I started my cross country hitchhiking trip on Thursday August 26,1976 at 15 years old with 50 cents in my pocket. Not that I was like a misplaced person or anything, but I learned a lot making it to California in 9 out of the 11 days it took to get there. Back then everyone helped each other without really asking, I’m retired now and I still help people because of my childhood.
Wonderful story, Victor Alfieri as Ferro Olivetti aka Claude kept his promise to his dying dad. His kindness and humility showed he could become successful anywhere. A lesson we all should share. It would be a happier world if we respected each other without pre-judging them before knowing them. We don't know their story and our smile or hello could brighten their day.
I love this movie. I was moved with the love of father to his son to find the reality of what is the true happiness in life , not being rich but living a life according to how you feel you are whole as a human being

Too predictable but so funny to see all these lovable characters. New York City has a way of touching your heart in more than one way. These two main characters are lovable, funny in such a typical Italian love story. I had fun watching it.

I got so emotional when the hotdog vendor gave him a hotdog for free😢😢 It reminds me when I was jobless almost for 1 year strugling for foods. I was hoping he would help him at the end with the truck driver. And he did it. Beautiful story of life❤❤❤

A very good movie, it shows the love of a son to his father by obeying him no matter what happens to him, he left all his material wealth for his father and live an ordinary man, just like our Father in Heaven He sent his only son on earth just an ordinary man without using his power. Lovely movie , has a lot to learn , being humble an down to earth teaches him a lot his dad knew he needed that experience in his life , he got the perfect woman , an he help those along his journey, it reminds me of an old movie , The Prince an the poorer . I really enjoy this .
