As a kid back in the 70s, I used to crush my opponents with the Bishops opening, Kings gambit and Scotch gambit. Then one day I got to play my friends dad who was a regular club player and I decided to wipe him off the board with the scotch gambit . To my shock he took with the knight, something I never contemplated to be possible and went on to beat me quite easily. Many of your trap videos bring back fond memories of my early chess experiences.
Kaspa is Tip Top as usual. Dare I say, Simply the Best. Always most interesting & informative but feel he's giving us an unfair advantage ! But who am I to look a gift horse in the mouth, elbows included...

I figured out i prefer to learn the offensive and apply the defensive afterward. Trying to defend from an unlearned offense is blind play to which i draw blanks. Learning the offense makes it much more easy to recognize the "best" move of the opponent. Knowing how to execute the scotch gambit is the best way to learn it's defense.
Hi There ... I used your style against the Scotch Gambit by using my Knight to take the pawn and my opponent (White) also went to take the pawn. It seems they got confused ..... I beat him/her.
I don't like this recommendation, 3...Nxd4, only for the fact that I've been playing your previous recommendation, 3...exd (commonly followed by Nxd4, Bc5, Nxc6, Qf6), against the Scotch. This new recommendation is in anticipation of White playing the Scotch Gambit, which may have never been White's intention.
For me (Scotch gambit player) I consider exd4 Bc4 Bb4+ instead of Nxd4 the best counter. There is literally no theory and traps for white. It's basically transposing to Danish gambit but a little worse espiecially if white doesn't play it.
