hello Sorry, I don't know if you've already solved your problem and maybe this is a bit silly, but have you already tried to press the back button 8 times in the control? I think this makes the RT5X default
I was not aware of that but I no longer have the 5X. I sent it to someone a few months ago and they concluded there was nothing they could do to fix it. Since then the same thing has happened to my 2X Pro as well.
I own an original 2X (Not the 2X pro) and have had it for around 4 years. The same thing happened to me too. One day it just stopped working. The TV can see it's plugged into it, but no signal.
I did send it to someone and they couldn't pinpoint what happened and were unable to offer a solution. I didn't get any good answers in their discord either, so unfortunately it looks like I'll have to buy another.
@BrettDarien yup... I have a issue where mine, '1 month old' will randomly show a horizontal line scroll up my image, it's very noticeable and distracting in dark color areas of the picture. Some tried to help in the discord, but then it became a troll fest... and Mike ended up replying and saying it was normal,... it's literally not... he said if I ended up sending it to him he probably wouldn't find anything outa the ordinary... after abit he told me to *move on and just enjoy the game* ..... and here I was debating on buying the Tink4k.... I guess he's not worried about 1 customer with a defective product as he sold outa his Tink 4ks within the hour they were available I'm pretty sure there's something wrong with the video on mine, it does this with ALL systems n64, Saturn, ps1, snes, etc etc. Composite, scart & component. It's ridiculously annoying. Sucks that the product is promising but the guy running it could care less if there's a minor issue with it after he's gotten your money Mind you I didn't have any vertical line scrolling up with the Tink2k when I had that It got to the point on their discord where they ended up telling me to just go outside... like wtf, I get it may be hard to spot in my video but Mike should have atlest reached out to me.... I also never got a reply from my email that I had sent mike... so my guess is he knows it picks up video interferences and wants me to stfu and stop pointing it out, or he's just so unprofessional he doesn't care to hear me out
@lovelorn88nick Yeah I was honestly expecting better customer service from Mike. Even though mine was out of warranty, he could of at least offered to fix it or send me a replacement for a fair price. I know Mike has been helpful to a lot of people on the discord, but he didn't seem interested in helping me at all. It just so happens that pre-orders for the next batch of OSSC Pro's opened up recently, and I've been thinking about getting one of those instead. But I use a VCR and I think the retrotink is the best scaler for my setup, as it is emphasized that the OSSC is designed for games and not movies. I don't want to give Mike any more of my money, but I might have to since getting a used one on Ebay can actually be more expensive.
@BrettDarien it's good to know I'm not the only one dude. I truly do believe Mikechi just doesn't care, he's not a business man... and he was rude as hell with me, I actually just ordered the OSSC PRO, unfortunately that doesn't have composite or S-Video. So idk about nes or n64
@lovelorn88nick They're going to release an accessory add-on that supports composite and S-video, but it won't be available until later in the year. In the meantime you could use a composite/S-video to VGA converter.
