My Second Trimester Update & Symptoms: Is Girl Pregnancy Different? 

Im currently pregnant for the 3rd time, but i sadly lost my first 2 babies😢💙❤ im having a really hard time with anxiety and not being able to enjoy this pregnancy, even more so because it is still very early on...if anyone reads this please pray for our baby to be healthy 🙏

It's my second pregnancy after a miscarriage, and this time I was so scared to loose this baby too😥😣But thanks God Im 6 months now too like u Sara and we're having a giiirl too! Now Im tired even if I comb my hair or if I do a lil bit of action...that scares me the most😭 Although I regularly go to swimming classes for pregnant women...hopefully will be fine!

I have 2 boys, and my pregnancies were both so different. First, I was really sick and craved sweets like ice cream and watermelon. Second, I felt great and craved salty things like chips. But yeah, both were boys.

i can relate to everything you are saying. i myself am pregnant with my second child too (24 weeks currently), having a girl, almost in my third trimester and i also have a 2 and a half year old son. everything you're mentioning is the same for me too! everything feels harder this time around, symptoms were more intense, its flying by, doctors visits are quick and easy, had the bad morning sickness in first trimester and the second trimester the cravings came and sleeping is already a drag and uncomfortable... you can do this!! we are almost at the end. cant wait to meet my little girl!! good luck to you!

When I was pregnant with my girl I also couldn't stand my husband, my hormones made me think he smelled awful, I just wanted him as far away from me as possible. 😂 And when pregnant with my boy, it was soo different, I needed to cuddle often. 😊

im currently pregnant in my 2nd semester with baby #2 who is also a girl. I feel ya Susan Yara, the symptoms you been feeling is exactly how I’ve been feeling! I’m also taking care of my toddler who is a girl and she requires so much attention. I look thru instagram photos checking out all the wonderful sweet desserts that I’m totally craving and totally want all the junk food. But when I eat i have this gross after taste which hasn’t gone away since the 1rst trimester. Anyways, I’m also having no good sleep thru the night, always waking up. Hang in there, we just have a few more months left :)

I have two girls under 2, just gave birth to the second in May, and can relate with whatever you have said so much...junk food cravings, aches and pains everything! I had a csec for the 2nd time as well and it has taken longer to heal, doctor says that's ok though. On the upside, breastfeeding has been so much easier this time around as well as sleep cycles. My mom lives with us, so I don't have to worry about my older one!...Hope you have a safe and smooth third trimester and delivery Susan!

I think it was the opposite for me, I have two girls and I loved being pregnant and I didn’t have much nausea or tiredness, I think because I had them when I was under 30 years old so I think that makes a huge difference in age and each pregnancy is different but both of my girls were really easy to carry but I’d have to agree with girls you do gain a lot more weight and get bigger fast.

I can only agree in all points. My second pregnancy is so different and more harder on the body then my first. All the things you have said, I do agree too and experience in the same way.

Can't imagine how hard it would be to even have two kids. Two kids is seriously enough

Ohhh my god. SAME. Second pregnancy, started showing at 8 weeks, craving BAD food ( had two hotdogs for lunch) and so incredibly exhausted from taking care of my 11 month old. Glad I’m not the only one going through it.

My 1st was a girl. She was so difficult. Found out morning sickness was NOT only during the mornings. Haha. But after the 2nd trimester the sickness was subsiding and things got way easier. Emergency csection. My 2nd was a boy. He was SOOOO SO easy. No sickness at all. And gave birth naturally (w drugs of course) I’m 45 and that 2nd was 21 years ago. My baby carrying days are over but I still love hearing other people’s preggo stories. Can’t wait for ur baby girl to arrive. Picked out any names yet?

I just hit 13 weeks with my second.. I have alot more pain this time around. Of course I'm about 9 yrs older this time too 🤣.. ugh I'm just ready for it to be over!

I’m having the same cravings. Lol.... but this is my first pregnancy. I used to not eat corn dogs but I LOVEDDDDD corn dogs during my first trimester.

Try lactose pills ask ur doctor of course but it can be a life saver if ur lactose intolerant

I’ve been there Susan and yes, I think it’s because you’re having a girl. When I was pregnant with my girl, I was super fatigued and uncomfortable. My gal friends who were having boys at the same time, had easier pregnancies and I was so envious. I think it’s the hormones that causes everything. I remember having swollen feet and making the hubs massage them every night during my last trimester. Get ready for it... The third trimester was no joke. But you’re doing amazing and it’ll be all worth it when you see your beautiful baby girl. I’m hoping my next pregnancy is with a boy so I don’t have to go through that again... :)

Congrats Susan! I just had a baby less than 2 months ago and I have toddler who is 18 months. I remember during my pregnancy the anxiety and not being able to do it too. It it was rough but it goes by so fast! Once you have a newborn and toddler, it gets worse for a bit. Don't forget to breathe and pray through the tough times! It helps me a lot.

