@@kimfabritiusdetengnagel2038 Yes but I would prefer the version with real (grand) piano like in The day that the brakes down, becouse this keyboard sound is a bit muddy and flat.
Filmed in her home studio during the peak of the pandemic Several others as well, all phenomenal. Including Disney covers from Frozen for her daughter.
Every song she sings becomes HER song. I have no desire to hear anyone else sing...she is utterly amazing. Just wait until you hear Agape (pronounced Ah-ga-peh), or The Phantom of the Opera, or Mama. In fact you have dozens of Floorgasms yet to come and I envy you that. This woman changed my life and I will always be grateful to her for that.
Actually, this song was covered by Heart. It was The composed by Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly, who recorded it under the name i-Ten on their 1983 album Taking a Cold Look. It was later recorded by actress Valerie Stevenson and actor John Stamos on the original soundtrack of the CBS sitcom Dreams in 1984. American rock band Heart covered it on their 1987 album Bad Animals, and this version reached number one in the US and Canada, thus becoming the best known version. Love, love, love Floor’s interpretation, ( as I do with everything she does). Keep exploring and sharing.
Great reaction. She sings like she swallowed a choir full of angels. I was never big on covers either until I started listening to Floor. No matter what the genre she takes it to a new level. Check out her performances on Beste Zangers when you get a chance.
Wow...I'm so glad u introduced this song to us!....she brings such deep emotion right outta the gates. And I love that you can still hear enough of the original in her cover to make it nostalgic...nostalgic but new...& so much emotion. BEAUTIFUL! Thanks Angel!:)
Floor resignifies it, makes it even more emotional to infinity and appropriates this classic theme from the '80s by the Wilson sisters singing with from the soul and with the heart in hand, giving 100% as it does in each performance . Angel; in a next future reaction I hope you will check out Floor's cover of "Adagio" from Lara Fabian's version; it is a GEM !!!
Floor has done this a couple of times before. This version is the most mature of them. It's very powerful, but also quite vulnerable. The grand piano is provided by her long time friend and collaborator Joost van den Broek (After forever, Ayreon). 😎👍
I´m a sponge and Floor wrings out every iota of emotion within me. She is the only one that does that to me. Truly one of a kind. Beautiful reaction :)
Angel your reactions to Floor and Nightwish are must watch....just watching you get lost in her vocals and presence gets me every time ......she does alone live with her first band After Forever ...Floor Jansen Alone A Metal christmas .....its really good .
Great reaction dear! This is way she's known as a goddess, or The Valkyrie. The queen or not human... I think all of the above fit her. Great reaction!
She can sing all .but, in a interview, she say, not french Rap. Hope, french Rapper, she never want do it for you hihi 😅 After then, you looking for a new Job.🤘
Floor has the ability to get us to connect with the song on a deeper emotional level. She becomes the song. The first time I listened to her sing it I wanted to reach out to comfort her. Her high notes were like a lonely plaintive cry.
Floor is amazing at making a song her own. Loved your reaction Angel. So many more wonderful solo performances to experience. Floor just released a new one last week. It is called "Agape", it is pretty amazing. be sure to turn on the cc for the lyrics.
Hello Angel! Congratulations on your first 2K (... and counting ...) subscribers to your splendid channel and thank you for another memorable, emotional and genuine video reaction; your body expression and your gestures are truly incredible and your charisma goes beyond the screen !!! xo
...Floor has made/sang many great solo covers and other music, not with Nightwish alone, but also with her other bands anfmd collaborations. You might like also e g. Ayreon's "Valley of the Queens" with Floor and 2 other epic metal ladies, "Sweet Curse" with Simone from Epica, Oblivion - M83... etc. 🤗
Hi Angel. I suggest to go to other bands and both are featured by loor Jansen The bands are Evergrey with In Orbat and the other one is Northward with whilelove died. I'm almost sure you gonna love it
Floor did a similar version years ago with her first band After Forever that got the attention of Ann Wilson. She commented on how good the singer was. But this version is so much more polished.
I appreciate that you alternate between Nightwish songs (huge, epic masterpieces) and Floor stripped down, just sitting and singing into a microphone at her home. If that doesn't give one an appreciation for what she's truly capable of, I don't know what will. I know this next comment will be off topic a bit, but if you get a chance to react to a group called Liliac, I would really enjoy hearing your thoughts. Have a great weekend ma'am.
Check out Phantom of the Opera with Hank Port on Besta Zangers European TV /professional singer competition. I hope I describe that correctly. I’ve said it before I’m old and can say it again. Floor could sing me instructions for cooking dinner in the microwave and I wouldn’t have to add water because I’d be crying so hard. She’s magical. You have a deep journey from being in her first band At 17, After Forever, to her own band Revamp ( she wrote a lot of the music), check out Graspop 2010, any songs Revamp dose but a few suggestions, Distain, Trial of Monsters or Millions is a good start. Rock On Stay Safe!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🇺🇸
I know you said that you usually prefer the original version so I guess you didn't realise that Heart was also a cover version of this Peter Steinberg song which he released in 1983. Heart covered it in 1987
🤘🇫🇮 Nightwish army Finland 🇫🇮🤘 Her and Nightwish fanbase "Nightwish Army" shows well what kind of of Mother, singer, songwriter she is and what kind of band Nightwish is😃
Dear dear lady. I saw your emotions cristal clear. You are not afraid to express them, courage enough, I -a Dutch male 81 years old- admire you. Stay healthy dear lady and I wish you all the luck.
