No I couldn't find a speed setting either. I just made the wind movement fairly slow to fake it

i have a weird question is it possible to Roto grass is there a VFX technique to use especially when a 3D object is interacting with it.

Yes there is. It's called a holdout. It's a bit different in every software but the name and the technique is the same. In blender you would render a pass where the object interacting with the grass is in jts own collection and set that collection to a holdout. That way, the object will be rendered transparent and cut out the grass behind it. That way you just have the grass Infront of it isolated and can comp that on top

You’re going for realism, but it doesn’t look very realistic. Usually the ones that crack the top 100 look borderline photoreal.

I don't have enough time to make it truly photoreal. I only spent a few days on this. I have a full time job doing VFX and other commitments too. It's not all about getting in the top 100. I just enjoy taking part and making something cool. Try not to bash people for just having fun maybe 👌

I didn't take it as an insult. I explained why it doesn't look real. But I do find it annoying when people comment with nothing nice to say. If you want to be constructive, go for it. @@AlfieVaughan I said it doesn’t look photoreal. If the standard you’re going for is mobile games, then this looks great. To be honest, I don’t think you’re able to achieve photorealism. You’re best project on here is your Iron Man video, and even that doesn’t look photoreal.

You're not considering the fact that to properly achieve photorealism takes a huge amount of time. I simply don't have the time to do that for RU-vid videos and I don't claim otherwise. I do however, do lots of photoreal VFX at work. Like in the 5 years I worked at The Mill... One of the best VFX studios in the world. What's your authority exactly?
