I’m slowly getting better and better at taiko since the mobile app came out!!! Edit: Trying to get good at songs above 5 stars on hard mode Another edit: Here’s my status on more games that I put in the replies earlier FNF: FC every single song song. Mods I’m pretty good at. Rhythm Doctor: Always get either A’s or S’s Taiko: Can play every normal mode song pretty well. Still trying to improve on hard songs above 5 stars ADOFAI: can’t get past world six :( Beat Saber: I’m so bad at this game omg Osu standard: I suck at this game too but I at least I notice some progress in skilll
Edit: I might make one video about my skill in rhythm games. But might be in chinese dub. OMG Tokaku praised me, but i dont think im super pro rhythm game player. I used to be very good in one hand gameplay, but im just a quite average skilled player (or slightly better than average player) when play with two hands. Trust me, i have my weakness, my weakness is osu which require tapping by left hand because of past injury of plying rhythm game. Still can play rhythm games with two hand but cnt tap too hard especially pc rhythm games because keyboard tapping still require more power than tapping tablet. Anyway, I used to be top player in the past. But currently I play rhythm games just because i enjoy playing. Especially Phigros which the line and notes represent the music really really well. Im actually a notecharter (mapper) which done 200+ maps in O2Jam thats why I have vry deep impression when a game can use its notes to express the music really well. I hope there there is more games in the future can do the same things. Hope the future doesnt disappoint me.
Holy SHIIIIIII the one hand god is here and he is gonna make one!!!!!!!! Be sure to have english subtitles or might do a suicidal attempt understanding And what do you say about your one hand skill? I think you are the only one doing this that got great achievements! Just like tokaku *how in the everloving FU* do aercea now :D do everything to show the everyone how to flex your one hand :D
Is it normal to encounter the "left hand" problem for right handed people when playing rhythm games, whereby you could be extremely skilled in right hand, but super awkward on left hand and the way you tap seems weird as compared to right hand?
potential is the kind of thing that will naturally go up as you get better at the game so don't worry about it too much! Just focus on having fun and improving :)
@@Aarreks not really. You try raising it by playing levels that you can't clear and it wont go up. It's actually based off of your recent plays. When you first start playing it will be very easy to raise your potential but after a while you will start to hit roadblocks until you actually either improve scores or clear level difficulties that are harder than what you normally clear. So yes, but to an extent
I started playing taiko since it was on sale for 10$ and i discovered your channel since i wanted to check which drums to get and i stalked your channel and i loved it so much! now i watch your videos daily and afraid i might run out of your videos to watch and im now currently trying to get into arcaea but its too complicated to unlock the songs >_< thank you for being the highlight of my day everyday, remain being awesome!
I'm a new IIDX player (18yo) and I'm at about the same skill level as Tokaku rn! (better accuracy tho, sorry Tokaku you said I could!) I really love it, it takes quite a bit of dedication to get better but the payoff is sooo good, and I'm a drummer that loves complex polyrhythms and shit so of course IIDX is the perfect fit for me. It's just always interesting, for now at least.
Potential to me is a really shit and inaccurate ranking system because it kinda depends on the number of songs you have, and doesn't show ACTUAL improvement
I understand what my new osu friends feel when I say sliderbreak kickslider, etc. now. I don't know what she's saying but I'm enjoying the content I guess.
When I play etterna there is always a week where I wouldn't gain any rank at all and there is that one week where I would go from an 18 to a 22 over the course of one week
I play CTB, rank #530 ish. I know you will mock me but I don't care :p. I don't feel like it is super impressive, but at the same time it has taken me almost 1,000 hours to get to this level. and you really got me thinking with this tunnel vision perception thing about skill. Who knows.
I'm not too far behind you in Arcaea, I hover around 10.75ptt and have been working on clearing through the 10's. Arcaea is probably the most invested I've been in a rhythm game, I played DDR up to 9's and Guitar Hero/Rock Band into Hard/low-Expert but I never chased FCs in those games, I would just clear whatever I could without focusing on my accuracy.
