My reading routine: 1. Grab a book 2. Sit down 3. Read

Do you know the worst thing about reading? Keeping the thing open without breaking the spine

i tried to read in the bathtub once... didn't end up as planned... My book fell into the water. Bye, bye Red Queen...

same! I can only read in a quiet place and I like to wear comfortable clothes while reading too! I love to read on my sofa or bed :)

I read before bed mostly too. I've also started reading at work between appointments. I've recently discovered that snacking helps me from falling asleep too soon when I'm all cuddled up in bed while reading....so I try to have a little something ready to go if I'm wanting to stay up later to read!

Your Chai Tea coffee concoction is fantastic, and Goldfish are the greatest snack. I like to have classic music on when I read. It clears the room easily for me, and blocks out surrounding noise. It gives my brain some undistracting background noise. I am such a bad tub reader, it is not a skill of mine to kudos to you!

Ooh, this was so interesting! I actually have two opposite reading 'routines' one is quite like yours- snuggled up in bed, with a cup of tea at night in pyjamas with no sounds whatsoever. Yet when I use the bus (pretty much everyday) the service into town and back home can either go the long way round or the shorter way round, so I always get the longer route and I have music playing in my earphones whilst I read ( I get quite a lot of reading done on it). I also like to read in the bath too, especially in autumn and winter, I have candles, relaxing music, bubbles, sometimes wine, it's great!

I don't care how dumb this sounds... have you ever dropped a book in the tub?

I can't read without music. I just can't. And it has to fit the tone of the book, too, which is super annoying because if I can't find the right music, there's just no way I can start reading. I mostly listen to instrumentals though, so they don't distract me.

Ugh this made me so motivated to read! I know what you mean about the rain! It's so cozy and comfy, and I absolutely read so much when I make a routine out of it!

the thing that bothers me the most during reading is trying to keep the book open with my fingers..

omg your dogs are sooooo adorable and cute *.* i mostly read when im out or i go out with my mom she goes on stores and i stay outside or i follow her in the store while im reading, i also read during breaks/lunch at school/french course(im not in school now,im taking french classes) i also read during class, and ont he bus when im going to the french course and coming.. i rarely read at my house bc i want to do other stuff like spend all day on the computer watching videos or movies or tv shows or netflix or going on devaintart etc.. so when i get out of the computer its already time to go to bed.. (also to reading my bed is super uncomfortable bc i have bunk bed (after a while it hurts my back when i sit)

I usually read totally randomly when it makes sense but sometimes I make big plans. For example tonight is a cozy reading night because the heat seems to have broken here. I'm going to make hot chocolate and snuggle with my cat and blanket on the couch and read.

We have the exact same routines: in bed, snuggled with the puppies, in comfy PJs, no noise. Me to a tee. Though I can`t eat or drink while reading. In fact I've gone many days without eating because I just spent the whole day in bed reading haha. But other than that we're the same!

I’m the complete opposite for reading and eating, I used to read ALL day from 9 am till like 10 pm and not eat all it became SUPER bad for my health and I became underweight so now my parents make me eat at least 2 meals a day.

I also do most of my reading in the bath haha. It's so relaxing! Then it's in bed and reading until I sleep. Sometimes I read at the computer. I nearly always read when on the bus xD

I have noise-canceling headphones and I used them mostly for blocking noise rather than listening to music.

I love Chai tea! It is loaded with caffeine so be careful if you drink it at night... Unless you want to stay up. :) I drink sleepy time tea. I love it!!

Dude you are like my soul mate! I make coffee by putting in one hot cocoa pack then I pour coffee instead of water and I add vanilla creamer or a marshmallow!!

I agree with you Zoë! I'm unable to read when people are talking, music or tv is playing or even the tinist bit of sound! It can be quite hard sometimes sadly :(

i'm the same when it comes to noise, especially voices. I tend to be focused more on who's talking that my book. that's why i love going to my schools library's quiet floor because no one is allowed to talk :)
