The way single women are disrespected is very bad. I am ugandan and, in my country no one cares if you are married or not. No one goes around boasting about being married.
I'm Kenyan and no one cares if a woman is married or not too 😂😂😂. Only married women seem to know the single own. I did school with Nigeria girls abroad though, it makes so much sense why they wanted marriages as if it was an emergency. Nigeran moms would also be constantly be reminding them that they needed to get husbands 🤣🤣. I did find it a little too dramatic but it's another day to remind us that we don't always know what's going on with people's lives and extend grace.
@HermosaCosmetics-wz8ez true but it has to change as marriage although is good, should not be viewed as an achievement. So many remain in failed marriages and, at times are killed because of societal expectations.
You look so relaxed. I plan to leave UK after 33 years. I fell sick around the same time you did, with gastritis. I am still struggling, going from one hospital to another. Infact, my condition is now worse. Once I am better, I will leave. I have invested in 8 apartments for renting. My project will be completed in November. God willing, I will be home in 2025
Hello Summer, having a small stature does not help the 'madam' status. People also tend to look at that, but by and large, people respect men more than women in Africa. That's sad!
Ndo o Summer. That's how we roll in Nigeria. If you're a plump single lady and you wear native, they'll call you Madam o and respect you. It boils down to illiteracy.
True, weather has a lot to do with your mood and health. Vitamin D is good for your bones. Skin and Chemical makeup for mood and there’s less depression in Africa
Summer GOD BLESS you richly! Please, the SUN shines even in cold environments. That is what makes GOD WHO HE IS! The earth is the LORD’S and the fullest in it, including the SUN, MOON and STARS. If all things were perfect in NIGERIA, there would still be people that would relocate to other parts of the world. Even within Nigeria, I know people that have moved to several different locations for reasons best known to them. I pray you continue to enjoy your stay in NIGERIA. There is no perfect county or continent to live in the world. The perfect place of eternal abode is to spend eternity with GOD, the FATHER, the SON and the HOLY SPIRIT.
Exactly 💯%correct👍. Nomatter whom we are and wherever we are living(Country or Continent) in this world if we are not living a lifestyle that glorifies OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN with eternity in mind with HIM daily we are wasting our time because life itself without HIM is nothing. Either poor or rich young or old without CHRIST we are nothing. Either we live 10, 30, 70,100 years or even above without CHRIST we are still nothing. Any achievement we can have in life be It few or much(whatsoever effort/hardwork we put in it)without CHRIST we are still nothing. Whatever tittle we may have be it student or graduate(Phd holder, Bachelor degree, ecc.....), magistrate, doctor, lawyer, entrapreneur, accountants, ecc......... without CHRIST we are still nothing. The essence of what am saying is that only in HIM are we complete.
Summer, the misogyny in Nigeria is top tier! I was weakened by the experience. Especially if you look young. You have look like a heavy set madam. Its crazy
You are very right about shortlets owners not maintaining their properties well. I remember my visits to Nigeria in 2015 (I reside in Ghana). My experiences on many hotels I went to were horrible. The bedsheets were stained with mosquitoes blood, cobwebs everywhere and and so many other things. Even, my son (very young at the time) pulled out a used condom from under the sheet. They feel you are complaining too much, they feel it is all normal.
You like food too much Summer. Even when you only visited, you were just eating anything anywhere 😂😂 I dey reserve my tummy oo I will copy you. I miss some mama side roads ehh
Wow! I'm from the US and I wasn't aware of the blatant disrespect of women in Nigeria. Here in the US, there is racial discrimination at times but good customer service is expected in the businesses where we shop, it applies to both women and men. As in all businesses, there are sometimes rude employees but it's normally not displayed to just women.
You are very correct, thats why you see some people, they want to show up you see some ladies shaking their car keys and wedding rings so that people will notice them.
Oh my goodness!!!! So true.😂😂 I went to a shop on the island with my brother in law to buy a dress. They kept addressing my brother in law. Na me hold my money 😂😂. I had to tell the sales person that I was visible and she should talk to me.
Our food is organic.. regarding the respect thingy for males I think it’s a Lagos thing in port harcourt they respect who has the money dnt matter if your male or female
Sis sorry Nigeria is men's world why Europe is women's world where they know the value of women that is the reason when they jakpa it becomes difficult for the men. It's a pity.
Hi Summer, I live in uk at the moment planning to relocate to Nigeria by next year. I’m also setting up a four flat shortlet in Benin city, 85% completed. I want to know if you have to registered the shortlet before being rent out.
Please Brag away Summer the food will be absolutely delicious. Please don't cover your mouth your teeth are beautiful show them off let's get teeth envy Summer 😁🫂 the dash us money thing is 😮one definitely need a local to advise someone is not taken advantage of Nepotism is a thing in Naija big time. I no fit dash all the time as it will definitely add up🫣 some people one will have to dash elderly deprived looking like you do here on the street of London. Thank you for the beautiful content keep sharing so we come and start our own community.
Summer, may be it's because you don't have much stature, and age is not telling on you. That's why they're looking down on you, but the moment they know that you carry, the story automatically changed.
That was exactly my comment, there are some women wi6 no man in naija that ppl respect them even more than a man,NA MONEY O If u are 1 million man with no MONEY in naija,l beg dey no see una o
As a Nigerian living in America you cannot compare the dash of Nigeria with the tipping culture of America .You tip in America after you have received a service ! You certainly do not go to Government offices and offer anyone a tip !! In fact if you work for the government in the US you cannot accept anything from the public no matter how small ! I think the only thing you can accept would be a thank you card unless you want to spend some years in jail!!
With regards Disrespectful attitude to women, that why you see Staffs being treated harshly by female bosses that's the way to keep them on their toes. Na Wah
In summer, in my experience, it is all about assumptions. If you come into a store looking like you have money, people will swarm all over you. Even as a man, if you go into a shop and you look poor, nobody will pay attention to you.
Summer, not all women they dont respect in Naija o,even if they are without a man,it could be bcos of ur stature, there are some women in naija, they respect them more than a man o