I really relate on my osu experience.. It's really hard to have fun knowing that I can't play hard maps the way I used to anymore.. (I think I strained my right hand too much that now I can't aim because my hand hurts on jumps)
Played Switch DEEMO for 550 hours only to never All Charming a single level 10. I mean, I was five off on VK collections Pure White, but "almost" doesn't really cut it, does it? I can at least forget about that now. My finger play is completely gone after destroying the touch screen, buying a new Switch and swapping to thumb play Arcaea for 400 hours to this day. A winner is me! PoG! Expendable income! Yay! At least the warehouse co workers are fascinated by me. That makes it worth the premature baldness. . . . Decay sucks
So everyone is talking about their's so why not talk about mine as well. Might join thesharing party i guess.. (Phigros) - In this game i started not too long ago. I started hell but eventually get better. Now i do level 15's getting full combo (my leftovers are igallta and non melodic ragez, and both IN and AT of Cthugha) I play on a a big ipad with only 2 fingers used (more finger for those catch catch notes) Im starting to PHI some level 13's and below. Honeslty i can call myself a *good* player right now and yeah i mean it. Phigros is like my main game right now but im having some problems (my hand) My hands idk why but my pinky finger hurts so bad when im trying to pose it for playing phigros and i can't bear it. That's why im resting from phigros so long now and idk if my skill is still there or it slowly decaying now. (Cytus 2 - *For me this is THE best one*) - So cytus 2! I starting in dec. 2020 and actually a fun my first rhythm game ever played is a deleted copy of ADOFI which is beat tiles (PLS TELL ME IF THERES WAY TO PLAY THAT GAME AGAIN!) And im a GOD at it!! Max Score on all levels (easy and hard) and once theres a update i perfect it immediately! I miss the game so much. Now back to cytus 2, im also a pro at the game 90% of levels in the F2P section is MM (with a good TP) but suddenly it must be deleted. Since my storage of my phone is lacking (and sadly cytus 2 is the cause of it) it needs to deleted and restart the phone completely! So my saved progress is gone now. I play on a phone (A20) and play thumbs of course. I just missed the game but sadly it's quite boring ot beat it again (the story) and it's quite boring to level up the characters again to max level since it gives less and im just MM them all over again. But maybe someday i will re-do it again with some confidence to take it back once i hold in the old times. The story is sad and good at the same time (especially the story of PAFF/AROMA) and yeah, great game and i wish that i can paid the paid ones in the future. So yeah this is my tow rhythm games that im so good to play, so now im playing other rhythm games like finky friday at roblox, Osu! And more. Wish me luck on this ones :D
I've been playing Arcaea for like a year or three fourth of the year and I just recently able to pull off FTR 10, and not even AA usually (A is best). 9+ songs still weird af
Seeing them play a 4K chart like that while I can't play a 9 level chart in etterna *I honestly have no idea how to improve besides the vague answer of practicing help-*
I feel like I’m progressing pretty slowly in sdvx I’ve been playing for 3 months and can do 18s I’m arcade only mainly i have controller at home but don’t use it because it’s broken so arcade only player and play once a week
Being good does affect your perception on what is "good", I mean for a normal person (Who doesn't play rhythm games, or just very casually) , any of your footage playing any rhythm game, you look like a God.
I have played DanceDanceRevolution, Guitar Hero, and osu!. I am not the most skilled in those games, but I have played them before. One game that I have not heard anyone else talk about is Superbeat Xonic. I’m not skilled in that at all. Plus, that game is extremely anime-like, which really limits what I actually enjoy in that game. Here is my skill level: DanceDanceRevolution: - I can beat Sky Is The Limit’s full version in DDR II on Expert. (Level 12 for 5 minutes 30 seconds) - I can beat short versions of 13s and sometimes 14s. Just sometimes for level 14. Guitar Hero: - I have beaten “My Name Is Jonas” by Weezer, “Do It Again” by Steely Dan, “Stranglehold” by Ted Nugent, and “Vicarious” by TOOL. - I can beat “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen if I don’t play on a laggy TV. - The 3 songs from World Tour I listed, I have beaten on a laggy TV, if that makes a difference. - Rock Band isn’t the same as Guitar Hero, but I have beaten Rock Band 2’s “Bodhisattva” by Steely Dan… on hard difficulty. Although, I almost failed. osu! - I can play at most 2.5, maybe 2.6 star songs and beat them with a trackpad. - I can indeed play simpler songs with other game modes and beat them. Xonic - I can beat up to level 7 songs, although it depends on the mode I’m playing. TL;DR I have played rhythm games, but I’m not the best.