Thanks for sharing! Try eating non-dairy ice cream if you get the craving since you are lactose intolerant. Grocery stores (Ralph’s) now have a huge selection of vegan or non-dairy options for ice cream so you can stock your freezer. Are you going on a Babymoon trip anytime soon? If so where? Great way to bond with you significant other before baby arrives. We went to Hawaii and it was so relaxing. Try to keep up with the exercise if you can by going on long walks & doing aquatic exercises/ laps. Being in the pool your weightless so it’s easier on the joints especially when ur pregnant. I loved swimming in the ocean when I was in Hawaii cuz it was the 1st time during my pregnancy that I felt light as a feather hehe. Keeping up with an active toddler while pregnant must be exhausting so try taking him to a nearby pool. He will still feel like he gets quality time with you, he gets to be active, you get a workout in, and you don’t have to run after him. Win win! Waw! Could recognize myself in so many things, especially in the "don't touch me, and stay away" part :D . Only main difference is the bad taste in the mouth, it's literally ruining my life at the moment! I want to eat but never know what because especially sweet foods and milk products give me this extra strong horrible foul taste that last forever :x Also the sleeping part has been much harder this pregnancy as with the first one I managed to sleep on my belly until 7 month whereas this pregnancy at 3 month is wasn't possible already! I'm 34 weeks now, i feel really different this time (i don't know what I'm having) i have a girl already but felt very much like you do this time with her, i craved fast food, found the pregnancy really hard whereas this time i've craved fruit and salad and feel generally a lot better... who knows! xx

Just had my second baby a week and a half ago. Mannn I agree with a lot of the stuff you have to say. I actually ended up gaining less weight but my belly got way bigger and I got more stretch marks. Meh! The last few weeks of pregnancy were so hard though especially with a 2.5 year old!!

Pregnant with #2, week 14 now and I have to say I already have so much more pain than in the first. ALSO I can relate to the cravings you described! My first one I was craving for real meals, nice salads from Restaurants. Now my first craving was a damn cold Coca Cola (I did not Drink that for the last 5 years 😂😂😂) plus all sweets, Ice cream, etc!!! Not sure what the gender will be, but everybody says it will be a girl now, since I am alot more sick than last time with my boy. I lost 6kg already within 3 months

Wanted to ask if you have had any experience with TDAP shots during pregnancy. Many doctors recommend it now, so was curious if you or your other mommy friends got the vaccine during pregnancy? Also, it would be great if you can do a video on your opinion about all the vaccines offered to babies and which ones you decided to decline, if any! Thank you! 💕

I have a 17 1/2 month old boy. I would love to add another one. Both my ob and my primary had advised me that because of my health issues that I have it would be advised not to have another one. I would have to be in a good place to really try for another one. Plus it would be a hard route again because of my husband's swimmers not swiming well that would also add into this mix. I have always told myself he is a mircale baby that happened and to be happy with what G-D had in store for us. But being that I am Jewish, one of the things that has always stuck with me was when you find your besharit which stands for your soulmate or other half that you should multiply as you can with children. I truly have always seen myself as that motherly type with more then one child. Of course I want my kids to be years apart so that I don't have two under a certain age in diaper. So idealy myabe when our boy is 3 to try for another one or when he is 4 and by the time he is 5 bring another one into the world. I have also thought about maybe adopting if I can not go through with another pregnancy as this one was really a rough one on me with chances of a repeat of it again. I yarn for another baby as I miss that cuddling stage since my boy now is at the age of wanting to be free roaming around not cuddly buddly all the time. I feel with a baby they can be on you all day needing your love and with your toddler it is that fun stage of you can do things together. I am torn between both and nervous if I do bring another one home how will I handle two. My mom was much older when she found out she was pregnant with my brother having him at age 40 while I was 16 so she didn't really have that experience of having a young child while having a baby. My other in law had this experience when her oldest was 5 she had her second baby boy who is my husband.

I am on my second pregnancy due in August. I have a 20 month old. Oh my gosh I am SO TIRED. My daughter is smack in the middle of the tantrum stage which is also exhausting. As per the weight gain- I wouldn't totally bank on gaining a ton at the end. Everyone is so different and every pregnancy is so different. With my first I gained a ton initially and by 20 weeks I was at 20 pounds.. But then it slowed down and I gained a total of 35 pounds. With this one I barely gained initially and then packed on the weight in my second trimester. But it has slowed down. So you will see!! I feel like it all evens out and your body does what it needs to. xo

I’m due September 26th with a baby girl! I’ve gained a total of 45 ish pounds so far and I feel terrible about it but in the beginning I wasn’t watching what I was eating and I wasn’t active ! im nervous to see how much more I put on now going into the third trimester but I’ve been eating so much healthier and limiting myself more and I just hope it pays off. Lol everything else is me tho! And I’ve had TERRIBLE pelvic pain from about 12 weeks onwards. Sometimes I can’t even roll over in bed or stand on one leg when putting my pants on, sometimes my husband will even have to carry me to bed because it’s so bad!

Hi Susan I’m 13 weeks pregnant and I have a daughter who is 16 months and delivered via C section in your update you didn’t mention how your C section scare feels with your growing belly mine hurts on and off at least on the inside I’ve been told it’s normal but just curious if you felt this pain also

Yes, these symptoms happen with a girl baby, they say girls steal Mom's beauty . When I was pregnant with my girl baby my neck became so dark and after delivery it slowly turned to normal

I’m due with my first in early October. I’m not finding out what I’m having, but I’m definitely having sweets cravings. Lots of pineapple and grapes (and chocolate and ice cream). Pretty much the only exercise I’m up for is very relaxed swimming, but it’s practically a miracle for the swelling in my feet! Sunday my feet looked normal after 15 min in the pool.

Lol I am pregnant with a girl and I’m 23 weeks and the cravings have come now and this is my first pregnancy and I’ve been eating burgers 🍔 hotdogs and gummy bears 😂😂 it’s probably a girl thing!

I try to eat really want to eat healty but my baby won't let me lol I want cheese burgers, nachos cheese and meat, fried chicken and pickles.
