You can obviously tell that the dog is trying his extremely best to not attack his owner but unfortunately can’t take control Rest In Peace little buddy
@@whisperingthylacine Yeah, but rabies is a virus that desperately wants to spread. The feral rage and aggression is an important part of the virus's process, as well as the hypersalivation. The reason that it turns the brain into mush actually isn't the virus directly, it's the immune response trying to kill the virus and attacking the host's nervous system in the process.
I'm not sure that the dog would attack. The dogs response was not at all aggressive. I think he wanted to go near the owner and get some and show affection.
I hate seeing dogs with rabies and this was a CLASSIC case. Spaced out, tons of drooling, twitching, aggressive behavior. Much longer and he'd been seizing and walking around in circles and falling down, eventually unable to stand up, then death. Sad to see him go as that's a very pretty dog, but glad he's not suffering anymore.
@@Stopcommentingthesamecomments Nope. Rabies affects movements and behaviors but the victims are still completely coherent under it all. That’s what makes it so awful
Maybe he didn’t want to kill him, he just want to enter the house with his friend, he was so calm at the entrence that if he didn’t have that white string you can’t say he have rabies
Seeing him standing out there at the door breaks my heart🥲. In that moment it means saying goodbye... to shared memories and beautiful moments... saying goodbye forever to a friend... who has now become "a stranger" due to rabies.
To be honest it seems like he was still in his senses. He jumped out of joy when you called him and came running towards you inspite of immense suffering. It's heartbreaking to see his condition.
He was gonna bite but his original senses was loving his owner and so he ran because of instincts but sick at the same time so it was like a suicidal bomb he could not control his anger but loved his owner at the same time very sad
Man I've had a little puppy, she was about 2 months old and unfortunately she was suffering from rabies. Broke my heart when I saw her doing the exact same thing over and over again, even tho I've tried everything to help her. She was in such a bad condition that she was running in circles, sometimes she was going head first into everything and she was running after me in our yard to bite me. Did not enjoy much time with her but I definitely miss her so much.
Although it might have seemed like joy, if you do get close they will absolutely attack you still. Because the virus literally highjacks the brain and causes them to.
@@leeluvslifeyea, that was just weird.. and, why the hell would someone just leave a rabid dog hanging out loose, right in an open front yard of a neighborhood? Even my friendly house dogs get hooked up or, sent out back to their fenced in area. I had a dog that used to have weird, mild seizures & looked JUST like that too.
So for anyone who doesn't want to investigate the comments here's what happened according to owner: Daughter came home from school and let the dog out on accident. He has no idea how his dog got rabies. He did distract him until authorities came and took Tico away.
@@Mr.GigaChad Rabies kills 100% of those infected. Only 29 humans have ever survived it with EXTREME medical intervention. No animal has ever survived.
Yea it seems like the owner is ignorant in more ways then one. I don't mean that in a bad way either. Its rare that a dog becomes aggressive when they encounter rabbies they just aren't aware that they are sic an for him to just leave him to fend for himself and die on the streets like he was never anything to him bothers me!
@@jcruz3114 well what the hell man you expect anybody to pick up their own dog with their bare hands as it has rabbies? Your guaranteed to die no matter what from just one bite which is scary
Man I felt that sigh at the end must of been a hard ass feeling seeing that precious boy fighting for his life looking confused as why you locked him out the house just know brotha he’s in a much better place playing running free the healthiest he’ll ever be with the orbs heaven animals rest up Tico boy your pain is no more sleep tight bud😢🙏❤️
I emphasize with you and your family for dealing with the hard and painful ordeal. I hope you and your family found peace and that Tico was taken care of properly. He was still family but in an intense amount of pain and confusion. May your rest be peaceful, sweet Tico. You seemed to have been a great family companion.
The dog died. It gets all of its shots, and still died. It escaped from the garage. The clip shows the owner calling the dog. And when the dog behavior changed, Hence he named the Title. "The Return of Tico". The last return to be precise. RIP Tico, may Tico be immortalized with this video.
He lied, the title was changed, the guy changed the title to say it had all his shots after people started pointing out that he should have had it vaxed,he didn’t and the dog payed the price
@@81crispy Just cuz he didn't mention the shots in the OG title doesn't necessarily mean he didn't have his shots. Most likely the owner DID get the dog it's shots or bought the dog years ago and came vaccinated but didn't UPDATE his shots. A common mistake made by many dog owners. Pretty sure they're supposed to get rabies vaxx updates every 3 years and it's usually a set of shots every 3 years. Missing one vaxx can be detrimental.
@@sexuallyattractedtodoorkno9586 you're correct. I didn't realize their shots needed to be updated every 3 years until my dog recently passed from distemper. It was very sad and very avoidable but I really didn't know
This is unfathomable for me… Losing your best friend is hard enough, but having it be through this kind of suffering, and on top of that, him turning against you, is the most tragic thing possible. R.I.P
Dark Comedy, meh not everyone gets it, after all the CDC has manipulated natural borne airborne rabies into... I don't want to spoil the surprise. February 2020 Acip meeting "unfinished business
Everyone who has dog pls don't be careless about doors and stuff make sure you lock up. One thing else never leave your dog outside. Everyone should know this it's not math.
Right. My heart breaks when I see that an owner is keeping their big dogs outside all hours of the day and night. It’s dangerous out there. Rabid animals, bad weather, coyotes, wolves. Anything could get them. I just couldn’t leave my furbaby outside. Alone and unprotected. 🥺😰
My neighbor had a dog on a leash outside pretty much 24/7. Forget the breed but it was one of those nearly hairless kind. Out there in winter with Temps close to single digits and snow.