I feel the same way about TF2 (Team Fortress 2) I've played that game ever since 2011, and I've had some points in life I had to take breaks from playing, and I am now so rusty and just bad at the game. I can't do any of the old tech's I used to, my aim has gotten extremely awful, everything. It makes trying to get back into the game really difficult. But the game also has a crisis of cheaters and bots right now which really makes it hard to get back into it too. It's rough.
This video is crazy lol. You're good, I started thinking, "Oh maybe I'm better than Tojaku at one game! Maybe!" But nope, you're better than me at literally every game XD.
my gaming philosophy is be good at everything you do. the only fun is destroying or blowing away normal people's brains cross map no-scoping mania vibro maps big aggressive flicks or intense death streams on standard osu yeah. FUN :D
I used to be really good at rhythm games, but then went on a 2 year hiatus, came back in 2021, and I'm now god awful at them, but still having fun and casually getting better.
i’ve only played super popular stuff like osu! (several versions), arcaea, rhythm heaven, etc. one of my favorites is patapon for the psp. i’m mediocre at most everything but i’m best at osu- even then i mostly get B rank on normal maps
5:01 EXACTLY HOW I FEEL ABOUT 4K MAP RANKINGS... There's a huge wall starting 4 stars that just feels like note spam I tend to only stick to 3 stars because of that
we share the same mentality im tryna have fun to the music_im not tryna grind the rewards will come_when we keep having fun this is the kaizen method of continuous improvement
I actually bought the Taiko no Tatsujin for the Nintendo Switch not too long ago. The game is really fun and I am currently trying to see if I can get the official drum for my birthday.
I got Osu like 4 days ago and I use a Star G860S XP-pen Drawing tablet and I was wondering what drawing tablet one do you use? My tablet is good but sometimes it is not Responsieve (Also I love your vids😄.) -Cam
Yo Jolene, I'm just an Osu gamer, not that new to the game, It's just, I may get a graphics tablet for Osu. How should I practice if I'm not good with Stylus? (I'm currently using Mouse.)
Your arcaea video got me into arcaea and now im at potential 10.21, but i’ve hit one hell of a skill ceiling now ;-; Wonder if buying packs would help?
Buying packs do help with increasing potential since it increases the amount of lv 9s you own. It's possible bump potential into 10.7 ish just by having a ton of lv 9s
Buying song packs definitely helps, but trying to get EX+ on the songs you can, might be the easiest way to increase potential in my opinion Good luck!
@@qilinit I personally have no specific pack to pick, because lowiro distribute the difficulty across packs quite evenly. But I won't be consider packs that are too hard, like Chunithm pack, when my ptt was at 10s.
I don't play osu!taiko a lot because I'm picky with my skins (lol) but I technically haven't played Taiko no Tatsujin either. I've definitely played a bunch of home console games, but I just can't find a Taiko cabinet.
in tetris, your skill rusting away is kinda the opposit i think. at some point, i didnt play for a week, which isnt so long, but i broke my record at my 2nd game if i remember correctly. a friend of mine also had this, where he didnt play tetris for like a month or two, and he beat his record 5 times in a row. its only a theory, but i think it has to do that tetris doesnt really use muscle memory, and more just brain power.
