They are so beautiful my grandmother has a lot of these in a glass cabinet n she has even given me a few as I’m moving into a new house soon n she has offered to give me the rest of them when she passes away bless her 💓
How nice to see a young lady like yourself loving her Doulton Figures. It reminds me of myself starting my collection when I was 18. It stayed a passion for the rest of my life and I am now 74 so have been collecting for 56 years. I have a collection of over 950 of them now and had to have special cabinets built for them. Last year we moved into a retirement home so had to downsize but have kept about 400 figures mainly by Leslie Harradine who modelled for Doulton in the 1920's until 1950's. He modelled some stunning figures which are now very valuable so keep your collection safe.
I agree Leslie Harradine was the true master of his craft, the figures he modelled are great works of art. At that time the Royal Doulton company employed wonderful figure painters, and the detail and colours of these early figures are unequaled.
There is something about dolls that always brings out the little girl inside of us. My husband gifted me one of the CL limited edition Barbies. Unlike me, she never complains about her red sole shoes. My husband was a sucker for those red soles. I told him never to torture me like that ever again. So he responded by gifting me a CL Barbie with her 4 pairs of red sole shoes. It is my favorite gift ever because she never fails to makes me smile. And she whispered in my ear "His the one".
Thanks so much for doing this! They are ALL absolutely GORGEOUS! I love them. The Fox Trot one if my favorite one. Love the Best Wishes second. Plus they are stamp with a Lion, like me. lol. Very nice collection! The dolls are very pretty. I started to collect porcelain shoes a while back by "just the right shoe" but carlton cards discontinued carrying them. Quite disappointing. But I also have another collection which is the lemax Christmas buildings. Im not sure if you've seen my short YT video on it. If you haven't, please check it out if you have the time. I tossed everyone of my boxes when I was moving.I was over whelmed.Plus the kids are planning to trash my dolls when I go home to Jesus.They want no part of it.
