A folding crosscut saw from a hardware or hunting supply store can also be used for distressing items. Although you have to be more careful, due to them usually having larger cutting teeth.
I use sawzall blades they come in super fine tooth,or medium ,or really rough for wood. They work the same your knife but you can fine tooth it. 😏 like you do as well no need to press really hard or you can if you are going for really torn look. I really like your videos inspireing ,and very informative. Hail the snail blackweb out!
Since that saw is replaceable, you can replace it with finer one or one with less teeth. love my surge, best buy of last couple of years for sure. never though of using it as a distress tool though. nice find ;) .
What purpose is that for, also is that a Leatherman surge or wave,I love my surge for simple fact for the t-shank adapter, you can always get a replacement from Leatherman cause of their 25 year warranty, also you can also get different saw blades an length as long as they fit the adapter.
so I was thinking of making a loadout for airsoft, I want to go with making a Metro 2033 Spartan costume. i am hoping to get some recommendations from you if possible. thank you very much.
well.. i recommend watching my entire channel then, since all my advice is all here. if you want me to MAKE your costume, feel free to contact me on facebook for a commission :) besides that, i recommend you to have fun either way! :)
Gonna have to hard disagree with ya here, buddy. It has to come down to sharpness and quality. Before I found out about you (we've spoken in person so I'm not just being a dick), I didn't know about the shredder tool so I did use a multi tool saw. My results were abysmal compared to my now rather dull serrated blade. With that said, I can just tell by looking at yours that the sharpness of your multi tool far exceeds my ~20 year old one. I love your videos and recommend them to people, but best? Far from it man, maybe the best for YOU, but the best fabric distressing tool is patience.
