Back in 2020, I was attacked and almost killed by a dog that we had. It was (needless to say) an extremely traumatic experience that I feel very blessed to have survived. Since then, I have tried to use the experience for good, choosing to speak out about my experience in hopes of helping others and raising awareness about the realities of dog attacks. That was a big part of my motivation for sharing this latest chapter in my journey- that of receiving reconstructive surgery to correct the breathing issues I have had since the attack.
Please know that if you, or someone close to you is going through something like this, I feel for you and my heart goes out to you. You can survive this and there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
