HEY!!! I'm Meka a part-time content creator specializing in relaxed hair care and hair care in general. I also share healthy eating as I feel that this is the best way to grow long healthy hair while maintaining a healthy body. Product education is also an important aspect of my channel, because this is how our hair will remain healthy. My part-time content creator career started in 2022 as a way to help others to care for their relaxed hair. Your hair looks good! I especially like that you wrap it overnight after your roller set to get the nice sleek look you are going for. I see other influencers who flat iron their hair AFTER the roller set and it never made sense to me to add even more heat with the flat iron after spending so much time with the roller set. Great wash day for you 😊

Thank you Tanya. I am not about the double heat on my hair 😀so this method works excellent for my hair I have been doing it this way for years now and it comes out this way every time. The key is to ensure that the hair goes onto the roller smoothly and you are using the right products for your hair type as long as anyone does that they will get the same result. Another way to get the same result is to wrap the hair and tie it with a scarf and sit under the dryer for 5 minutes and get the same result.

I think some people don't want the double heat of blow drying and flat ironing so they rollerset and flat iron instead especially if you have a lot of new growth then air drying and flat ironing doesn't get the job done. I do think it's a little weird though, lol.

Your rollerset came out really well. I air dry after a relaxer for the first 8wks, 8-12wks blow dry on cool then regular heated blow dry for the remaining 12-16wks. During those last weeks before a relaxer I keep my hair stretched to lessen breakage and tangles. 💜

Thanks Meka for another great video...I love how dedicated you are to your rollers lol I can't even find mine. I haven't roller set my hair in years!!! And I absolutely hate the dryer. I air dry and my hair will never look as shine as yours without moisturizing it after its dried despite me using moisturizing products during wash day. Your hair is growing nicely, keep up the good work♥️

Thank you and you are welcome Chevelle. I have gotten so use to the result I get from roller setting that we are now bestie despite the heat under the dryer😀. Yes whenever, you air dry your hair you will need a little added moisture and this is because your cuticles are still opened. The moisturizer will help smooth the cuticle layer thus giving the hair a More moisturized look. I will cover this topic more in depth in a future video because there is a big difference in roller setting and air drying. Until then thanks for supporting my channel🙌

I love how your hair turned out. I relax my hair every 10 weeks and I blow dry my hair. I used to air dry but I realized that my hair doesn’t look as shiny as I like it without adding a lot of moisturizer. My hair is very thick and healthy according to my hair dresser. I don’t experience much breaking, shedding or split ends. So blowing it works for me😊

Hi Christy i did not use anything on my hair untill the third day. I only used a hair gloss for added sheen.

When I get out from the dryer I feel like my face has aged 20 years. So then I started covering my face with a towel to keep the heat away from my face. But I never did like the dryer, I gave mine away. It was so cute pink and white. But I couldn’t do it anymore.

I don't love under the dryer because of the obvious reason. I just tolerate it cause I need the heat to deep condition and dry when I roller set.

I have been using it every week more for the sake of my scalp, so far it has been working I have no flakes and no itching. However, before this change I would only use it once per month. Since I am no longer experiencing the flakes and itchiness I will be reverting to once per month and see what happens. Let me know if you would like an update video on this😊

I air-dry with the rollers first and then at the end of the day I sit under the dryer so I spend less time under it
