I'm so sorry you got scammed 😔 But you are doing a wonderful thing by donating him. Glad you got your money back. I watched a lot of videos before buying my first reborn. I wanted one so bad, but was afraid of being scammed. After watching a video of a person at the Kansas Doll Show, I found a local artist!!! I met her for lunch and she brought one of her reborns with her. I was amazed at how real she looked. I bought my first doll from her and I have 2 more she's in the process of making. ❤😊 I was so fortunate to find a local artist!!!
That is so disappointing! And although it would be an incredibly inexpensive price for a regular silicone, it is a lot to pay for an Ivita silicone, which only cost $100-$200. I'm so sorry that happened to you :( It's amazing that you are donating him!
I'm so sorry, I never received the reborn baby I ordered. I waited over three months. I ordered her for my birthday. Esty did refound my money .For Silicone babies always check to see if they have a channel so I can actually see their work. But my mother used to tell me a lot of times you pay for what you get.

It’s cute but you can litterly buy that kit blank on Amazon for like 150. That’s probably what the artist did. I don’t understand if they are stolen how Amazon is getting away with selling them. Im sorry for your experience. I hope your new baby is just perfect💕

I fell in love with him when I saw him! The doll on the listing was painted better it seemed. The artist also you could tell was in it for the money, not for the fun of making the babies. She sold hundreds more probably after I ordered mine. It's sad

Actually that’s an invitation doll. You used to could get them for like $199.00 but now that everything has gotten so expensive, people have started learning to root and paint and all that. So, they started buying those dolls and learning how to root and paint with them. Then they sell them as reborns or whatever! When it comes to the silicones, I always for the seams. There’s always a give away. Which I have looked at so many of the ivita and the vollence dolls I can pretty much stay away from them. Have you checked out “ The Doll Connection Store”? Ann Day offered lay away also!
I think I got scammed by the same person? Or maybe similar? Could you get in contact with me so I can get help? I paid almost $900 and mine is horrible. The hair came out!! The hair looks the same as yours! I wrote to her to complain and she said i can’t get a refund because it says on the form but I could send the doll back to them for “baby hospital” or something to work on. I didn’t know how to leave a bad review on Etsy or who to contact. My doll was horrible.
Perhaps you should check out the videos from Little Waddle Nursery speaking on ilegal and counterfeit kits. They're are alot of facts that we as consumers , don't have knowledge of. Alot of it has to do with sculptures not protecting their work. And how China has copying rights because their laws differ from ours , So therefore not all ilegal or scam. Knowledge is power
