If you wanna put it that way, thank Alex. He sent Izzy to the shadow realm. So he switched to MMA because it was his first time being sent out on a stretcher 🗿
11:13 alex was upset he had to hit him while he was down. the difference between the respect and care he has for jiri compared to the way he looks at jamal hill is insane. when jamal beat glover the fucking look poatan gave jamal was like death. jamal disrespected alex leading up to the fight and continues to do so I really think alex still wants to beat up hill lol. knowing alex in a month he will be training jiri
alex said that it was because hill acted friendly and respectful backstage and then in front of the cameras at the press conference started disrespecting him,not because hill beat glover.
Can't believe they talked ypu into fighting Shavkat when Usman was wanting the match up with you. That win would've put you in a great spot but hey it's not over til it's over. Hope your next fight is a main event. You deserve that imho🤙
At 205 this is not a fair fight cause the size and strenght difference between a well hydrated Alex and the Izzy that fought Jan is night and day 🤷🏽♂️ I would love to see them collab and do stuff together cause their rivalry gave us more than we could have asked for and their mma results ending 1-1 is pretty cool for sure Chama 🔥🗿
I want to see Alex move up to heavyweight but I don't want to see him lose. Or else he might end up like Volk who takes too many fights and gets beat up at higher weightclass
From what his coach says it sounds like they want to defend for a while at LHW before moving up. He’ll probably gradually bulk up in the meantime and keep cutting more and more weight to get to 205 if I had to guess.
I liked the breakdowns. I agree Jiri looked like he was inside his own head. The teep-kick to the body from the southpaw stance seemed to confuse the heck out of him. Made me wonder if his camp's adjustment to the calf-kicks was just "switch southpaw," and when the liver kicks started landing, he had no response but to switch orthodox again.
Thank god I was introduced to Stephen wonderboy Thompson him and the strikers are my favourite types of martial artists 6ft perfectly built for 170 lbs if you was in your prime your champion for a long run ❤ur style…..
WONDERBOY!!! MUCH LOVE AND RESPECT BRO!!! I HAVE A SMALL CHANNEL THAT FOCUSES ON STRUGGLE AND REDEMPTION. I INTERVIEW FIGHTERS. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO HAVE YOU ON SIR!!!
Alex Pereira will dominate the heavyweight division I think 🤔 that's his plan, there's no one like him to been only in the UFC for just three years and achieve what he has thus far, for sure he's fighting now within range of heavyweight. Examining his techniques is mind boggling and mind blowing for sure not anyone like him.
To think Alex was winning while doing the Drunken master early in his career is crazy and now he’s so much better and looks like he still improving truly scary 🔥chama
Funny that he once called WB out because he wanted to prove he was the best striker in the WW division. Safe to say Ian's abandoned that quest. Fair play to him though.
I don’t think jiri looked bad. I think Alex is just getting better. I think he is more comfortable with wrestling now from training 24/7 that he isn’t afraid of the grappling. He also has more weight and can take shots better. He could definitely do heavyweight.
Jiri wasn't landing in the 1st fight either. Most of the strikes in the stats didn't actually land. If you rewatch and take a closer look, you'll notice it. He was rolling with the punches and moving backwards to bait him. You can see right before the left hook the change in his body language and timing. Next thing you know boom* left hook.
DC said it on Good Guy Bad Guy, we should do a super fight MSG November jones/stipe winner of blade/aspinall faces Alex as main and comain for the heavyweight strap and interim. Then make those guys fight. 🤯🤯
I truly believe that cut to 185 was hell on earth for him, at 205 he looks way more full and healthy. I’m sure at 205 he could crush all the competition. He is definitely a beast and Izzy has definitely become “I beat that guy one time”
If Perreria beats Magomed A then absolutely he should go to HW. Has potential to beat literally anybody if he keeps the fight standing. And he isn't exactly easy to take down lately thanks to Glover T. Besides Wonderboy himself Alex's striking is best in UFC. IMHO.
yoooo I'm barely a minute into the video but I was questioning with a friend which pro fighters also play SF6... I knew about mighty mouse but now Wonderboy too? hype, what was the tournament?
Pereira definitely looks like he could still add some muscle mass. I think he could take on Gane if he put on an extra 20-30lbs. Jon Jones though... I dunno.. Jon Jones is just too well rounded of a fighter and always manages to pull it off no matter what his performance looks like. I definitely could see Pereira giving him one of his hardest fights though, and you never know, with that left hook he could put anyone to sleep if he hits them flush.
I got the impression that Jiri was too focused on not getting his legs kicked that he was unable to in his normal style which dropped all the tools that he used to get to the top
I think Alex should fight Magomed Ankalaev. Because if he can handle Magomeds grappling then he could probably win at heavyweight. Because if he fights Jon or Tom I think they are just going to take him down. But that’s just my opinion. Maybe he’s good enough to stop their grappling right now.
If he gets to be triple champ it would be the Biggest thing to happen in any combat sports . What a cash cow for the UFC way bigger than anything Conner or Jon jones related.out with the old in with the NEW!!!
He's nearing the end of his career. So does he make easy work of the rest of the current roster and make some money? Or become the legendary first TRIPLE champ? It's hard to tell. If he moves up and gets beat, that'll hurt his legacy.
If he stays at 205 and loses it’ll hurt his legacy and prevent him from getting a title shot at HW. On the other hand if he moves up and loses he can still try to defend his LHW strap. Moving up asap is best risk vs reward
I wanna see Alex beat up a couple more LHWs and then go to HW. HW is so stagnant right now, he literally has nothing to gain by moving up. After Jones retires, I'd love to see him move up
If Jon Jones is going to lose I think it would be to Pereira and/or Aspinall. Would I be shocked if Jones won? Not at all. Eventually age/injuries/burnout/partying/whatever catch up to everyone. I question Jon more at this current age than Alex. Jones has had lots of time off for extended periods and not been in the best of shape of his life at times in recent years. If he were to come in overconfident or not 100% for what ever reason, Alex could catch him with a hook or a knee or a head kick from nowhere. I have a feeling Aspinall beats them both. Still, wouldn't be shocked if I were wrong either.
Poatan has been unbelievable and added so much to the ufc. What a signing. The big BUT is that he hasnt really faced a dominant wrestler. I know it was at 185 and their first fight and poatan has gotten much better with grappling, but izzy got him to the ground and smashed him one round, so imagine what jon jones would do if he took him down. Id be worried about heavy weight and him not being big enough to stop the big boys just leaning on him against the cage and grappling him and wearing him down.
There's no big BUT. There are no Wrestlers in the top 10 of LHW or MW. If not fighting one means that there's a "but" then we'll have to apply it to everyone, not just Alex.
@@jayn6943 100% I'd apply that to anyone. It'd be like a striker being absolutely dominant in featherweight like poatan has been at mw and lhw but having fought mostly strikers who don't like to grapple. And people asking if they could go to lightweight and fight Islam. There would be a big BUT, and rightly so.
Apparently the only way to build a viable opponent for jones is for him to come up in a different division nobody beats jones It’s fun to talk about Dude was born a beast Two Super Bowl winning brothers And they aren’t the impressive ones in the family
The mvp fight showed me that wonderboy could DEFINITELY beat Garry… where I thought Ian was to big now I know it wouldn’t matter… wonderboy was better at grappling and defense then mvp… and striking Ian stands no chance. The size is the only thing that gives wonderboy problems.
