For someone that finally gave up somewhere after Saru's homeworld, will this review mean anything and how did you actually put yourself through almost 5 years more of this toddler scribble?!
I got to where I couldn’t even watch reviews. It’s too painful to think about this atrocity calling itself Star Trek. Go watch something good to heal your soul!
PLEASE, you, and EVERYONE, if you haven't already, embrace the One True Only God YHWH Jehovah, Only One Jesus Christ His Only Begotten Son and Lord and Savior of our souls and the Only One Holy Spirit. God is good. God is love. Jesus is Lord. Jesus IS coming. Your soul depends on it! I have seen God act in my life. He saved my soul, changed my heart, changed my mind, helped people through me, took care of people in my life, people I hurt before I found God. God is the only reason I was able to reconcile with my dad before he died. God worked through Jesus Christ to save our souls. Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins. Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and that God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved. Be baptized in The Holy Spirit, and if He wills, water as well. Repent of your sins, accept God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit into your heart, that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins. For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son Jesus Christ, that all who believe on Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus Christ is The Way, The Truth and The Life. No one comes to the Father Jehovah God but through Him. Not long after I got saved I prayed to God for help understanding the Holy Bible, and that same day someone knocked on my door asking me if I wanted to understand the Bible. The Holy Bible says, "love thy enemy", "turn the other cheek", "If your enemy is hungry, feed him", "if he is thirsty, give him a drink", "pray for those who persecute you", "do not repay evil for evil". LORD willing, all humans may commit sin of almost every kind (gay, straight), and that's wrong, and all humans sin, as God tells us through the The Holy Bible, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." The Holy Bible also says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
Basically. I watch the channel to confirm my quitting after the two pilot episodes. Nothing I saw made me want to watch one more minute of the actual show. Just lulcow fun.
They're showing you the number one rule in Hollywood: doesn't matter how shitty your movie is, as long as you get paid enough to buy a house in the end!
Wait, they brought a shuttle down to Burnham's house so they could beam the person there? Why not just use the transporter up from orbit? Or just beam in from another place from......" Oh, wait. This is STD, where 32nd-century technology becomes convenient for writers who don't exist.
@joshuacalkins jàrjar Abrams was the first stage. To get ppl used to this idea of rewiting history. It's classic communism. Just look at chekov in TOS. Ffs how many times did he claim Russians invented the telephone
It was always designed to fail. Egotistical of the 'correct' persuasion were put in charge. Holy wood serves Canada since the 90s. Just like with the latest con called tesla Corp. Will ppl not realize communism is bad ? They require history and steal from the people. Just life progressives Even back with
@@glytchd I see what you are saying, and partly agree, but stand by my claim that everything after STBeyond has been MUCH worse, (with the exception of the decent 3rd season of the horrible STP). There’s no denying that what began with JJ’s trilogy has become Kurtzman’s abomination, so it’s a muddled mess to nail down when the floor fell out beneath the whole franchise. As a one-off episode, movie, or even a trilogy, I don’t mind a parallel universe story. They inherently acknowledge that this is not the one true history, but a distinctly different one, so while I don’t want the original stories to be abandoned in favor of the Kelvin movies, I can appreciate that they are in their own space, so to speak. It’s the modern shows which are rewriting the continuity of hundreds of hours of Trek, claiming to be in the same reality while consistently contradicting everything from basic science and trek technology to the histories and personalities of well known characters, not to mention the well established tones and themes. The trilogy is “alternate trek”, but the new shows are “anti-trek.” I do appreciate your comments about Chekov and communism.
It's ironic. I go back, and watch episode of earlier trek shows that I hated, as well as stories from Doctor Who that the actors portrayals of the Doctor I didn't particularly like..it's 1000% percent better than this garbage currently being put out.
The issue with the Enterprise finale is that it was all a simulation. It should have been Daniels having to pull Riker into the past to protect the start of the Federation.
About STD in general Yesterday, September 24, 2017-a date which will live in infamy-the Star Trek franchise was suddenly and deliberately attacked by stupid and illogical writers of the Empire of Klutzman. The Star Trek Franchise was at peace with that Nation and, at the solicitation of Klutzman, was still in conversation with its Government and its Emperor looking toward the maintenance of peace in the Silver Screen. Indeed, one hour after Klutzman's on air squadrons had commenced trashing the Star Trek Franchise, the Klutzman Ambassador to the Star Trek Franchise and his colleague delivered to our Secretary of State a formal reply to a recent fandom message. And while this reply stated that it seemed useless to continue the existing diplomatic negotiations, it contained no threat or hint of war or of armed attack. No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the Star Trek fandom in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory. I believe that I interpret the will of the Trekkers and of the Trekkies when I assert that we will not only defend ourselves to the uttermost but will make it very certain that this form of treachery shall never again endanger us. Hostilities exist. There is no blinking at the fact that our values, our franchise, and our interests are in grave danger. With confidence in our fans-with the unbounding determination of our people-we will gain the inevitable triumph-so help us Roddenberry. I ask that the Fandom declare that since the unprovoked and dastardly attack by Klutzman on Sunday, September 24, 2017, a state of war has existed between the Star Trek Franchise and the Klutzman Empire.
