I'm almost 34 and have a 3 yr old son. I've never met my father a day in my life. Having a son changed my life. He is so loving like his daddy and it's the most amazing feeling.
My ritual is on the way home from a 12hr shift at the hospital. I have a 35 min drive home. It helps me unwind. It also gets me thinking about the life I use to live and how I could have ended up like so many of my brothers.
You’re an inspiration to the younger generation, idk if you have a video of talking about what lead you into starting your own business or what lead you into not only getting a legit job but starting one to be able to feed your family, if you don’t have a video about those times when you got out leading to becoming a business owner that would be a great topic
Yup. Owning a business ain't no joke. You have tons of rules, regulations, tax shit to keep track of, employee paperwork, permits, etc. Not the kind of stuff you can just learn on the fly.
He has an old video where he explains how he used to live in a shitty neighborhood and his kid wouldn’t be able to play outside because people would get shot so that gave him motivation to try and get them out of there he didn’t have the intention to start a business he just randomly got linked up with an investor he flipped a house in like 3 days and it started from there I’m not sure if this is 100% accurate but it was said in one of his earliest videos not word for word but roughly something similar to that
It's crazy that a bump while walking around the track ended the way it did. A simple "Sorry" or "My bad" and that chain of events might've never unfolded the way it did.
It makes it real that you can explain the feeling of fear so accurately. The average person seen or felt fear often enough to say “I was so scared.” You’re able to break it down. You’ve seen and experienced true trauma in your life. Salute for doing in spite of rather than because of. Keep doing gods work Jay.
When you told Jay to keep doing God's work, I so felt you because while I may be still searching for the path God wants me on, I have no doubt that Jay is doing God's work. He's helped so many, this is absolutely at least one of his callings. Blessings

Jay is on his grind. He has learned to have good morals with his good stories. It is better to choose to work and live with some freedom than to break the law and have the state tell you where to sleep, when to eat, where to go, where you are locked down, who you live with.

He's done the time but then so have many others. Not so many can keep you interested. Jay is a master storyteller. believe it or not, stories are one of the most oft-used methods of passing time inside, along with playing cards, working out, and going to the yard. Reading is necessary as well.

Jay I just got released yesterday after damn near a month after the circuit court revoked my bond for THC in my drug screen. But the whole time I was in there withdrawing from prescribed methadone and xanax I was wondering about your posts and thinking about the things I'd heard u say and it really helped me get through that hell and I just wanted to say thank you. I feel u Jay! Never been to prison, but I've worked in one as a nurse. Used to freak me out walking through that front door, signing in, & then going thru 5-6 doors just to get to the infirmary. That's when I knew if some shit broke out, I'm IN THERE! AIN'T NO GET OUT QUICK! Then I paid attention to the monotony of what u guys went through every single day & that would drive me to insanity! I absolutely couldn't take it.
you help me get through a lot. I have no friends or car or family, recovering from a car wreck, and live in a purgatory surrounded by 4 walls where i have no choice but to bide my time, save my money, strategize and improve myself and my relationship with God. it is great stress relief to be able to hear your stories while I'm trying to take care of my own goals in the background, gets my mind off things and helps me focus.

Really appreciate the reality you portray of being in the correctional and growing in these institutions to the moment of getting out. The fact you can admit what actually shook you while doing your bid, shows just how much you've grown since. Yo Jay, b4 my comment gets buried under all the others, I wanted to ask if you ever fought your dad once you got big? My friends dad beat him up as a kid. When he grew up, he returned the favor.
I stood up to him and let him know I wasn't scared anymore. My mom stood in between us and stopped the fight from happening. I said some really messed up things. We never spoke again. He died 3 days later. Salute
Thanks for posting, Jay. It takes a man comfortable in his own skin to talk honestly about his fears and emotions. I haven’t been to prison and hope to keep it that way, but I think what resonates with people is that you frame things in such a way that it’s applicable to all aspects of life and everyone. What you said about preferring to have a few solid people around rather than a lot of shaky dudes is something everyone can relate to!
