My rare computer and PC component collection! (And my Xeon systems!)

Here's a quick tour of my basement work area as well as my office. I also show off most of my computers and components I've collected over the years! I also show my collection of dual socket Intel Xeon systems in chronological order of production, starting with the original Slot 2 PII/PIII based system all the way up to my own system using 2011 V4.
I built all of the computers you see in this video, some involved just simple hardware upgrades, while some needed fabrication work on the chassis to even get started. I also maintain all these systems and make sure every one is in good working order!
It has also come to my attention that some of my videos got uploaded with only left channel audio. I found this to be an issue with my Huawei P30 Pro and it's strange configuration that involves it recording videos and playing sound on a single mono channel. Why this phone was designed this way is beyond me, but a couple extra steps later and we can now watch with proper stereo audio. The future is NOW!
Enjoy!

That's a sweet collection! By the way, a good idea for your records is to get frames from Ikea and put some film in it so you don't end up damaging the covers from sunlight.

Thank you! And that is a great idea as well, on this wall they actually do not get any direct sunlight which is great because I know how bad things can fade lol

Awesome collection. I got obsessed with having every version of ASRock's Z77 and X79 boards and now obsessed with ASUS X99 boards. I have a few of the X79 and X99 dual CPU Chinese boards too. What kept me on X79 was my love of blinkenlights and I love the Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR3 kits because they're the only RAM from the era that had true activity LEDs based on electrical activity unlike everything in the DDR4 era; Corsair has some need electrical activity RAM LED for DDR2 though. But going to update my main PC for X299 soon. I'm using a single proc i7-6950X and I just want a bit more processing power. I've toned down my active systems though. So I have this main one and two dual CPU ASUS boards in Rosewill 4U chassis; mostly functioning as NAS's and Blender rendering farms.

Nice collection as well! X99 still kicks a ton of ass IMO, I do love the tracer ram, I have the 3x4gb ddr3 set as well as a ddr2 2x1gb I believe, not sure if I mentioned that in this video, its in my EP45X system

@@dom80TA it's extremely rare, I've never seen it available but articles show it but Crucial also made DDR1/DDR500(?)/PC4000 184 pin Ballistix Tracer kits with all black pcbs and heatsinks. I would love to add that to my old school Gigabyte i-RAM GC-RAMDisk drive! Wish I could go back in time and buy them.

@@CheapSushi That is so cool, love those RAMdrives too, never had one myself, no idea there was DDR1 tracer, although I never really see hi-po ddr1 regardless lol. Ive had some of the heavy copper sink OCZ but thats about it lol

@@dom80TA thanks, is it possible to moove the front panel om the metal side of the case ?
@dom80TA
@dom80TA 4 месяца назад
@@Acc3l3ratoR You possibly could, I somewhat remember the manual for these explaining it, even if a bit of modification was required. its kind of strange having the usual front mount buttons on the side but I like it, also these are super compact cases and work quite well