I'm just waiting to see if Mike and Rich from Red Letter Media cover the final episode. And the funny thing is, that video will probably get more views than the final episode of "Discovery" did
If Mike really wants to torture Rich Evans, he'll do that. But then again, that means he would have to watch it too and it's too painful for him to watch.
Almost expected a GoT ending: "and aftr all, who got a story at all, other than Michael fucking Burnham? What are even all these other people's names? Honestly, I think they're just extras."
what i always wondered was when voyager got thrown into the delta quadrant....the crew wanted nothing more then to go home. Yet discoery gets thrown into the future....everyone they knew is dead, the federation theyknew was almost destroyed thanks to some kdis temper tantrum causing the "burn", Yet no one seemed to want to find a way to return to their time?
Indeed. And we know that there are several ways to travel back in time. Forbidden or not, who cares. However, the lack of natural reaction is a recurring thing in Disco. Even in the greatest danger the bridge crew reacts as if they had forgotten a shopping list or to close a window at home, nothing more.
Hoooo, man. I’m probably more lenient on STD than most folks, but for sure, that’s at least one thing I will always roast about this show. The Burn occurred, and millions of people died,….because some kid cried. Hated it. Hated. It.
Surely the best moment in the episode was Burnham doing narration about how some people are good at this and some people are good at that and some people learn from their mistakes and then they show Raynor yelling.
there is no "explaining" them. they don't care about star trek, they just made their own crap, and then the backlash was so great they caved and made it slightly less garbage in that one specific way, then even more garbage in other ways. That's the explanation, they didn't give a fck.
When DS9 ended there was a montage of almost all the cast. I think Sisko wasn't even there. DS9 was an ensemble show. But STD's montage is just Michael saying goodbye to everyone.
The tone was completely different too. Sisko not being there was a tragedy. Sisko and Jake never got to say goodbye and the episode ends with Jake longing for a father that might never return. Odo wasn't there either, he'd never see any of them again. Garak probably blew his brains out off screen. Even Bashir and O'Brien were getting split up. It wasn't a happy ending at least not like this.
@@achimwokeschtla7582 As Sisko aptly put it to the Prophets, "You call yourselves gods, then be gods!" Anything but Sisko saving the day would have completely shat on the themes the show had been building up for for 7 years. Anything else would have been the kind of subversion that modern day TV writers on Game of Thrones, Rings of Power idolize, the kind of shit you'd get in STD.
Using the name Stat Trek, to pump out FIVE seasons of some of the worst written stories I'VE EVER SEEN on television. I don't like one character on that show, not one.
She's hugging all the bridge crew in the end 😭. Too bad she doesn't know anybody's name. Terrible captain, terrible show. Good bye you won't be missed, or remembered.
Spoiler Alert, obvioulsy 🙈. I´m stil mad & confused that they even screwed up this story line. In 6x20 TNG: "The Chase" they clearly state that their lifes evolved BEFORE everyone else in the galaxy, bascially the first ones (kinda similiar to Babylon 5) and suddenly in Discovery they are just another race who "found" the technology from an even older race... [Picard does his facepalm] and i know.. we could pretend that they came from another galaxy, lets say Andromeda, but this just feels so wrong for this particual story arc. Ps.: Don´t get me wrong, i was actually really exicted when i heard and saw the original scenes from TNG in Discovery and i was like, "whowowow, this huge discovery from TNG finally gets the attention" but the season end / final episode(s) just felt wrong and rushed ... ps ps.: Another awesome video Admiral General Major Grin, like in LOTR, with the 5 endings ^^
the true end of STD's final episode is to have the final scene be William Shatner waking up in his desk chair with a shock, then look down at an empty bottle of Jack Daniels and go "Im never drinking again... that was horrifying."
Ive hated disco since the first day in 2017 but man I didn’t expect this series finale to be one of the biggest jaw dropping eyes burning amount of terribleness I have ever seen before
More like it would be revealed that Burnedham was the source of all life in the universe instead. Would be fitting for the sheer f*cking hubris this show had.
Hey I have theory, I think in distand future she become entity such as entity in Star trek V. and travel back in time however end up in somwhere else where she hope for, so she use one of hers brothers to lure starship in order to bring her back xD.