I know this is not related but I would like to say, I have 1,000+ hours in splatoon. ONE. THOUSAND. I still have a rank of roughly B+ and a out of X (C, C+, B-, B, B+, A-, A, A+, S+1, S+2, S+3 S+4 (repeat) S+9, X
her reply section is flooded so im just gonna say it here. I can do ~9 TPS in piano tiles, but cap out at around 10.4 or so. -Can get to the double tiles part of Star Clock -Got 10.86 TPS in Master Challenge once and to this day is still my best score. -PB in single tile challenge is ~10.4-5. You're a saint for reading this. I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving yesterday.
I can do a few expert levels on beatsaber, level 10 max on robeats... your reaction time seems to be way better than me. I dont spend my whole life on rythm games, in fact I usually switch between game genres atleast 3 times per year. This year I’ve done rythm, platformer, scary/horror, I played one bullet hecc recently which was fun but I found out the developers never gonna finish making the game
So it's actually easier to unlock songs on exceed gear right now since they changed how BLASTER GATE works, right now you could unlock 3-4 songs on one play count, but instead you have to cleared the songs itselves which it's harder I guess
Me who kept on getting my winning streak ass defeated by my friend who plays OSU or Osu Mania makes me quit the FNF games and the mods cause i just started loosing. Too bad some of my friends know me as a pro
Taiko no tatsujin (11 years gameplay):if I can pass a normal course (7), I consider myself quite good already, forget about hard and oni. (definitely forget about infinite rebellion)
Pinned comment is full. I'm about 3rd or 4th (few nr1) in Romania, in Trackmania 2020 at the fullspeed cathegory. In osu! I no longer have time to play much, but even when I play, it's just song and beatmaps that I enjoy. I don't check or care how much pp it gives me.
I just don't understand how it works that you're able to clear most 18s in SDVX but you're stuck with 7s in IIDX. It's basically the same game but easier imo since you only have 1 spinning control to worry about 😅
@@tokaku It's still weird to see someone who can clear 18s in SDVX struggle so much with IIDX haha, I guess mainly because the lane is different? I only started to play SDVX 2 months ago and I really needed to adjust my timing to the 3D lane and which speed I'm playing. With IIDX it's pretty much consistant regardless of which speed you are playing, same for PNM (which is my main game that I've been playing since Pop'n 5). I'm starting to get the hang of the easier 17s, and SDVX really feels like a different kind of challenge opposed to both PnM and IIDX so in that regards I can kind of imagine why it's so much harder for you to get into IIDX.
I'm mostly a Cytus 2 player nowadays, but I also still play 4k rhythm games (mix of fnf and osu mania, i like some of the songs in fnf), Phigros, Muse Dash, and Groove Coaster when the pandemic wasn't a thing. In Cytus, I can MM most of the easier chaos 14s, and overall have pretty high TP (usually like 98-99 on most songs), so I'd say im decent but not like great. I don't TP 100 things either. I'm like rank 70k on osu mania and really only play low 3* charts because I'm bad Phigros I mostly just play 13s and 14s, usually songs I really. I can fc some 14s. Muse Dash I can fc some Master 10s, but that's about it. Groove Coaster I mostly play like hard 9s and 10s, I'm not that good I just really enjoy the game. Oh also my potential in arcaea is 7.06 lmfao I don't play it much
My current Arcaea potential around 9.13 for playing for only 3 weeks. Not sure it is good or bad but managed to EX Future Lvl 9. I was really bad even at Present Lvl 7 for first week of playing 😂
pianista is easy when you already play rhythm games lol (it’s not really easy to have good accuracy and there are also a few hards song, but overall yeah it’s not hard. It’s just for the people that don’t really like tryhard stuff)
I've played Project Diva for more than 200 hours (on various titles), got to extreme 10 stars when I decided to switch to osu, fucked my wrist for playing for too many hours (6 digit, high 4 stars maps) and now I'm learning taiko haha I kinda miss project diva tho maybe I'll get back to it
sad, I live in Maaysia and there is no Sound Voltex cabinets here (there is taiko ones but at the time i was not interested in rhythm games until the pandemic came)