Question: When did he get his last rabies booster prior to this incident? And how much time had passed between that booster and the one previous to it?
I refuse to accept that a bite from another animal would cause rabies. I personally believe that this disease could stem from the environmental pollution. Correct me if I am wrong because a saliva transmission from another dog or wild animal would not convince to believe that this is the cause of rabies. No animal would simply bite just to transmit the disease from one organism to another.
@@claudiaarmah2389 What rock have you been living under? Rabies is a lyssavirus that attacks the central nervous system, causing encephalitis that completely alters the behavior of the victim, causing the victim to become uncontrollably violent in 80% of cases. It also uses saliva as a reservoir, triggering hypersalivation, and using aggression to spread itself. When infected saliva gets into a bite, the virus travels along the nerves to the brain, where it incubates and starts to take over. Once symptoms begin, the disease is 100% fatal in animals and very nearly 100% fatal in humans. 59,000 people are killed by rabies every year, 99% of them because of dog bites, and only 29 people have ever survived--all within the last 15 years. Most of them have permanent disabilities, with the only known exceptions being young children with greater brain elasticity. Bats are the originators of lyssavirus, and harbor many species, some of which are clinically indistinguishable from common rabies, but are also rarer and harder to transmit. For example, Australian bat lyssavirus can only be transmitted by a bat, because it can't effectively colonize other species to spread itself in their saliva (at least not at this time). But a bat can pass it along in just a mild scratch. Some lyssaviruses are harmless to humans, or are at least survivable, and the ones that do affect us are generally responsive to the rabies vaccine. Some include a furious phase for which the virus family is named, and some, like Mokola virus, do not, resembling paralytic rabies instead (the more merciful form of rabies that occurs 20% of the time).
That’s exactly what I was thinking too. I was bitten on the calf by a clients chihuahua/Pom mix and she swore up and down he was present on his vaccinations but when she provided documentation, the pup was several months out of date.
You mentioned in the video title that he has “all his shots too”, but was he UPDATED with his rabies vaccine? Pet animals need to be vaccinated every 3 years with the rabies vaccine. So just because your dog had all his shots doesn’t mean he was updated with his shots, which is why he was infected to begin with.
He lied, when I first commented that wasn’t in the title,he edited the title after people started pointing out the fact that he should have had the dog vaxed
Imagine this: Your best friend that you have loved, gets rabies, it is outside drooling a lot. Then when you call their name, it still responds to the name….. I feel so bad for your loss and the dog looked like a good pup, Rest in Peace.
Seeing your buddy like this must be very painful man i can't imagine how heartbreaking it is to see your pet succumb to the disease and slowly and painfully die RIP Tico
Well it's the owner's dog and he was trying to check up on it I'm sure he knew it had rabies but I guess he was in the stages of grief and had denial that the dog had rabies until it ran up to him Rabies will take out any house animal you have which is annoying
Awww sorry to hear about this. Where are you all located? Here in the states we get rabies shots when they turn at least 4 months. Both my dogs have rabies shots so this can never happen 😢
Even with shots, if they possibly exposed, they need a booster. They also need shots every couple years. He could have been unknowingly exposed by a small bite or licking the saliva of a rabid animal on an object. And if you didn't know the dog was exposed and didn't get the booster, a dog could definitely get rabies, albeit rare.
this video’s gonna bring me to tears man. jesus christ. the way tico has to see his owner separating him through the glass .. just awful. poor poor baby.
Canine distemper presents like that also as can neurotoxins. I really hope this dog was taken in and properly diagnosed because if it was rabies, letting it continue to roam put the community at risk. Very sad.
Im not doubting but why would he get Rabies if he had all his shots? And why is he roaming free in what looks like a public area? Im sorry for your loss, that must have been extremely hard to deal with.
Are you sure it had rabies vac ? If,he did then he should not of got rabies ,there other reasons they can look this way ,parvo , distemper,...If,it's had rabies shots I would least be sure it's not something he can be cured of before calling it rabies ,unless you left dog out and knew there wildlife that could of attack him ,even still if,he had rabies shot I wouldn't suspect rabies ...If,someone let him out I'd be really on the person who was negligent and didn't try get dog back inside and it's on them the poor dog ended up in this condition sadly .,I can't imagine seeing how the dog came and knew his name he would done that if,he didn't feel you cared about him ,so that makes me believe he knew you cared about him and he tried to come home ..The only thing that bothers me is rabies doesn't just in one day they exhibit this so poor dog had to been gone longer than a day ...
Okay after rewatching this a few times, I wonder who confirmed that the dog was rabid. Did he just return back home and you assumed he is rabid because of his saliva? There can be other reasons too. Can someone post more details please
poor baby. probably doesn’t know what’s happening, he seems so lost. cant keep control, still knows his name and wants to play with his owner. little guy is scared, i’m sure.
Doesn't matter what the dog intentions were. When a dog is rabid, they'll attack without provocation or no apparent reason. You should ALWAYS stay away from an animal if they show these classical signs of Rabies.
What’s sad is the fact that millions of dogs around the world suffered from this back before the vaccine and had to put killed because of it. even now it’s still depressing seeing a dog you once loved gain an infection that is life threatening
I am so sorry this had happened to your poor lil puppy rabbies is the worst thing to happen to animals but when it gets into dogs is just the absolute most worst and saddest thing very sorry this happened and can’t even imagine how hard this must have been for you😭😢RIP to this sweet little angle💝💞ngl I almost started crying watching this video.
The way he calmed down at the sound of your voice, then kind of perked up and ran toward you did not seem aggressive. Are you sure this was rabies? Especially considering that he was vaccinated? Shaking, twitching and salivating can be symptoms of a snake bite as well. Did the dog die?
