My Settings For Birds In Flight At RSPB Bempton Cliffs with the OM-1 Mk2 and M.Zuiko 300mm f/4

I've been doing quite a bit of wildlife shooting behind the scenes lately so I thought I'd bring you along for a bit of birds in flight shooting at RSPB Bempton Cliffs. Here you'll see some fantastic sea birds and it's great for honing your skills too! Oh, and there's Puffins too, and the most gorgeous looking Gannets around!
So, come take a stroll with me around the cliffs shooting a great selection of birds with some of the settings and my top tips too!

Here, and I thought 18:23 was your try at a Fine Art photo. . . I’ve shot birds on a number of occasions, including a workshop I did here in San Diego just as Covid was making itself known in China, and have a few images in my portfolio I’m quite fond of. But being more of a landscape photographer I tend to prefer ‘birdscapes’ - i.e. photos that place the birds within their environmental context, or vice-versa, as you did at 18:53.

I do admit after doing a lot more landscape work I always do find myself looking at the surroundings as well as the birds. Although sometimes it just doesn't come off, but that's why we have nice lenses right? ;)

Thanks Mike! Would you believe that took 3 weeks to film so I had the right shots? 😅 Have to admit I'm tempted to go back again soon - I may have traded the 300 in last week for an upgrade... 😉

@@LeighWPhotos Not wanting to interfere Lee. if you can try before you buy that 300 mm F4 is Olympus sharpest Long lens. Another great video great images at the end the music wasn’t bad either.