In fairness to Mary Wiseman (Tilly's actress for those who may not know), I looked up some info about her and discovered that she was married in 2019 and divorced in 2023. It was obviously a bad marriage since it ended in divorce, and I can easily see something like that contributing to weight gain and just overall poor health. Mary Wiseman and Sonequa Martin-Green are the same age, yet Martin-Green looks far healthier than Wiseman.
Husband: "Please eat less! You are very fat! It's not healthy!" Wife: "How dare you! You are misogynist! Burnham supports me!" Husband: "Time for a divorce then" 😂
First trek show I switched off and stop watching, thank god Orville was around to show how it should have been done. It wasn’t as bad as Picard as that destroyed charters I was into, I never really got into std. amazed it got 5 seasons, would love to know viewing figures for each season.
So uhh, all those people are still 900 years in the future from their families, that they so easily left behind for little reason and none of them went back? Okay. Also, having someone 900 years out of date heading a teaching instituion seems pretty dumb to me. So glad I left after S2.
You should add that we would also be forced to watch the "Short Treks" to understand the ending and why Zora is sent alone for 1000 years. Worst ending ever-they don't even give me the chance to understand it without promoting other shows.
like a third of the show was this broad crying I'd say something about STD being a low point for the franchise, except their next new release will likely prove me wrong...
I guess no one told the CGI department that they didn't have to make 25%+ different deer too. Also, it looks like The Mikey show ended as it began --- all about Diverse Female Space Jesus. At least no one will be talking about this show 30, 20, 10, or even 5 years from now like we all do actual Star Trek, actual Sci fi, and actual good television.
we did it boys, we survived nutrek. the plague is over. no more discovery, no more saving the whole entire galaxy every season by mutineer turned captain michael burnham, no more pointless and almost canon breaking short treks, we’re done. it’s like… breathing in a breath of fresh air after being suffocated for 7 long years by this nutrek cancer. live long and prosper fellow real trekkies 🖖🏻
Kurtzmann is still doing the Section 31 movie, and the Starfleet Academy show which will be a follow up to Discovery... they will keep raping the corpse of Star Trek until there is nothing left. Thank God for the Orville.
They had a black man, Walter Mosely, who was a real writer. Michelle Paradise and the rest of the coven sent him to HR and got him fired before he could even start work. It was for using THE word (yeah, that one) in context in a story about corrupt police. He put an open letter in Variety(?) to tell his side.
So sad saying goodbye, but glad to see them all still happily living, still alive. Would have been better if the Breen had been eating them in the last scene. A show that shat on the very ethos of Star Trek , its heritage, and perhaps its legacy. Contrived storylines, bad writers, atrocious actors, none of whom knew Star Trek. Star Trek had/has depth, it told thought provoking intelligent stories, some are complex that left you thinking, wondering… Opening your mind, not patronising you and asking moral questions, cleverly and gentley.
That's a very long time. In TNG, Picard mentioned one of his instructors to Wesley that was still teaching at the Academy (that's minimum 30 years, if not more).
Next generation ep 20 from season 6 “the chase” dragged out to 10 tedious eps of STD! Jesus so boring and waste of money! 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
The Star Trek Facebook comments are filled with people, the ones who love the crying and terrible stories lashing out at people who just don't get how Discovery lasted so long. As I always say, grateful for it's existence as it led into Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks....but other than that, I can't watch it because the writing is poor and so much doesn't make any sense.
Never have I seen such self serving, grandiose bs in a tv show, finally ended but obviously it couldn’t just piss off quietly. Everyone has to hug and reminisce, congratulate themselves, especially Burnham. I love how the people who did like this show, are now forever convinced that this is how you write a main character.
If there's ANYBODY in the comments who hasn't seen the Lord of the Rings trilogy, please go watch it. It's so much better than ANYTHING that's coming out today.
Warp speed into the essence of all that is Star Trek: explosions, war, greed, cruelty, backstabbing, bureaucracy, and everyone's favorite corruption all day long across the universe baby why would they ever end it!!!
I'm just imagining the real ending is finding out it was all a sci-fi deviant-art story written by some "woke tween" in their 30s whos pronouns are Jupiter. She's trying to submit the story to be printed by some magazine/blog that is now run by an older Benny Russell. His looks up slowly from the pages of this abomination as he tosses it in the trash. "Dear god, maybe that old racist guy had a point...." Then it smash cuts to a scene of the casket star trek is burried in, spins up an spore jumps through the looney toons logo. Little cartoon worf in a top hat pops out "tee-ta-tee-yee-Today WAS a good day to die folks"
Then Major Grin hopped on a boat to Heaven while his platonic boyfriend went off to marry a big girl with big hair.... Oh, hey, Tilly. And no one ever had any complaints about Star Trek ever again. The End.
