Someone on Hermitcraft (I think it was Cubfan? If not him, maybe Jevin. It was mentioned while one of them was searching for the "silence" armor trim, and I think they both succeeded in finding it) explained that the city can only spawn under extreme mountain biomes and the terrain generation while generating the city effectively lifts up all of the blocks in those chunks that are over a certain height to create the open cave space for the city to fill up. It tries to smooth out the edges of the shifted terrain up top but you still get some sheer cliff faces out of it, which is a telltale sign that he was looking for to know where to look for the cities.

For the center of your base, you should have water pools going up every so often so you can dropper into them and then use your trident to fly up and go to different floors. Or you could do a big spiral staircase in the middle, that would look pretty awesome too! And then a level up from the ground, you should have it split off four ways onto a platform and then underneath it, have the whole lower levels change over to the deep dark and incorporate the ancient city that way. Another cool idea would be to put floating candles all the way down the middle! So many awesome ideas you could do! It'll look great!

The stairs in the center would look great, but then there needs to be a bridge to the stairs so they are accessible. I think Sigils want the center to be empty, but IDK.

Sigils, you should check out fogged glass for your base. Basically place five or more layers of glass with one block of air in between and it makes a really nice effect

Instead of blank concrete in the walls of your bunker base, you should try to gradient the walls of the bunker with other shades of dark blocks! It might make it look less bland.

With the fence, maybe using the fencing with slabs on top of the fencing. Also, hoes break skulk the fastest and you can change the ancient city into a Sigil palace where all the skulk farms or villager center are after defusing all sensers and shreakers.

You should little by little remove the skulk sensor and the screecher, and then make a warden farm. Maybe leave a torch in the area so you know where you’ve been. After that is done and delt with set up a secretary system around your new base.

You can never go wrong with the classic grey and white color. Wouldn't surprise me if you casually have a section of green. Especially for like a tree at the bottom.

I think you should probably move the base down to like -60. To stop wardens from spawning do this: 1. Find a skulk shrieker and make a redstone clock connected to a door to make it constantly open and close( the skulk shrieker has a cooldown of about 10 seconds so it doesn't always go off) 2. Then place carpets around the shrieker to prevent wardens from spawning. As long as that shrieker detects noise no other shrieker around would spawn a warden so you can mine and do whatever down there

You can destroy the shriekers and the ancient city just becomes the safest place since normal mobs can't spawn in the deep dark. Also you can use sideway chains that link Blackstone brick walls for the edges of the floors, it doesn't cost that mutch since you have an iron farm and it gives a vibe kind of like the ropes in factories/ old military buildings

This is something that you may have to go away over the top for, but you could get a silk touch pickaxe and mine every single shulker, shulker sensor, everything you will get a lot of resources or you could probably find a faster way to do it if you wanted and just totally make the deep dark safe safe, then use it as a part of your base

My sister and I are so proud of how great your building skills are, and my sister has an eye for this stuff. I was so scared when Zud confronted you, so I was relieved when you (hopefully) got away with that. If you can keep this up, you might be able to successfully convince Zud to join your mighty Sun Kingdom! Even though you are building into dangerous territory, you can use this to your advantage because most people wouldn't dare to go somewhere so scary, and you can make a warden farm.

Hey sigils, what you could do for the ancient city is try and get all of the shriekers(the things that scream) and surround them in wool or break them. That would make it so the wardens won’t spawn and you would be able to loot it safely!

For the base, even though it may take time, I saw a video from shulkercraft that you can just break all of the sensors and Shrekers. If you do that, you don’t have any risk of wardens spawning although you may want to check the areas around the base as well.

I really wanna see Sigils find the silenced armour trim, it has a 1% spawn chance in the ancient city and as one of the best, if not the best looking armour trim!! I also would’ve used trap doors for the railing instead of slabs

For your base! Instead of using slabs as a railing, maybe use black stained glass pains or a different type of stained glass pains (black would be a good accent because you’re using white and dark grey). I feel like doing this would really tie your base together.

