustle." Now that my husband of 35 years died suddenly six years ago on the Fourth of July, those side hustle skills come in mighty handy. Next goal: Finish all my half started articles. I hope this isn't an offensive question but I genuinely am curious. How do you motivate yourself to do things you like at home? Do you ever have to fight off the feeling of wasting a day because the day has been too 'calm' or 'slow'? It's an issue I have staying at home for break and I find myself getting so antsy I can barely function.
Remind yourself that "productivity" in the way we know it doesn't have to be your sole purpose! Productivity should include finding time to enjoy hobbies or just relax; it helps us recharge, and doing fun/"unproductive" things is one of the best parts of life!
i feel the same everyday :( i work at 2pm and every time i wake up past 10am i get so angry and antsy, it ends up ruining my whole day because it feels like a wasted day/morning
@@bword590Currently working on this in therapy, and working on my sleep hygiene plus giving myself designated work hours helps a lot. If I know I need to be working by 9am for example, I know that I need to start getting ready for bed at like 10pm the night before to actually fall asleep at a decent time to be well rested and get a good start to my day. My therapist also suggested trying to go somewhere that's not home to get work done like sitting at a coffee shop or renting a study room at the library. I haven't done that one yet tho.
Having a schedule helps a lot. Getting up at the same time every day,starting your coffee, making your bed, etc. Routines are helpful for those of us who have depression or anxiety or just have issues about getting motivated.
Oh my gosh girl I do not know HOW you do it! Walking on a treadmill while listening to music while working? How can you do so much multitasking?! If I’m doing anything I have to sit still and just focus. I love your content, keep doing what you do ❤❤