You can’t hear Floor Jansen without having a “Floorgasm”!! As a Classically trained vocalist I can attest to the fact that it is very hard to sing sitting down. Floor has the most incredible vocal & breath control! You can tell she is very well trained and her students are very very lucky to have her as their coach.
Floor Jansen is a true gift to this world. She could sing an entire phone book and I would enjoy it!!! 🤘❤ You really need to check out her cover of Lara Fabian's "Adagio". ❤🔥
She is the all time Olympic champion of Versatile Voices and should be next to the old Greek gods. By the way, another stunning performance, How's the heart acoustic (Planet Rock)
Floor is unique .. the capacity of telling/singing you a song and touch your soul ... one of the few who have the same passion whit tell you a song is Beth hart ... like Floor she is going 130% for it ...... maybe a suggestion for YOU ;Beth Hart - Am I The One - Live at Paradiso OR Beth & Joe - I'd Rather Go Blind
Btw, she had covered this song with her first band(After Forever) when she was only about 20 years old, and Ann Wilson had commented on that. Personally, I can't listen to any other singer, no matter the genre, only Floor.
Hi again hope u ok it steve in uk .huge nightwish fan got all cds dvds rareities .yes floor can sing anything rock pop metal also slow songs even growl .tho csn u please react to nightwish wishmaster live with tarja turunen there ex vocalist .thank you .hope you good .great reaction
Hi Angel D If you loved this I'm sure you'd love Sandi Thom's semi acoustic version of "Alone" from 2013, She's a beautiful Scottish singer very under-rated in my opinion Anyway All the best Jim, Surrey, England X
This vulnerable song, a cry from a hopeful but still lonely heart, sung by a remarkable singer, yes. By an empath... Well, that's the story also told in a somewhat different way... I guess one must be a dead person not to respond.
Did I see a little drop of salty water in the corner of your eye...?? 😢 I shure have some "man-sweat" (NOT TEARS) comming from my eyes every time I hear this one from her. Much Love to you 💙💛💙
Hi Angel D! 🤘 So nice that you make an reaction from this song, i like the original version from Hurt but Floor sings this song so beautiful, she always put the songs she covers on another level. She make the songs to her own and at the end from this song i always get goosebumps. There is something in her voice...... . It's so nice that there are some more cover songs on Floors channel to react for you, like "Adagio" from Lara Fabian, "Oblivion" from M83 what is the title song from the same named movie with Tom Cruise, or her Duet with Henk Poort from the song "The Phantom of the opera", i'm looking forward for that reaction from you, can't wait for it! 😉 But there are some more songs on her channel. I always like and enjoy your reactions and i think you did it really well and you are always so nice! I like your smile so much! I wish you a beautiful weekend and see you next time. 🖤 Bye! 🖤
This one was an experience, for sure. Now, I prefer the Heart version still, but this cover was just so gorgeous that I don't mind hearing it (who would mind hearing Floor sing, I ask you)
You´ll soon notice it´s impossible to be ready when it comes to Floor, no matter what kind of song she sings she always hit you in the feels, it´s just impossible to resist. You can find some who can hit even higher notes or is better at this or that, but they don´t bring the "onion ninjas" like she does.
Once you’ve heard Floor sing you’re on top of what a human can take in….after that, hearing anyone else sing it’s just always….mehh. Floor is just perfection in the sense of the human capabilities to sing.
You are absolutely correct, as talented and great as Floor is, she is the best I have ever seen or heard, she is the sweetest and coolest person you ever met.
You are simply right - Floor captures your emotions, and carry them carefully through the song, never letting them go before you are home safe. She is phenomenal - and you enjoyed the ride. 👍🤘🤘
You should react to Lara Fabian singing Je Suis Malade live version with French and English subtitles. She has sold over 30 million records Worldwide yet is barely known here in the United States. Belgian born and now lives in Canada she sings in 8 languages ( French, English, Italian, Spanish, Flemish, German, Greek and Russian) and is fluent in French, English, Italian and Spanish, She has an incredible voice, and gives a very emotional performance to the point that it takes her almost a minute to pull herself back out of the song after finishing, She is a remarkable artist.
Nancy Wilson: Alone is my song! Floor: Oh, it was, was it? Yeah. Floor is beyond imitation when she does covers. She makes everything her own. She also did the songs from Frozen and Frozen 2. Let It Go and Into the Unknown. Worth checking out.
Floor is amazing, no surprise here; and I'm a huge fan - BUT - whereas she easily and authoritatively made Tarja's Nemo (hint, hint;-) and Gaga's Shallow her own, this song will ALWAYS belong to the Wilson girls.
Hi Angel, great reaction video!!! Floor could sing... mary had a little lamb and the whole world would have a Floorgasm. Hope your doing well. Until next time have a great rest of the week and weekend!!!🌹🌹🌹🌹