For the ancient city, you could easely loot. If you dont mind getting a couple extra deaths you could leave all your stuff behind and destroy all the shriekers, once you have done that you could use the city for your base. Btw i love your vids keep up the good work.

Hey, Sigils. For the Warden issue, just use wool or carpet... carpet muffles your footsteps and wool blocks muffle every thing else if placed around the Skulk Sensors.

Sigils you can try to find all the sculk blocks that summon wardens, pretty sure hoe’s should insta break it, and if you have still touch on it you might be able to get it, I don’t remember. P.S if you get the ones that spread sculk then you can use them for pranks on Zud to pin Bif even more since he took both of you there.

You should us a water elevator as an emergency way between rooms or to surface and use ur elitra as main was up and down so not anyone could walk around ur base without one. That being said you'd need to hide the elevator in a sense and make like little landing platforms in center of base for each floor.

you should purify the ancient city by removing all the sculk stuff then rebuild it and live in it and the base your working on right now could be a really complex multilayer door thats you need codes and keycards for or you could just fill it up

To "defuse" the deep dark, there are tutorials on youtube to make warden traps(basically it constantly attracts the warden so he never chases you)

You should make a trap door prison, similar to what the Back rooms are, but in your base so that if anyone comes in when they shouldn't be, it traps them in there with the Warden. Maybe using obsidian for the walls and floor?

sigils check the doorways in your base to the other secret base because its the same as zuds doors that he used in ur door for the base under the tent - sigils read this and check before he destroys evidence in your base - also just destroy all the catalist thingys and skulk sensors

so S said something about this a while ago he could do a system where you press a button and a slime block extends to that floor or be big brain and make an up/down elevator 1 block under the max limit it can push and put a piston inverter to stop it a each floor I hope this makes sense

I think stained glass panes for the slabs would look cool. Make them grey, black, or green to tie in the ceiling and your color more.

The ancient city is a golden oppertunity. If you remove the sensors and spawners, you could turn it into a fully furnished redstone laboratory where you can construct prototype devices before implementation. Even if you don't like the idea of a lab it would still make for a really cool level of your base. To go even further you could make each level a different biome/ dimention/ naturally spawning structure with a nether theme on (example) level 7 with a nether fortress theme for level 8. A stronghold theme on level 9 with stone (regular, mossy, and cracked) bricks could transition to an end theme, and then an end city for level 11 before reaching the ancient city. Obviously this is a lot of work and the numbering of the levels is ambicious but the idea is there.

@@SterlingRainey Level 10 would be the end, before the end city and after the stronghold. The levels before the nether can be used for used for overworld biomes/ naturally spawning structured. The first levels could be a forest biome, a desert biome, and a plains biome with a village themed level somewhere between them to act as a trading hub, and for building autofarms like in the old base. An ocean theme (warm ocean included) could be used for level 5 which could transition to an ocean monument theme on level 6, fully utalising the prismarine and deep sea lanterns. If more overworld levels are needed/ wanted, then adjustments can be made to the plans. This is only a general idea. If the jungle biome is done then am not sure about doing a jungle temple theme given design similarities to the stronghold, though its still a good option.

I think that you should leave the middle open and have a giant tree in the center with a water fall going off the edges of the circle for dropping items into hoppers. Also if you leave center open you can just fly to where you need to be. Another thing, use a tnt duplicate to drop tnt onto the floor for mining that should take care of wardens as well.

Hey Sigils, I have an idea on what you should do with the ancient city! You should break all of the shriekers (the things that scream and summon the warden) to make the city perfectly safe and then transform it into something of your choosing. It's risky, yes, but it's worth it in the end

Idea for storage room Like in your other base it items should drop down letting you see them drop but the hole should be a circle in the middle of each floor surround by a glass wall letting you watch all your items drop to the bottom with water and ice paths making the items fall in the pit.

