One thing that has helped me is having my wifi off. In that way I can have that set time to do my devotions without any disturbance! I like getting that done first thing in the morning before I consult with anyone else✨

I love this! I'm a theology major in college, and one of the best lessons I've learned so far is that God wants us to be happy. Theologians throughout history have described God’s destiny for us (heaven) as the “Beautify vision.” This means the “happy vision.” In other words, being with God is perfect happiness. A LOT of people think that God wants to kill our joy by giving us rules. But God gives us his teaching and his life in Christ, not to make us miserable, but to show us perfect happiness. As Christians we aren't called to be happy as the “world” is happy- but we ARE called to the perfect joy of eternal life with Christ. 💓🥺

I find that too when I don't pray enough, trouble starts happening even if I did not sin. So, if you are overwhelmed by problems whether internally or externally start praying psalms and Lord’s prayer alot! You will feel better. 🌻

I’ve always wanted to feel a connection to religion but I so fundamentally believe in love for all, extremely for the LGBTQ+ community, and that stands in my way of connecting to God, in the way religion teaches. I would love sources on connecting with God in a way that views all love as equal and wonderful.
