The a-hole teacher was problematic from the start btw though he only had 1 problematic scene but it is huge. He is the guidance counselor for the school and do you guys still remember how he handled the college counseling in the early episode? He destroyed their dreams and mental state by saying awful stuffs about their dreams. The way he handled it was a red flag on how he didn't consider the kids emotions.
that's true, but it was also played off in a comedic way, so we weren't really supposed to think he was an asshole just based on that. he's been seen as the teacher in quite a few scenes and didn't act problematic then, and as he said in the bathroom, Gun always used to come to him for advice and stuff meaning he liked him and trusted him and so hearing him say all that hurt even more, especially since Gun doesn't really seem to be the type of student to bond with teachers in the first place. it's more of an impact when you hear stuff like this coming from someone completely unexpected, so I don't think him being discouraging in the counsellor's office was meant to be taken that seriously at first, but that maybe on a re-watch would have stood out more. if that makes sense?
I'm only guessing here, but when Gun sang "I'm a rock on the star", he is comparing how he, in the presence of Tinn, is just a rock (of no value) on the star (of high value, who is Tinn). This song is the "I'll tell the world how much I love you" of this series. It's my most favorite. The lyrics are much more romantic in Thai if you happen to know the language. Credits to the songwriters and musicians and sound engineering staff of MSP. PEPPERY P and Okomo P really did wonders!!!!
aww 🥹🥹 thanks for sharing that!! That’s awesome. Yeah i’m sure there’s so much beautiful context we’re missing once the lyrics are translated to english 😭 So thank you for offering some insight! ♥️ -Brian
In that scene with Tinn's father, you will notice how gun looks at the father and gun lost his father at a young age due to a car crash , so gun seeing tinns dad act like that towards him reminds him of what fatherhood felt. He must be thinking that, that's how it felt like to have a father while growing up which he didn't experience 1:14:44
Tinn's mom standing up for Tinn was also a full circle moment. Remember, the mom asked Tinn's father in a previous episode that if a moment comes up where Tinn needs her (like when Tinn forgot the lyrics in a singing show or something and badly affected his confidence to be on stage, but she was on a meeting or something), will she be able to be there for him? Will Tinn be able to forgive her? That scene answered those questions.
Kajorn is insufferable, but his anger is warranted. Since the start, he’s been super passionate about his work, and let’s face it, the music club used to be very problematic. It was the school board’s order after all that problematic clubs be dissolved, so the music club getting away with everything was fishy. Rather than Tinn’s choice of dating a guy, Kajorn is just really questioning the work ethic and preferential treatment. I’m glad it was quickly resolved though.
totally agree!! it was easy to dislike him because he got in the way of our protagonists, but when you think about it he really did have some fair points. He was just a lot sometimes lol. But I agree! I’m glad things were resolved in a nice way that really redeemed him and gave him depth. -Brian
We'll see TinnGun again in a project called Our Sky 2, which GMM is about to film very soon. So happy that we'll get to see them again, but there will be just 2 episodes, as far as I know.
@@BriPhilTVofficial There's also 23.5 degrees, where Gemini and Fourth will be playing North and Night (respectively). They are immensely talented and their chemistry is just outrageous. Our Skyy 2 has already started filming with the Vice-Versa segment. The others will soon follow. I pray that Chinzhilla and Tiw will be there as well. Hopefully, new songs as well.
Such a good series, it was just really tight and cohesive. The whole team did an amazing job, I do have a wish that they could do a season two, there is definitely story for it. I don't mind the tiwpor crumbs, I get the reason for not doing more, cause everything was so cohesive we didn't need too much side couple shenanigans.
yaaahhhhh!! It was all really well done. I suppose it’s better to be left wanting more than to have the story be too cluttered and clunky haha. I’m hoping for either a spin off maybe or more of them in OurSky 2 ahha. I guess we’ll see!! Even a season 2 could be a nice place to explore their relationship more!!!
but the teacher was problematic from the beginning.. all he did was crush their spirit when he was supposed to guide them and help them find their own path. Also, sometimes the people you least expect to be homophobes turn out to be the biggest ones.. I liked the way they portrayed homophobia in this series.. usually in romcoms like this the absence of homophobia makes it seem like they're living in a fantasy, but the contrast between the older generation like the teachers whining and complaining about tinn's relationship with gun openly and shamelessly through text, in the prom u can see teachers disapproving and upset about tinngun, the councilor saying unhinged homophobic bullshit and making fun of literal kids VS the students and gun's friends accepting tinngun's relationship and being happy for them.
I really like they set up the parallels between the 2 moms and between Kajorn and that councillor teacher, particularly the latter pair. As Phil said, reality is like that, a person could be acting all cool and progressive but underneath a fucking homophobe arsehole. Yet, they also show us there are people with their flaws and bias (Kajorn disliking the music club for what?) willing to step forward as allies of the bullied / oppressed. As Tinn's parents demonstrated, it is up to each of us to have the courage and be the kind person in a cruel world. This last episode ticks so many boxes it is amazing. Bravo to the script writers. And thanks for this MSP journey with you 2 ❤