Sigils you should make the center a giant tree that branches out to certan floors and the center of the tree be a water elevator system that has a trapdoor or something to stop at each layer the sides of the water elevator would be walls of sorts maybe mossy walls also get rid of the shreakers they look like ribcage blocks with a void in the center that will stop wardens spawning to get rid of wardens use entity cramming

Sigils what you should do for the ancient city under your base is just fly around once or twice and don’t worry about how many wardens you spawn and instead focus on getting rid of the shriekers that spawn the wardens and once all of the shriekers are gone no more wardens can spawn.

If you look at ilmangos warden disabler will be great also you could turn it into a warden farm and use a piston hooked up to two observers facing each others to pacify the warden’s then when a security system is triggered it will pull out one of the observers making all the warden’s hostile making whoever triggered the system reget the actions quickly.

it would be amusing if you could do more towers possibly 1 in each biome like your tower in this vid. maybe you can convince zud to let you build him a secret base in a distant biome away from your secret base or convince him to build 1 for you an a different biome. you could even ask zud to help you deal with the warden[s] through a different pathway to the warden zone.

Sigils, I think that for the way to access each floor should be a replica of a modern day elevator and for when you reach that dangerous biome, you should try make it so that you need special clearance for the elevator to go down that far.

Btw you can disable a warden by getting a door to continuously open and close with red stone and putting carpet around the shrieker only one and the chunk has to be loaded it works because a shrieker goes of every ten seconds and only one will go off at a time and wardens can’t spawn on carpet so you won’t have to worry about the ancient city

Honestly to connect it to the city, but make the path booby trapped. If you can make it so you have to hold a certain item, or put it in a barrel, so that the path is open with a watervator, to the undercity.

The way to traverse Ancient Cities is to bring a crap ton of wool, so you can make a path, and to also cover a Sculk Shrieker, If they are properly covered (All sides of the block) Then you should be free to destroy the Sculk sensors. As long as your only moving on wool you won't make sound and trigger any sculk blocks (So you can run on wool pretty much) Any other block will create noise and summon the warden

maybe you could integrate riptide + a conduit into your base elevator? like a giant thing of solid water in the center that you can fling yourself up/down/all around to get to where you want?

I have an idea. You continue mining down the huge tunnel. Once you get to cave roof and its an even hole, you can drop down lava directly under the walls of the tunnel. Then wait for the lava to get to the floor of the city. Then drop down water to make the walls excluding the rest of the city. After this you can start clearing skulk by covering screechers in wool and destroying sensors (once you cleared sensors you can destroy screechers one by one) (use a hoe for speed) And you just cleared the area you need 👍. And can continue down. GL I hope you can achieve this.

If you don't mind a little bit of destruction, then what you can do to get rid of the warden is spawn in withers one at a time. Because one with will be able to get the Warden below half health and then you can collect nether star once it dies. Then summon in another wither to kill the warden so All you have to do is going and defeat the wounded wither.

I think you should try to neutralize the warden place. Just keep going down there without any armor or anything and just mine every shrieker and those stuff… if you wanted to collect some you could just bring an ender chests to drop off stuff if a warden is spawning. Then at the end just flood the place with lava or something. Idk it’s just a thought. But I think it would be cool if you neutralized the area then just integrated it into your base.

No idea, I guess you could remove nearby shriekers and skulk sensors, and then create an observatory on that level. The Ancient Cities look pretty sick.

Sigils mobs dont trigger the shriekers. Only the players can. Wardens eventually go away it just takes a few minutes. Also the Wardens will be able to hit through walls due to the sonic boom charge they have. Oh and 1 last thing about the city if u remove all shriekers Wardens wont spawn in the city no more so all u have to do is get rid of the shriekers and ur basement should be ok. Loves vids keep up the good work.

Sigils the skulk sensors are not what you need to worry about you need to worry about the skull shriekers those are what give you darkness and they also spawn the warden

What if you make the shill sensors go into a wall for the multi level elevator and have them go back into the wall behind a block of wool so that when they are open they will stop the elevator by sending a redstone signal to a piston etc?

Leave it as a deep, giant pit, with a trap at the bottom to kill people with wardens. Keep your lab as an offshoot entrance lower down!
